Sir, is it useful to have fixed teeth transplantation. My age is about 46

MDS - Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, BDS, MFDS RCPS (Glasgow)
Dentist,
Sir, I assume you are talking about dental implants. If you are, it is perfectly possible to get fixed teeth at any age, but the decision is made only after a thorough clinical and, as necessary, radiological and laboratory evaluation. As far as the question of usefulness goes, you have to weigh the probable benefits over the potential risks associated with the technique. You need to weigh all the available options for replacement against each other, as well as against no treatment, and then come to a conclusion on the issue. Regards

Sir my teeth is yellow. How? This problem to the water.&or other. Please give me answer.
Advise deep cleaning, polishing, whitening (bleaching) procedures, artificial enamel filling or capping. Advance procedures can be done with laser. Use Snowdent tooth paste for whitening until then. Apply SNOWDENT paste on the teeth. Wait for 10 to 15 min .Then brush your teeth with the same paste. Applying it overnight for better results. Cause of discoloration – Smoking, coffee, tea, drugs, aging, staining food (wine, blueberry, etc) genetics.

Is there any way to cure yellow teeth?

MDS - Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery
Dentist,
Is there any way to cure yellow teeth?
Kindly consult a dentist in person for further suggestion. We need more investigations to decide upon treatment. You may need deep cleaning along with whitening (bleaching) procedures and / or artificial enamel filling. Advance procedures can be done with laser. You may consult me in person. Dental tips: - visit a dentist every six months. Gargle your mouth thoroughly after every meal. Scrub gently to clean your tongue with a tongue cleaner. Floss all your teeth inter dentally & brush twice daily, morning & night, up & down short vertical strokes, with ultra-soft bristles, indicator brush.

It doesn't matter whether u take which ever form of medicine to control your sugar level. The only thing which matters is that your blood sugar level should be under control. Then u can undergo any form of surgery.

Soft drinks, cordials and fruit juices should be consumed in a limited quantity because they are acidic in nature. Acidic food or drinks often soften the tooth material which leads to the dissolution of minerals into the tooth enamel, resulting in cavities (holes).

How to take care of our teeth?

BDS
Dentist,
Burshing twice daily, flossing and use of mouthwash basically does the trick. Regular dental check up at every 6 month helps to detect caries in its incipient form thereby preventing bigger complication later on. Try avoiding refined carbs in your diet and make sure you thoroughly rinse your mouth with normal water after having food.

If plaque accumulates in your mouth and you are unable to get rid of it despite brushing daily, there is another way out. Waterjets hare devices which blast pressurised streams of water to remove plaque from the deep areas of your mouth can be used.

I have to go for dental implant asap but am going to marry after 1 month. I am really worried if pregnancy factor is safe in second stage of dental implant?

BDS
Dentist, Anand
No pregnancy factor is not important , as if there is only one or two implants doctor can put healing screw directly so that theres no need of second stage surgery..

You might be having pyorrhea. Start warm saline rinse and using mouthwash regularly after meals and brush twice daily. Periodontitis is a set of inflammatory diseases affecting the periodontium, i. E, the tissues that surround and support the teeth. Periodontitis involves progressive loss of the alveolar bone around the teeth, and if left untreated, can lead to the loosening and subsequent loss of teeth. Periodontitis is caused by microorganisms that adhere to and grow on the tooth' s surfaces, along with an over-aggressive immune response against these microorganisms. A diagnosis of periodontitis is established by inspecting the soft gum tissues around the teeth with a probe (i. E, a clinical examination) and by evaluating the patient' s x-ray films (i. E. A radiographic examination), to determine the amount of bone loss around the teeth[ 1] specialists in the treatment of periodontitis are periodontists; their field is known as" periodontology" or" periodontics.

I m 22 year old. My teeth r getting yellow day by day wt precautions I hv take nd any medicine.

I m 22 year old. My teeth r getting yellow day by day wt precautions I hv take nd any medicine.
Hello. When brushing twice a day and flossing doesn't help improve your yellow teeth, it's time to consider other options. Teeth become yellow due to stains – both deep and surface-level – as well as other causes that sometimes aren't under our control. Although coffee and cigarettes leave stains on your teeth over time, thin tooth enamel also makes teeth look yellow. Tooth enamel is the hard, white surface of your teeth, and underneath it is a pale brown substance called dentin. Thick enamel looks white, but thin enamel allows dentin tones to show through, making teeth look yellow from the outside. Enamel naturally wears thin as people age, but acids from foods and drinks such as sour candies, oranges and soda also thin the enamel by eroding its surface. Saliva neutralizes acid and washes it away, but people suffering from dry mouth miss out on this protective effect. Other causes of yellow teeth include antibiotic use or excessive fluoride intake in young children, which can cause yellow-stained adult teeth later. Treatments for certain conditions can also affect tooth color. For example, head and neck radiation and chemotherapy can cause teeth discoloration. In addition, certain infections in pregnant mothers can cause tooth discoloration in the infant by affecting enamel development. Certain medication, mouth rinses can also causes yellow staining. Preventing Yellow Teeth: Avoiding smoking, coffee and soda helps prevent yellow teeth, or you can get into the habit of drinking those darker beverages through a straw. Drink milk or plain water after eating or drinking something acidic to help reduce the acid's eroding effect. Brushing and flossing also help, and avoiding snacks between meals allows your saliva to dilute the acids in your mouth too. Using over-the-counter whitening agents will also helps. Discolorations are generally responsive to bleaching procedures.

MDS - Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery
Dentist,
I'm working. I have been getting bad smell from mouth. please suggest.
Gastritis, lung & sinus infection may also be the cause of bad smell in the mouth. 90% of bad breath is due to a dirty tongue. We need more investigations with clinical examination to decide upon treatment. You may need deep cleaning. Rinse your mouth thoroughly with a mouth wash until then. Advance procedures can be done with laser too. Dental tips: - visit a dentist every six months for cleaning and a thorough dental check-up. Limit sugary food to avoid tooth decay. Gargle your mouth thoroughly after every meal. Scrub gently to clean your tongue with a tongue cleaner. Floss all your teeth inter dentally & brush twice daily, morning & night, up & down short vertical strokes, with ultra-soft bristles, indicator brush. Tooth brush to be changed every 2 months.

I'm 23 yo male. I have cold since last week. Now I can feel my lymph node in neck and it is somewhat swelled but not that much. I also had pericoronitis in my wisdom teeth last week. Can it cause swelling? I have health anxiety and right now I can't shake thought that it is lymphoma.

MDS, BDS
Dentist, Mumbai
Any source of infection like peri-coronotis can cause enlarged and tender cervical lymph node. It become normal once existing infection is removed.

Hi yellow stains on teeth can be due to habit of gutka, tobacco, pan, alcohol and smoking. Quit these habit if you have as they cause some serious problems like cancer, submucous fibrosis and leukoplakia. In fluorosis there is white patches on the teeth. So you need to be investigated and diagnosed with the condition . After that treatment plan can be decided.

Hi. I am 45 yrs old suffering from severe pain in teeth and sensitive teethes problem. Please suggest remedy.

BDS
Dentist, Bangalore
Sensitivity is directly related to tooth wear away( cervical abrassion, erosion or attrision).. This is most likely caused my faulty tooth brushing technique or severe gastric regurgitation or by teething.. These problems can be treated either by fillings or night guard or etc.., depending on the diagnosis.. If left untreated, then severe pain is expected which may need RCT if u want to save the teeth.. So plz do visit ur dentist soon for the required treatment...

I am suffering from wisdom tooth pain from last 3 days. Please suggest some remedy?

MDS - Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery

I am suffering from wisdom tooth pain from last 3 days. Please suggest some remedy?
Wisdom teeth usually make their appearance between the ages of 17 and 21, though it's possible for them to push through earlier or later. Referred to as your "third molars, these four teeth begin to push through the skin like any other tooth, which can cause pain. However, wisdom teeth are much more likely to grow in at an incorrect angle – even sideways – causing impaction that can radiate this pain to the teeth in front of it.

It sounds like a lymphadenopathy which seldom develops into a serious problem but often subsides and may give acute symptoms. Better visit a dentist.

During orthodontic treatment, suffering from pain and soreness in the mouth is quite common. To lessen the degree of it, the patient can gargle with  8 ounces of lukewarm water with one teaspoonful of salt dissolved in it. It will surely dull the pain and provide some relief.
