Hi. As height can be gained till 21 yrs. Of age in males and 18 yrs. In females, so you do have 2 yrs. More to grow further! medication: start taking homoeopathic medicines which are safe to take without any side-effects - bakson's hite-aid and five phos. - both thrice daily and thuja 1m/ one dose once a week - take them for 4 months. Management: consume a balanced diet. A person will look a lot shorter when having a plump body. Not only that, being fit by eating right will make you taller and feel better! eat plenty of lean protein. Lean protein, such as white poultry meat, fish, soy, and dairy, helps promote muscle growth and healthy bones. Simple carbohydrates such as pizza, cakes, sweets, and soda, are the stuff to stay away from. Eat plenty of calcium. Calcium, found in leafy green vegetables such as spinach and kale, and in dairy (yogurt and milk), helps promote healthy bones. Get enough zinc. Studies, although they have been inconclusive so far, point to a possible link between zinc deficiencies and stunted growth in boys. Good sources of zinc include oysters, wheat germ, pumpkin and squash seeds, lamb, peanuts, and crab. Get enough vitamin d. Vitamin d promotes bone and muscle growth in children, and a deficiency has been shown to stunt growth and cause weight gain in teenage girls. Vitamin d can be found in fish, alfalfa, or mushrooms commonly. 60% to 80% of your height is determined by genes! apart from these: -exercise throughout the teen years and in puberty. Get out and about and work your muscles for at least 30 minutes each day. Join a gym, join a sports team, if nothing else, walk around. Do get indulge in stretch exercises, and sports like basketball, volleyball. -sleeping is the time when your body grows, get between 9 and 11 hours of sleep per night if you're a preteen or still younger than 20. -avoid any bad habit like smoking which affects the height, also avoid anabolic steroids which inhibit bone growth in young children and teens. Aa-always stand straight instead of hunching your back. (you can probably increase your height by a few inches with diet and lifestyle changes, especially if you are still in your teens or even your early 20s (for boys).) get back to me after 4 months for further guidance. My mom had a back pain 2 days ago, We have consulted a local doctor n after giving injection he asked to take an x-ray. In d x-ray report 1. Anterior and lateral periodical osteophytes are seen. 2 reduced L5-S1 DISC space is seen. Is der any serious issue Pls advice should we consult a orthopedic.

There is not a serious issue. Osteophytes r not serious problem. For reduced disc space you should take care of some precautions like avoid forward bending, prolong standing, squatting. And do regular exercise for back strengthening. For acute pain you should apply ice pack locally twice a day for 15 min and some pain relieving gel after ice pack.

Night shifts disturbs biological clock, so do not continue it for long period. For healthy living. 1. Eat a balanced diet rich in proteins, minerals, vitamins, and fat. 2. Fill your diet with a wide range of fruits, vegetables, lean meats, fish, eggs, pulses, nuts, seeds, wholegrains and naturally low fat dairy foods. 3. Donot skip breakfast. 4. Drink plenty of fluids and water. 5. Exercise is an extremely important factor in staying healthy so try to be active. 6. Make sure you get enough sleep – it's an essential part of being healthy. While we're asleep, our bodies have that all-important time to repair.

As we know the white coloured polythene for storing the food which is hot is not safe. Then what about the silver coloured ones which often we see in hotels used for biryani. Is it good or it is also same as white coloured polythene ones?

silver color bag is actually not made from plastic but it is aluminium foil and aluminium is more safe then plastic to store any food material also it helps to prevent food contamination.

First of all you should follow some basic thing 1. Avoid=hot and cold at time 2. Less the sugar as much as possible if you want to eat sweet take juggery which is black 3. Do not drink water after meal drink at the time of meal sip by sip up to 150 ml 4. Avoid late night sleep 5. Panchamrut parpati 1 tab before lunch and dinner 6. Audumbaravleha 2 tsp before lunch and dinner.

Hello, Thanks for the query. Some good diet and medicines is needed for you. Eat food with carbohydrates and protein bt avoid food with high fat ,avoid fried foods, street food, junk food, processed food ,colas, red meats, butter, cheese, sausages, bacon etc. Avoid medicines like painkillers, anti cholesterol medicines, antibiotics, anti seizure medicines etc. Now Alcohol consumption is strictly avoided. Consume more of water, fresh fruits and green vegetables. I think it will be help you.

Unfortunately, within this 3 months I put on 5 kg weight. Due to sedentary life. I noticed my body got unshaped and I want to shape it. For that I started doing mild exercise but by doing some exercise I got fatigue and palpitation. Even with 30 second of exercise I got fatigue. Please guide me.

Instead of doing intensive exercises go for milk ones like brisk walking/ yoga which will help you lose weight & shape up without getting fatigued or hurt. You may also do some lifestyle modifications to remain active- Take stairs instead of lift, walk instead of taking transport.

Low level of Testosterone cause very slow growth of beard. For fast growth of beard apply these very useful methods: • Do SINHASANA & SARVANGASANA yogasana daily. There are many lifestyle and dietary guidelines that can be followed: take high protein prescribed diet, have paneer, eggs and potatoe daily. Incorporate dry fruits in your diet on a daily basis. Kindly show me a photograph of the affected part. Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck, back & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, contact me again. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem.

Hello Lybrate user according to Ayurveda Vata vikriti is the main factor for pain. Treatment- 1-apply prasarini oil or pranacharya restopain oil on your affected part and give hot water fomentation. 2-take yograj guggul and agni tundi vati after lunch and dinner with warm water. 3-Take maha rasnadi kwath 2-2 tsf twice a day. 4-Take pranacharya vatari capsule and syrup twice a day. You should follow these very important and simple things to prevent stone formation & to get sure treatment of kidney stones: 1. First take a lot of fluid daily. The more you drink water and fluid, the less amount of deposit accumulate in kidney. So you have to make your kidneys healthy just only by drinking 2-3 liters (10-12 glasses) of water. 2. Stones are mainly formed of calcium and oxalate. So take very low quantity of milk, cheese, cream and dairy products. 3. Do not take strawberry, plum, spinach and tomatoes. These fruits and vegetables are rich in oxalate. So avoid them to prevent from kidney stones. 3. Stop taking supplementary vitamin d and calcium medication. 4. Avoid animal protein diet- eggs, red meat, fish in diet. 5. Take less amount of salt, pickle and western foods. They have high amount of sodium. So avoid it. 6. Urinary infection are also one of the cause of stone. So take proper antibiotic treatment of urinary infection on time. Even when you feelburning sensation or pain during urination, don't avoid it. Take medication as soon as possible. I hope you follow them in your life andstay healthy. 7. You can take gokshur tablets of himalaya for 3 months. It definitely get relief from kidney stones.
