Tips for removing kidney stones: 1. Avoid tea, coffee, alcohol, cold drinks, pickles, fish, poultry, meat, spinach, and chocolate. 2. Avoid sour, heavy, and dry food. 3. Increase intake of liquids like water, juice, soup, lime water lemon soda etc. 4. Be sure to drink enough water each day. Usually 1 to 2 liters of water per day is adequate. 5. Drink more if you are perspiring heavily, working outdoors, the weather is hot, etc. 6. Increase the use of barley, horse gram (a type of bean), ginger, and brown rice or parboiled rice. 7. Avoid suppressing urges to urinate and defecate. 9. Boil 10-12 basil leaves in 1 cup of water for 15 minutes. Mix 1 teaspoon of honey in it and take twice a day. Pls send your usg report becoz medication for stones depends upon size number and location of stones and can be given after usg.

Hi there ~ I am glad that you asked this question. Although this is an open forum and there would be limits to confidentiality that would be breached if I would answer your question fully, I will give you some information regarding the depressive disorder. I am however unable to prescribe medications or give you specific advice regarding counseling or therapy in your situation as it would be considered confidential and private. In that case I recommend that you book an online appointment after you review my profile on this website. Sadness or downswings in mood are normal reactions to life’s struggles, setbacks, and disappointments. Many people use the word “depression” to explain these kinds of feelings, but depression is much more than just sadness. Some people describe depression as “living in a black hole” or having a feeling of impending doom. However, some depressed people don't feel sad at all—they may feel lifeless, empty, and apathetic, or men in particular may even feel angry, aggressive, and restless. Whatever the symptoms, depression is different from normal sadness in that it engulfs your day-to-day life, interfering with your ability to work, study, eat, sleep, and have fun. The feelings of helplessness, hopelessness, and worthlessness are intense and unrelenting, with little, if any, relief. Are you depressed? If you identify with several of the following signs and symptoms—especially the first two—and they just won’t go away, you may be suffering from depression. You feel hopeless and helpless You’ve lost interest in friends, activities, and things you used to enjoy You feel tired all the time Your sleep and appetite has changed You can’t concentrate or find that previously easy tasks are now difficult You can’t control your negative thoughts, no matter how much you try You are much more irritable, short-tempered, or aggressive than usual You’re consuming more alcohol than normal or engaging in other reckless behavior What are the signs and symptoms of depression? Depression varies from person to person, but there are some common signs and symptoms. It’s important to remember that these symptoms can be part of life’s normal lows. But the more symptoms you have, the stronger they are, and the longer they’ve lasted—the more likely it is that you’re dealing with depression. When these symptoms are overwhelming and disabling, that's when it's time to seek help. Signs and symptoms of depression include: Feelings of helplessness and hopelessness. A bleak outlook—nothing will ever get better and there’s nothing you can do to improve your situation. Loss of interest in daily activities. No interest in former hobbies, pastimes, social activities, or sex. You’ve lost your ability to feel joy and pleasure. Appetite or weight changes. Significant weight loss or weight gain—a change of more than 5% of body weight in a month. Sleep changes. Either insomnia, especially waking in the early hours of the morning, or oversleeping (also known as hypersomnia). Anger or irritability. Feeling agitated, restless, or even violent. Your tolerance level is low, your temper short, and everything and everyone gets on your nerves. Loss of energy. Feeling fatigued, sluggish, and physically drained. Your whole body may feel heavy, and even small tasks are exhausting or take longer to complete. Self-loathing. Strong feelings of worthlessness or guilt. You harshly criticize yourself for perceived faults and mistakes. Reckless behavior. You engage in escapist behavior such as substance abuse, compulsive gambling, reckless driving, or dangerous sports. Concentration problems. Trouble focusing, making decisions, or remembering things. Unexplained aches and pains. An increase in physical complaints such as headaches, back pain, aching muscles, and stomach pain. I hope this helps. Take care and have a lovely day!

Don't use any creams. As it contains chemicals which may further worsen the condition. So it's better to avoid any creams or external applications containing chemicals. Better you can slice a cucumber and place over there for 20 minutes daily morning and night. 6 hrs sleep compulsory. Don't keep on think about dark circles instead focus on your works. Don't frequently look at mirror too. Please do a liver function test and revert back. Please be free consult me through online Lybrate. Thank you.

I am 28 years old is there any way to grow the size of the penis as I am healthy I want to grow the size of it.

C.S.C, D.C.H, M.B.B.S
General Physician,
Here are some key points about the average penis size. While 85% of women were satisfied with the size and proportion of their partner's penis men were less sure of themselves.1  45% of men believe they have a small penis.  It has been concluded that flaccid lengths range around 7 to 10 centimetres (2.8-3.9 inches).  Flaccid circumferences range around 9 to 10 centimetres (3.5 to 3.9 inches).  Erect lengths range around 12 to 16 centimetres (4.7 to 6.3 inches).  Erect circumference is around 12 centimetres (4.7 inches).  A higher BMI and older age appear to be weakly associated with a shorter erect penis length.  Male concern about whether penile size lives up to the desires of females seems to be Largely misplaced.. One study suggested that while the majority of women, some 85%, were satisfied with the size and proportion of their partner's penis, men were less sure of themselves.1 Almost half of men in the study (45%) believed they had a small penis - yet the researchers reported that small penis size was actually rare. The average penis size to be as follows: Average length for an erect penis is 14.2 cm (5.6 inches) Average circumference of an erect penis is 12.2 cm (4.8 inches). Men who want surgery to increase the length of their penis should try non-invasive methods like penile traction devices or extenders first, and in some cases, even try therapy to make them feel more confident about their bodies. There is no proven scientific method to increase size, girth or grip of penis although many false claims have been propagated by advertisements. The size is determined by an individual’s genetic build and length actually has no relation with sexual pleasure or satisfaction as many wrongly believe. Be happy with your individual qualities nature has bestowed on you. At present, there is no proof of any non-surgical technique that permanently increases either the thickness or length of a normal penis. Some general research has been done regarding the safety and efficacy (or lack thereof) of the ingredients of various pharmaceutical or quasi-pharmaceutical preparations, but thus far, nothing has emerged to cause mainstream medicine to adopt any of them. There are also risks inherent in some of the more invasive procedures, with negative outcomes ranging from the tearing of skin and scarring, to permanent loss of sexual function.

What is the AMH; it's normal concentration in male and female and it's role in in vitro fertilization?

PDDM, MHA, MBBS
General Physician, Nashik
Anti-mullerian hormone (amh) is a hormone secreted by cells in developing egg sacs (follicles). The level of amh in a woman's blood is generally a good indicator of her ovarian reserve. An amh test gives us some insight into the remaining quantity of eggs and number of fertile years you may have, but it cannot tell us much about the quality of those eggs.

Because of your age, you may be going through the effects of a spurt in the hormone testosterone as well as growth hormone. Together they can cause a lot of drowsiness and laziness. It lasts normally for two years. Due to this chemical alone, there are three identified features that present itself over which you will have poor control: you will be sexually active, aggressive and rebellious, and you will have acne and pimple problems. Then if you have unresolved childhood issues, they will compound the situation and fuel uncontrolled behavior. Please remember that you may not be aware of all this.Exercise will channelize a lot of your energy and help you to deal with the situation better. Meditation will also help. Make sure you get good sleep, a minimum of 8 hours and do not exceed 9 hours. You will need social acceptance especially from your friends. If you are not faring well in that area, then at least develop one or two close friends with whom you can share feelings and other matters. The social acceptance includes having a girlfriend but do not get too close as in a romantic relationship now – you will get easily drawn in with the hormones not yet fully settled down. Talk to a counselor, if there are unresolved childhood issues.

Hello sir I have a problem of preejaculation. I couldn't stand-up more than one minute and also erection problem. I feel weakness every time. I did many times masturbations. Please suggest me any solution.

MD - Psychiatry
Psychiatrist, Chennai
Masturbation is not the reason for PE. Premature ejaculation is uncontrolled ejaculation either before or shortly after sexual penetration. It happens with minimal sexual stimulation and before the person wishes. It may result in unsatisfactory sex for both partners. This can increase the anxiety that may add to the problem. It is one of the most common forms of male sexual dysfunction. It has probably affected every man at some point in his life. Most cases of premature ejaculation do not have a clear cause. With sexual experience and age, men often learn to delay orgasm. Psychological factors such as anxiety, guilt, or depression can also cause it. In some cases, it may be related to a medical cause such as hormonal problems, injury, or a side effect of certain medicines. Consult a psychiatrist Your doctor will discuss your medical and sexual history with you. He or she will do a thorough physical exam. Your doctor may want to talk to your partner also. Premature ejaculation can have many causes. So your doctor may order lab tests to rule out any other medical problem. In many cases premature ejaculation gets better on its own over time. Treatment may not be needed. Practicing relaxation techniques or using distraction methods may help you delay ejaculation. Your doctor may recommend that you and your partner practice certain techniques to help delay ejaculation, as well as medications are there to help. All the best.

Dear Doc. My sister acts younger than her age but really studies well. Parents are not in her support n she feels out of the family. Also, she has a very poor self confidence n does not speak to her own people but talks in the crowd boldly. She gets nightmares of a very bad experience. Kindly help save my sis who is in 10th std now She has a lot of pressure n her anger may also be life-taking. Kindly do a needful psychology to help her.

Reparenting Technique, BA, BEd
Psychologist, Bangalore
I think you must take her to a counselor soon. This is actually a transition phase when she is moving over from childhood to adulthood: sometimes she will feel and want to be treated like an adult, and at other times she will feel and act like a little child. She will also think that she knows what she is doing but that is an immature bluff. Still do not disagree with her outright. Let her feel that he is right but discuss the plans and decisions as though you will be going along with it but very artfully bring it back to some rationality yet make it appear that it was her decision and that it was after all right! She may be having a spurt in the production of the male sex hormone, testosterone, which fortunately has a duration of two years, only. Due to this chemical alone there are three identified features that present itself over which she has no control: she will be sexually active, aggressive and rebellious, and she will have acne and pimple problems. Then if she has unresolved childhood issues (which I suspect), they will compound the situation and fuel her uncontrolled behavior. Please remember that she herself may not be aware of all this. In her case, she is manifesting a lot of anger: do you know of any reason from her childhood that may have contributed to unresolved anger? Go to a counselor and discuss these matters over and get support to take care of her. Now what else can you do? The parents need to become her best friends i.e. you must always ally with her and find the path of least resistance, without displaying any weakness. Communication must always be open and favorable. The moment she hides things and does not communicate with you or you withdraw it, there is serious danger. So the parents must make her feel wanted and loved and must never reject or neglect her. Avoid all types of confrontations and discus your concerns with her, openly. Never give her anything without there being some negotiations – barter with her; you give her something in return for some compliance from her. There has to be some ground rules and established boundaries in your house. Let it appear like it is her choice to comply. You have to be strong and firm in some matters. Don’t make decisions for her: offer alternatives that help her make responsible choices. I recommend that you take her for career counseling and determine her aptitude for academic pursuits. There is no harm to tell her that you are afraid as to what is going to happen to her, and afraid that you cannot handle her. This is a fact and so there is no shame in being that open to her. Remember that she is seeking attention by these means. Do not deprive her of it. In fact listen to her arguments, and see where she is coming from and get into that frame of reference to understand her. She may be frustrated with you, if you insist in having it your way, when the world is undergoing rapid changes every day. Try to understand her. Both parents must be on the same page and not argue about her in her presence. Let her know that she is dealing with a united front and that she cannot play games pitching one parent against another. But she must always feel love and acceptance. Two years will fly in a jiffy, and she will settle down very amicably. The way you deal with her, you could either escalate the situation, because you think and know that you are older and stronger; or you could facilitate a youngster to tide over this situation with great resolve and character formation, by being her best friend during this period of strife and turmoil.
