Hello doctor! My parents are diabetic. How can I try my best to stop it in coming me in near future. I eat very less or almost no to rice, potato and drink tea without sugar. Thanks.

Hello doctor! My parents are diabetic. How can I try my best to stop it in coming me in near future. I eat very less ...
Merely because your parents have diabetes you need not restrict eating sugar or carbohydrates unless you too have got Diabetes. It is for diabetics that we need to restrict sugars because their system is unable to transport the blood glucose in to the cell. A non diabetic person is capable of transporting his/her glucose in to the cell so there is no problem One should ensure that the quantity of carbohydrates (Sugar) is not more than desired calorie demand to be generated from carbohydrates else the excess gets converted in to fats and causes obesity, which predisposes for diabetes in years after middle age. That is because increased body weight means more tissue, means more requirement of insulin to transport glucose, and the pancreas even if supplying normal quantity of insulin may not do so in such increased demand situations. So eat moderately, keep burning your fat by regular exercises and live healthily.

Laser hair reduction is totally safe and you can get it done whenever you are comfortable and ready. Side effects are very less, almost negligible if you get it done from a trained person and under the supervision of a dermatologist or cosmetologist. Go for a patch test first and see how you feel and den decide.

Hi v. R. Having heavy bleeding at 53 years of age is not a good sign. It indicated a hormonal disturbance or some growth. Please do not ignore this and get her evaluated properly by a gynaecologist in your area. Avoid using any hormonal preparations to delay the periods without medical supervision. All the best.

Hair Transplant: Getting the Best With FUE Technique

Hair Transplant: Getting the Best With FUE Technique

Losing hair can be a nightmare for any man or woman. Once upon a time, hair loss was restricted to elderly people, but today, men and women as young as 30 find themselves going bald as a result of an unhealthy lifestyle, exposure to pollutants etc. Thankfully, modern medicine has found ways of correcting hair loss through hair transplant surgeries. A follicular unit extraction (FUE) is one such type of hair transplant procedure.

This is a minimally invasive procedure that involves the extraction of hair follicles from the back of the head with a special micro punch. To do this, the hair at the back of your head is first shaved down to 1 to 2 mm in length. Local anesthesia is then applied and the scalp is scored to loosen the hair follicles. Each follicle is then extracted carefully and preserved in saline until it can be implanted into the bald part of your head.

Since each follicle is being individually extracted, it is crucial to work with an experienced surgeon. It doesn't hurt to ask to see a doctor's certificates. Before committing to surgery, ask to see before and after photographs of their earlier clients and ensure that both of you have the same aesthetic sense.

Along with the surgeon's expertise, the size of the micro punch needles also play an important role in getting the best results for a follicular unit extraction. The smaller the needle used, the less damage caused to the scalp. This also minimizes the visibility of the extraction. Ideally, a needle should be no wider than 0.95mm.

Grafts extracted via FUE are much more sensitive than those extracted via strip extraction. This is because the extraction technique leaves hair follicles without a lot of protective tissue. How the follicles are handled after extraction influences their survival rate. As these are very vulnerable to dehydration, they must always be kept damp and handled with care.

The incisions made to implant the hair follicles also play a role in determining their lifespan. The best incisions are those made by blades that have been customized to match the length, width, depth and angle of incision to be made. By matching the dimensions and angle of the incision to the direction of a patient's natural hair growth, the grafts have a higher chance of connecting to blood vessels and nerves. This also ensures that the transplant looks as close to natural as possible.

Hello, You shouldn't have taken the second ipill. Now if the flow is less then just try to tide over it naturally. It is not normal though, the continued bleed is due to second ipill.

She is suffering from Gum problem. Doctor has told her to remover the molars and the front teeth. Is there any way to...
Hi lybrate-user The details you have provided seem to indicate somewhat advanced gum disease. Whether the affected teeth can be preserved or not can only be assessed with a clinical assessment supplemented with radiographs. If you have consulted a dentist and extractions have been advised, there is reason to believe that they would have done so after due condsideration. As for improvement of oral health from now on, get a thorough cleaning done. You might be advised further gum treatment based upon the actual situation; get that done as well. Make it a point to see your dentist regularly and get the necessary dental treatment completed. At the same time, discuss home oral hygiene measures with your dentist and follow their advise. As for artificial teeth, several options are available to most patients. Discuss them with your dentist and select the one you find the most feasible and it should be fine. Hope this helps.

You are overweight for your age. Reduce your weight by doing exercises. Take fresh fruits or drink fresh juices. It gives you enough energy. Avoid eating junk foods. While studying, don't study continuously for 6-7 hours. Study for 45-50 minutes, give break for 10 mins and then study for another 45 mins. Sit in a comfortable rooms where there is enough light and air. Read, Recollect and rewrite. Manage your time. Put a time table and read accordingly.

12 Ways You Can Love Yourself Now

Master of Science in Counselling and Family Therapy (pursuing), BPTh/BPT, zumba fitness - sports nurtionist
Physiotherapist, Delhi
12 Ways You Can Love Yourself Now

Are you wondering how to love yourself? I have found that there is only one thing that heals every problem, and that is: truly loving yourself. When people start to love themselves more each day, it's amazing how their lives get better. They feel better. They get the jobs they want. They have the money they need. Their relationships either improve, or the negative ones dissolve and new ones begin.

Loving yourself is a wonderful adventure; it's like learning to fly. Imagine if we all had the power to fly at will? How exciting it would be! Let's begin to love ourselves now.

Here are 12 Commandments to help you learn how to love yourself:

1. Stop All Criticism

Criticism never changes a thing. Refuse to criticize yourself. Accept yourself exactly as you are. Everybody changes. When you criticize yourself, your changes are negative. When you approve of yourself, your changes are positive.

2. Forgive Yourself

Let the past go. You did the best you could at the time with the understanding, awareness, and knowledge that you had. Now you are growing and changing, and you will live life differently.

3. Don't Scare Yourself

Stop terrorizing yourself with your thoughts. It's a dreadful way to live. Find a mental image that gives you pleasure, and immediately switch your scary thought to a pleasure thought.

4. Be Gentle and Kind and Patient

Be gentle with yourself. Be kind to yourself. Be patient with yourself as you learn the new ways of thinking. Treat yourself as you would someone you really loved.

5. Be Kind to Your Mind

Self-hatred is only hating your own thoughts. Don't hate yourself for having the thoughts. Gently change your thoughts.

6. Praise Yourself

Criticism breaks down the inner spirit. Praise builds it up. Praise yourself as much as you can. Tell yourself how well you are doing with every little thing.

7. Support Yourself

Find ways to support yourself. Reach out to friends and allow them to help you. It is being strong to ask for help when you need it.

8. Be Loving to Your Negatives

Acknowledge that you created them to fulfill a need. Now you are finding new, positive ways to fulfill those needs. So lovingly release the old negative patterns.

9. Take Care of Your Body

Learn about nutrition. What kind of fuel does your body need in order to have optimum energy and vitality? Learn about exercise. What kind of exercise do you enjoy? Cherish and revere the temple you live in.

10. Do Mirror Work

Look into your eyes often. Express this growing sense of love you have for yourself. Forgive yourself while looking into the mirror. Talk to your parents while looking into the mirror. Forgive them, too. At least once a day, say, I love you, I really love you!

11. Love Yourself . . . Do It Now

Don't wait until you get well, or lose the weight, or get the new job, or find the new relationship. Begin now - and do the best you can.

12. Have Fun

Remember the things that gave you joy as a child. Incorporate them into your life now. Find a way to have fun with everything you do. Let yourself express the joy of living. Smile. Laugh. Rejoice, and the Universe rejoices with you!

I am 20 years old girl. I have pores marks on my cheek how to get rid of it by using home remedies.
You are a victim of acne vulgaris and it's sequelae like most people your age. It's a very common problem with a lot of solutions. These acne pimples if broken leave really dark marks. So steer clear from them. Don't pick at them. Avoid cosmetics and over the counter face products. Overwashing won't remove pimples or spots. You need to use cold water and wash face with a salicylic acid containing wash twice a day and not more. It vil help reduce the oiliness to a large degree. Avoid milk and milk products, you can have them occasionally. Instead, you can have tea or coffee. Do not stress over your problem its treatable. Stress vil only increase chances of more pimples. Exercise. Use a face pack of orange pulp, honey and curd. Wash it off in ten minutes. The vitamin c in orange strengthens collagen and tightens pores. Thereby giving a smoother, younger, glowing face.

What time to take diabetes medicine in the day? Is diabetics totally cure by medicine?
Hello, time should be given by the doctor, based on the tablet and your health condition. No, diabetics is just controlled by medicine, that is the reason, doctors suggest life long medication. But if you have proper nutritional values in your diet along with medication, slowly your sugar levels will come down, then doctor minimize the dosage, and slowly you can completely cure from diabetes.
