Bar Soap vs. Body Wash: Which is Better for You?

Bar Soap vs. Body Wash: Which is Better for You?

The most important part of skincare is keeping your skin cleansed and fresh. But before that, it is imperative to find the right product for the same. Skin type varies from person to person, and hence finding skincare goods most suited to your skin makes all the difference.

Bathing habits directly affect the quality of your skin, which involves picking the appropriate cleanse; i. E. Choosing between a body soap and body wash. Each has a different set of characteristics and comes with its own set of advantages and disadvantages. Let's find out which one is better for your skin.

Why you should choose bathing soap bar:

  •  it is more effective in removing dirt through deep cleansing
  •  it is suited to skin that is excessively oily in nature as it contains ingredients that are highly effective in stripping off excess oil from the skin

Why you should not choose bathing soap bar:

  •  it tends to strip the skin of its natural oils and moisture, making it dry and flaky
  •  it is unhygienic in case of sharing between individuals as soaps tend to accumulate the dirt from your skin due to direct body contact

Reasons to pick a body wash:

  •  it has a very mild and gentle effect on the skin in comparison to soaps
  •  it keeps the skin moisturized by preserving natural oils
  •  it is more hygienic than bar soaps in case of interpersonal sharing
  •  it is the most suitable option for dry skin

Reasons to ditch a body wash:

  •  it contains a large amount of artificial additives and preservatives that can do more harm to your skin than good, giving rise to allergic reactions in some cases

So, who's the winner of the two?

You must certainly base the choice on what's best for your skin type. Body soap is more compatible with oily skin while dry skin is better suited for body wash. A body wash, however, is much more gentle on your skin. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a Dermatologist.

Your wife does not have interest in sex. I advise her to take proper balanced vegetarian diet. Take 8 to 10 glasses of water daily to detoxify body. Take fruits and vegetables in daily diet. Do meditation for mental strength daily. Get her blood hemoglobin test done and tell me report for better guidance and natural, safe and permanent treatment.

Damaged Fallopian Tubes - 3 Types

MBBS, DGO
Gynaecologist, Delhi
Damaged Fallopian Tubes - 3 Types

The fallopian tubes are not mere passages for the egg to travel from the ovaries to the uterus. It is here that conception occurs and hence healthy fallopian tubes are essential for the fertilization of an egg.

Damaged fallopian tubes are the most common cause of infertility. This damage can fall under three categories.
1.  Blocked fallopian tubes
2.  One blocked and one open fallopian tube
3.  Tubal scarring

The third is usually an effect of pelvic infections or natural healing after a pelvic surgery. Sadly, in most cases, this condition is discovered only after infertility has been diagnosed. Other causes of fallopian tubal scarring include

*  STDs such as chlamydia trachomatis and neisseria gonorrhea
*  Adhesions caused by ruptured ovarian cysts
*  Appendicitis
*  Peritonitis and
*  A history of ectopic pregnancies

Fallopian tubal scarring has no recognizable symptoms. Chronic pelvic pain is the only known symptom of this damage and that too can be seen only in severe cases of tubal scarring. On diagnosing infertility, your doctor will perform one of these tests to determine the condition of your fallopian tubes.

1.  Hysterosalpingogram
This is a type of X-ray. Your doctor will open the vagina with a speculum and inject a liquid into the uterus with the help of a catheter. If the liquid does not pass through the fallopian tubes, it is said to be blocked. This however does not say much about tubal scarring.

2.  Laparoscopy
A small incision is made below the belly button and a slim, flexible tube with a camera is passed through the incision. This gives your doctor a clear view of the condition of your fallopian tubes. A laparoscopy can also be used to rule out other causes of infertility such as endometriosis or blocked fallopian tubes.

Treatment for infertility caused by tubal scarring is of two types:
1.  Surgery
This is suggested in cases where tubal scarring is minimal. Depending on the intensity and placement of scar tissue, your doctor may decide to perform one of many types of surgeries. He may choose to remove the scarred section of the fallopian tube, create a new opening (in case of blockages) or rebuild the damaged edges of the fallopian tubes.

2.  In vitro Fertilization(IVF)
Women with badly scarred fallopian tubes usually have poor chances of conceiving naturally. Hence, IVF is the preferred treatment route. However, your doctor may still advise you to undergo surgery and remove the damaged tubes prior to IVF to prevent the tubes from filling with fluid. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a Gynaecologist.

Risk of bleeding any time. Type of delivery will depend on when she bleeds, how much and what is position of placenta at that time. Position of placenta does not change but depending on other areas around growing, relatively it may look different.

Healthy Lifestyle Habits And Personal Care For Every Woman!

MBBS, MS - Obstetrics and Gynaecology
Gynaecologist, Gurgaon
Healthy Lifestyle Habits And Personal Care For Every Woman!

Balancing the personal and professional life can be quite taxing. In the process, women often neglect their health. Work is important but not more than your health. Women of reproductive age should be extra careful. Many women particularly suffer from gynecological problems (PCOS, menstrual problems, endometriosis, uterine fibroids, to name a few). Thus, following a healthy lifestyle is the key to a healthy body (physical, mental as well as emotional). Health issues, no matter how minor, should not be left unattended.

Maintaining a healthy lifestyle:
A healthy lifestyle can help ward off many unwanted health complications (especially gynecological problems).

  1. Eat a Healthy Diet. Many women live by fast foods. While burgers, pizzas, and fried foods may satisfy your taste buds, your body and overall health will have to bear the brunt. Once a while, pampering yourself with fast foods is fine, but do not make it an everyday practice. Include more of fresh fruits and vegetables in your diet. A healthy and balanced diet takes care of many gynecological disorders, including menstrual problems. Keep your body well hydrated.
  2. Obesity. Obesity can wreak havoc in a woman's life, irrespectively of their age. It is one the underlying factors responsible for PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome) and other hormonal disorders. Thus, maintaining a healthy body weight becomes very important.
  3. Do not Compromise on your Sleep. On an average, a woman needs between 6-8 hours of sleep daily. A sound and healthy body can work better. Try and follow a healthy sleeping routine. Ideally, you should retire to bed by 10 pm and wake up by 6 am. Avoid stress and anxiety as much as you can. Too much stress can cause a hormonal imbalance with serious complications.
  4. Physical Activities and Workouts: Exercise and meditation act as a tonic for the body. You may lead a hectic life but 30 minutes a day is all that you need to refresh and rejuvenate your body. You will be able to kick-start the day with a renewed vigor and zeal. Women who are on the healthier side of the scale and have been trying hard to lose weight are sure to benefit from this.
  5. Annual Health Check-ups. Healthy or not, women (of all age groups) should go for annual health check-ups. Many health problems get complicated and almost untreatable due to late diagnosis. There is no point in taking chances with your health. Nobody can understand or know your body better than you. If you notice anything unusual (especially in your breast), immediately consult your physician. Self-awareness is essential.

Here are a few important personal care and hygiene that every woman should follow diligently

  1. Practice healthy vaginal hygiene. Wash your vaginal area daily. You can use warm water to clean the area.
  2. Avoid douching, use of perfumes and scented soaps in your vagina and adjacent areas. It can affect the pH of your vagina, resulting in infections.
  3. Always go for safe and healthy sex. Unprotected sex may cause STD (Sexually Transmitted Diseases) and infections (bacterial, viral or yeast).
  4. Keep a record of your menstrual cycle every month. Make it a habit to change your sanitary napkins frequently during periods.

Please adapt a healthy lifestyle and follow a discipline in daily life. Its important to maintain a healthy diet (balanced diet) with more of natural food products. Add two servings of fruits and vegetables everyday. Start exercising every day. Begin with mild exercise (brisk walking for 20 mins can be ideal) and increase the intensity and the duration. Learn Yoga (with pranayam and meditation included) as it can bring harmony to all the faculties, including regularizing the sleep pattern. This will also help deal with your irregular periods. Later you can start Homeopathy if there is not much improvement. You can contact me for a private consultation or opt for online chat.

Hi Jitendra. Try taking a very simple diet without oils and spices. Simple food like dahlia, khichdi, curd, cucumbers etc should decrease the problem. Also you can try taking juice of 1/2lemon with a pinch of salt undiluted twice a day before meals. Research even indicates taking ginger juice to effectively decrease the vomiting. But i see you have only tried taking Raciper medicine. Try taking Dominate or ondem tablets. They will surely give you relief. Hope you find this helpful. All the best
