Dengue Fever - 6 Ways You Can Protect Yourself!

Dengue fever is a disease caused by mosquitoes which mostly occurs in tropical climates. Dengue hemorrhagic fever is a type of dengue fever that may lead to decrease in blood pressure and severe bleeding. Dengue may lead to death if the symptoms of this disease are not treated at the right time. The symptoms of this disease are high fever, muscle ache, pain in the eyes, pain in the abdomen and nausea. It may also lead to respiratory problems such as breathing difficulties. Presence of blood in the stool and blood spots around the skin are some other symptoms of dengue.

The symptoms of this disease start after 5 - 9 days after being bitten by the mosquito. The disease usually lasts about 7-8 days. In case the symptoms worsen, the disease may become life threatening. 

The various methods you can employ to protect yourself from dengue are:

  1. Maintain cleanliness around your surroundings: Make sure you keep your surroundings clean so that mosquito infestations do not occur. Keep your surroundings clean and dry as mosquitoes thrive in moist and humid surroundings.
  2. Mosquito repellents: Spray mosquito repellents to keep your home free from mosquitoes. Spray them keeping the room locked to make it more effective. There are multiple types of repellents available such as liquid or gas repellents.
  3. Clothes: You should preferably wear full sleeved clothes so that your skin is not exposed. It provides additional protection from mosquito bites.
  4. Mosquito nets: Use mosquito nets to protect yourself from mosquitoes when you go to sleep at night. They also provide protection from other insects that may cause infections. 
  5. Don't store waste: Don't store your waste products for long durations as they may turn into a breeding ground for mosquitoes. Clean it regularly and make sure to keep the area dry.
  6. Using natural remedies: You may use natural remedies such as burning camphor as it repels mosquitoes. Take camphor and burn it for 20 minutes in a closed room to get rid of the mosquitoes.

Hello, Few lifestyle changes can help you in controlling and preventing the high blood pressure, even if you're taking blood pressure medication. Eat healthy foods. Consume more fruits, vegetables, whole grains, poultry, fish and low-fat dairy foods. Eat less saturated fat and trans fat. Decrease the salt in your diet. So, avoid eating processed foods, such as canned soups or frozen dinners which contains extra salt in it. Keeping a healthy weight, or losing weight if you're overweight or obese, can help you control your high blood pressure and lower your risk of related health problems. Increase physical activity which can help lowering your blood pressure, manage stress, reduce your risk of several health problems. Get indulged in regular exercising (if your doctor allows you). Limit alcohol. Even if you're healthy, alcohol can raise your blood pressure. If you choose to drink alcohol, do so in moderation. Don't smoke. Tobacco injures blood vessel walls and speeds up the process of hardening of the arteries. Reduce stress as much as possible. Practice healthy coping techniques, such as muscle relaxation, deep breathing or meditation. Getting regular physical activity and plenty of sleep can help, too. Monitor your blood pressure at home. Hi doctor, I am 25 year old, genetically my face and body skin is fair and clean, when I was in 12th standard I was thin, so I took sustanon 250 steroid which was suggest by doctor, during steroid cycle days my skin became pink and radish, but after few year I experienced my face start becoming dark. Hello, you can take homoeopathic medicine berberis aquifolium 30 (4 drops in little water) twice a day for 15 days and revert. *clean your skin gently with a mild face wash removing all dirt or make-up. Wash many times a day with plain water. *get an adequate amount of sleep. *avoid touching your face with your hands or try to squeeze pimples, it may leave permanent scars and spread the infection. *ensure that you drink10-12 glasses of water daily. *avoid fried and spicy food. *include fruits, raw vegetables and fresh vegetable juices in your diet. *avoid stress and anger. *avoid harsh skin products.

Humans are not born with perfect bodies. Most gain or lose more weight than they intended. Some people feel full even after only eating half of the food on their plates. You can't gain weight if you don't have more healthy food inside of you. Eating more healthy food is essential to gaining weight. You cannot achieve your ideal weight by eating little. Here are some tips on how you can eat more food without feeling full: eat slowly some people chew and swallow their way into their plate in just minutes. You need to take it slow since eating faster will only make you feel fuller right away. Eating fast also causes you to overeat. Eat gluten-free food for weight watchers gluten is a kind of protein usually found in some grains, cereals and wheat. In food production, gluten is added to keep the elasticity of food, making bread more chewable. The presence of gluten also keeps other types of food from having a doughy texture. If you choose to be on a gluten-free diet, you will be actually keeping unhealthy food away from your body. Being on a gluten-free diet means steering clear of sugary sweet desserts and fried food. Processed food also contains gluten including artificial flavoring. Eliminating processed food from your diet will let you focus more on protein-rich food to help you gain weight. A gluten-free diet means eating more fruits and vegetables. These are non-starchy foods so eating them will take you a longer time to get full. Gluten-free grains are usually low in fiber. You can also eat more without feeling so full afterwards. Eating eating frequent small meals a day keeps you from overeating. In order to put more meat into a skinny frame, you need to eat as much food as you can the healthy way. You can't do this if you feel full right away. Not only is this good for keeping your heart healthy, exercising also lets you enjoy more food during a meal. An intense workout will stimulate your appetite for food since the body loses energy during exercise. If you are trying to gain weight, this is the time to eat calorie-dense foods. You'll be packing away the calories in no time. Avoid eating mashed potatoes mashed potatoes are fatty foods. The more fat is in the food, the longer time it will take to break it down and prepare it for digestion. If the breakdown of food inside your stomach is slow, the faster you will run out of space for more food. If you still want to eat more servings of food, it's better to avoid the fattiest food on your plate. Save drinks for last some people believe in drinking a glass of water in between courses to clamp down on food in your stomach. You should know this is only a myth. Drinking water or any kind of beverage during a meal will only make you feel fuller. You can actually feel full just by drinking liquids and eating a little amount of food. These are the causes of white hair: • Stress • Due to medicines • Due to malnutrition • Use of chemical products • Due to pollution For prevention from whitening of hairs follow these instructions: • Do not take stress and take proper sleep of 6 - 7 hours. Do meditation or long breathing pranayams for 10 minutes daily to destress yourself. • You can apply amla powder, Make the paste of amla powder with water and apply it for 15 minutes once in week in afternoon and rinse it. • Avoid use of excess hair products such as hair colours and try to use mild shampoo. • Add protein containing items in your foods such as take a bowl of cereal daily, and a glass of milk also. You can eat cheese or soya protein. • Eat healthy fruits and green leafy vegetables daily. • you can use mahabhringraj oil and apply it 3 times in a week massage your scalp for 10 to 15 minutes daily. You can massage daily with oil it increase blood circulation and prevent hair from greying. • Avoid the use of products such as hair colours or excessive shampoo. •In a bowl, mix two eggs, honey and some coconut oil. You can also use olive oil instead of coconut oil. Apply it on your scalp and leave it for 20 minutes, then rinse with a mild shampoo. • Practice SARVANGASAN and BHRAMARI PRANAYAM daily for atleast 3-4 months.
