My mother aged 70 years suffering with knee pain from last 4 yrs. Her x-ray shows degenerative osteo-arthritis change in both knee joint. Presently she is taking tab. Diclogetic, panspeed-40, hemitrol kit, mavistin-250mg, joincerin & inj. Dm in both knee from last six months but pain & stuff in joint knee still persist. Her medical report as follows: hb-12.4, tc: 11, 800, esr-20, t3-1.32, t4-8.6, tsh-1.46, sub-5.27 I shall be thankful if you suggest some medicines for her treatment. Please provide suitable hospital with estimated cost for knee replacement, if it is required.

Most probably your mother is suffering from oa of knee. Knee surgery-total knee replacement (tkr) is quite safe & gives uniformly good results, in our hands. We have well equipped centers in delhi. Do ask for detailed treatment plan. Surgery should be done when patient is still active & will be able to takey benefit of surgery. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem. Kindly show me x rays before a final decision can be taken. She will be thoroughly investigated before surgery is under taken. Risk in surgery is less than the risk in crossing road.

bone pain & weakness is surely due to your habit of masturbation. stop your habit .monthly twice will be fine . but its not reccomended. 1) start 2 spoon ghee in glass of milk daily 2) drink natural fruits juice & have more fruits in your diet . 3) Do massage with warm sesame oil or suitable oil for 15 min., afterwards take hot fomentation for 10 min. 4) Start natural calcium supplement. 5) Do regular stretching exercise meditation will help you

I am suffering from bit. D deficiency from last two years and have back pain and sexually weak. What can we do.

Vitamin D deficiency also has calcium deficiency accompanying. Get serum levels tested for both. An x-ray spine or Dexa scan for T score will give more clue whether backache is due to osteoporosis or not, also x-ray will provide whether osteoarthritis is also present. Consult a physician, you may require vitamin d3 and calcium supplements. If you write to me above tests reports, being orthopaedic specialist, I could advise specific medications if needed for osteoporosis or osteoarthritis as the case maybe. Sexual weakness is usually due to physical weakness, deficiency of hormones or undue mental stress. All this can be taken care of by a physician or by me after tests advised. Androgen meds help for both bone mineralization and sexual weakness if any.

I am 28 years old and I am working on the computer for at least 10 hrs constantly on the computer and due to taht I am facing upper back pain problem. When I am sitting strait I feel good and confirtable, but due to work related concentration I majorly sit little lean toward forward, and on every 2-3 hrs, when pain starts I realise and I sit strait again for sometime, then again the same happen to me,

Hi, upper back pain is quiet common in people who work on computers for long time. If your pain has increased 1. Intially give rest 2. Hot fomentation 3. U need to take frequent breaks while you are working. 4. Just check my health tip feed on neck pain and how to sit while in front of a computer.

I have fracture in my left leg and some ligaments breakage how to cure faster as I am a football player.

Avoid sitting cross legged. Avoid squatting- quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day.

This is a general low back ache and for this you can follow these measures: one keep a pillow right under the knee while sleeping, next is you can keep ice in the painful area for about 5--10 minutes, if pain still persists you can stretch your body by twisting the waist on both sides how we used to do in the school drill similarly you can try which will help you relax as well will reduce the pain. Ice can be kept in the low back where you have back pain. It is suggestible to wear lumbo sacral belt which would help you to build the abdominal muscle tone which itself would make you feel better. You can also wear mcr chappals which would help you to have less weight falling in the painful back.

I have been suffering from back pain from last three days and now it starts paining in my legs also please suggest me what to do.

Here are some tips for how to handle your back pain: -stop normal physical activity for the first few days. This will help relieve your symptoms and reduce any swelling in the area of the pain. -apply heat or ice to the painful area. One good method is to use ice for the first 48 to 72 hours, and then use heat. Take pain relievers medicine. --while sleeping, try lying in a curled-up, fetal position with a pillow between your legs. If you usually sleep on your back, place a pillow or rolled towel under your knees to relieve pressure. -do not perform activities that involve heavy lifting or twisting of your back for the first 6 weeks after the pain begins. -avoid bending forward and sitting in a place for long time -stretching and strengthening exercises are important. But, starting these exercises too soon after an injury can make your pain worse. -some physiotherapy treatment like ift current can give you some relief. -a full history of your problem should be taken and your movements assessed by a physiotherapist. Please consult a physiotherapist for the same.

there is evidence that certain dietary supplements and vitamins can help with certain types of pain. Fish oil is often used to reduce pain associated with swelling. Topical capsaicin, derived from chili peppers, may help with arthritis, diabetic nerve pain, and other conditions. I am 30 year old male, I am having knee pain in left leg from past 10 years. It happened while playing football, after that the pain is ON and Off, If I do any leg exercise in gym like squats or weight training the pain increases, how do I diagnose the exact problem and give right treatment.

i suggest you to keep ice over the area and also you can use elbow braces which will help you to reduce pain.give proper rest to area .please try to avoid activities in outstretched hand .for eg dont take heavy objects which is above your head level

I just join gym my weight is 83 kg and hight is 5'6 now a days I feel pain in my right knee is there any reason.

It could be that your knee must have been injured during the workout. Kindly apply ice pack for 2 3 days if it does not subside you need to get yourself assessed for any ligament sprain.

For tennis elbow: - ice packs for local application - tennis elbow braces are available and one from aircast is useful - take anti-inflammatory medication as per your suitability - ultrasonics with physiotherapist is a useful modality for pain relief - avoid acticities which increase your pain for coccydynia or tail bone pain: - sitz bath 3-4 times in a day - use only cushioned surfaces for sitting, avoid hard surfaces - same anti-inflammatory medication will work in both conditions as both are due to localized inflammation let me know in 2-3 weeks time how you are feeling with these measures do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance. My left Leg knee and ankle pains a lot, and feels more heavier, B-12 (450.8 pg/ml) and D-3 (39.11 ng/ml) levels are now normal after been low for consecutive 4 years, also I feel pain in my left side back if I sit for more hours, and my left eye has gone noticeably small in last few years. Any suggestions what should I do to get full fit?
