Dear lybrate user, alopecia, is d out come of irregular, life style, stress, anxiety, chronic diseases. Please, try to regulate your life style. Take, plenty of water to moisten your scalp. Go for meditation to nourish your hair follicles, allowing hair to grow smoothly. Take, your, breakfast, lunch & dinner easily digestible on time. Ensure, sound sleep in d night for 5/7 hrs. Avoid, dust, smok, junk food, alcohol, smoking, take, homoeo medicines @ acid phos 1000-6/ pills wkly. @ jaborandyq--20 drops, apply on your scalp, mixed with 20 drops of water, twice. Mr Suresh, Most important is her blood sugar and BP both need to be very well controlled. Fasting should be closer to 100 mg and PP should be 150 to 160 mg and HbA1c% <7. BP should be <130/80 mm Hg. This is essential and will help in giving her better fitness. She also should take a proper balanced diet that gives exact calories based on ideal body weight, sugar levels and extent of daily exercise. Should avoid sweets, deep fried foods, junk foods, pastries, aerated sweetened drinks and products containing fructose corn syrup. Should consume good amount of green leafy vegetables, salads and permitted fruits. she should refrain from butter, and ghee. If you want specific suggestions please come in a private conversation where I will be able to give specific guidelines.

My father is 59 years old. Recently he had a swelling around his neck with cough. He is a smoker. So we go for a chest X-ray and Blood test. Blood test and X- Ray found ok. Only ERC count found 40 instead of 15. He had gone through treatment but he still have swelling and additionally his face also get swelled. So what to do?

Dear lybrateuser, you should try to have a balanced & nutritious diet which includes fruits, vegetables, more of green leafy, milk & milk products like yoghurt, paneer, soya products, beans, dals, seeds like peanuts, groundnut, also have plenty of water along with it. Avoid spicy, fried food.

The most common form of morning stiffness and pain is due to muscle imbalances and poor conditioning of the muscles themselves. Here are some tips for how to handle your back pain: -while sleeping, try lying in a curled-up, fetal position with a pillow between your legs. If you usually sleep on your back, place a pillow or rolled towel under your knees to relieve pressure. -find a mattress with back support. A good mattress should provide support for the natural curves and alignment of the spine. Medium-firm mattresses usually provide more back pain relief than firm mattresses. -do not perform activities that involve heavy lifting or twisting of your back -avoid bending forward and sitting in a place for long time -stretching and strengthening exercises are important. -a physiotherapist can tell you when to begin stretching and strengthening exercises and learn how to safely, easily, stretch and strengthen the weak and tight areas of your lower back and hips which cause pain while sleeping. Do exercise to get a healthy body.Use whole cream milk.Take 3-4pcs banana with other dense fruits.Take dense vegetables.Take whole wheat,whole grain.unrefined foods more.Eat more often.Add ghee,cream,cheese,butter, with food.Eat lots of protein to build muscle instead of just fat.Add more healthy fat in cooking.Take nuts and seeds extra.No water before and during meals.Drink water 3 lit/day.Take proper sleep.

Dear lybrate user, you should apply lemon juice for one hour at night on your face and after that wash your face. Drink plenty of liquids. Avoid oily junk and spicy food. If your skin is oily or you have dandruf or any other problem you may consult privately so that homeo treatment can be given fir your proper cure.

Simple ways for a restful sleep 1.Cut down on caffeine: Caffeine drinkers may find it harder to fall asleep. Even a single cup of coffee in the morning may lead to a sleepless night. Caffeine blocks the effects of adenosine, a neurotransmitter thought to promote sleep. Caffeine can also interrupt sleep by increasing the need to urinate during the night. Because caffeine withdrawal can cause headaches, irritability, and extreme fatigue, it may be easier to cut back gradually rather than to go cold turkey. Those who can’t or don’t want to give up caffeine should avoid it after 2 p.m. Or noon if they are especially caffeine–sensitive. 2.Stop smoking or chewing tobacco: Nicotine is a central nervous system stimulant that can cause insomnia. If you continue to use tobacco, avoid smoking or chewing it for at least one to two hours before bedtime. 3.Limit alcohol intake: Alcohol depresses the nervous system, so a nightcap may seem to help some people fall asleep. Alcohol suppresses REM sleep, and the soporific effects disappear after a few hours. Alcohol also worsens snoring and other sleep breathing problems. 4. Worry and stress causes sleeplessness. Find out what hurts you and resolve the issue.

Eat healthy and fresh foods. Eat 3-4 servings of fruits daily. Eat lots of vegetables. Drink Pl of liquids. Avoid processed foods, fatty and fried foods. Eat nuts,leafy vegetables. Consume olive oil,canola oil. Avoid reusing oil. Hope this helps u

Best way to reduce fat is exercise and diet control. Take pranacharya medohar rasayn twice a day. Medohar guggul 2-2 twice a day. And pranacharya slim capsule 1-1 twice a day. Avoid junk food. Oily food. Fermented food. Alcohol consumption. Sugar. Milk products and sweets. Take oats and cereals more. And do pranayama early in the morning and walk for atleast 45 minutes a day. And do exercises. Dont sleep immediately after taking meal.

Sir I can drive a car in calcaneum fracture in my right foot and I have not more pain daily routine, cast is 3 weeks old.

Tips to Recover from an Abdominal Surgery

As soon as one is released from hospital after going through an abdominal surgery, the patient must make a checklist and an early recovery strategy before leaving home. Do follow the following tips and recover soon.

  1. Do make prior arrangements for a safe and comfortable journey back to home. Ensure that you have made transportation arrangements to go home safely. Use your own car or book any cab or take any friend’s help. Place a cushion over your abdomen to keep it safe from jerks.
  2. Do go for post-surgery checkup. Book an appointment with your surgeon post-surgery. This would ensure that surgery did not cause any side-effect.
  3. Understand the schedule for taking medicines. Usually the patients are given painkillers. If you think you are not getting relief from it then ask your surgeon to prescribe you an alternative. Patients are likely to suffer from constipation post an abdominal surgery. If that happens, intake more fibrous food, fluids and indulge in light physical activities. Patients can also ask for cheaper alternative medicines.
  4. Check for certain signs and symptoms and take adequate steps:
    • Take adequate sleep. There are chances that you may feel dizzy and fatigue, therefore one must observe change in sleep patterns. Have patience. Things will become normal in due course of time.
    • You will also be subjected to little pain from the incision. Take your medicines as directed in order to get an early relief from pain.
    • Draining of yellow color liquid from the incision in little quantities post the surgery is normal. If the drainage continues even after 7 to 14 days with redness around incision, it is a clear symptom of infection. Consult your surgeon immediately for the cure.
    • Removal of urinary catheter from the bladder may cause minor difficulties during urination. Situation will become normal in few days. If discomfort persists, consult your surgeon. 
  5. Identify the following dangerous symptoms and call your doctor right away.
    • Persistent vomiting or nausea
    • Incapability to digest food or fluids
    • Swelling in leg
    • Abnormal body temperature
    • Infection at the surgical site
  6. Maintain a healthy and supervised lifestyle post surgery.
    • It will take few days to return to your normal routine life. So have patience until then.
    • Go for morning and evening walks. Avoid heavy exercises as such activities may cause physical strain.
  7. Take care of your surgical incision
    • Surgical incision should be regularly cleaned or washed gently. Try to keep the surgical site dry until the stitches are removed.
    • After 5-7 days of surgery, the stitches would be removed by the surgeon. Avoid putting ointment on the stitches until then. It will take few weeks for the scars to fade.

Under proper care and supervision, the patient will soon recover post an abdominal surgery and will be able to get their life back on track.
