Reduce salt in take. Go for a walk for at least 40 minutes. Take your medicine regularly. Never miss it unless your Doctor ask you to do so. Do Kapla bhath and anulom vilom prarnayam for 10 minutes each.

I am hypertensive.My bp goes up to 150/90 if i forget to take medicine.How to keep control on bp & keep it below 130/80

You must be under stress to have BP and to some extent diabetes so early in life (I don't know how long you have had these problems, though). You should meet with a counselor and talk about your feelings and things that are causing you stress. In the meantime do some of these recommendations very faithfully if it meets your approved diet plans too: Daily exercise of at least half an hour is a must. Even if you go to a gym, ask for aerobic and/or callisthenic exercises with whatever else you are doing. A healthy body harbors a healthy mind. With regard to memory, it is very important that your brain and body is ideally rested to be able to recall whatever is required, rather comfortably. Puzzles pose problems to the brain that help it to use new pathways and neurons, which give the brain considerable exercise. It taxes the left brain to use logic to solve the myriad possibilities which other activities do not stimulate. Crosswords are excellent for vocabulary learning and use. Jigsaws and Rubik cube stimulate different permutations to finally settle on the most likely one. Picture completion and anagrams help approach problem-solving from several angles. Do Sudoku, and memory co-relation activities and skills. Have a good night’s sleep, have a good breakfast of more proteins, meditate often, remain free of stress, eat a lot of fiber (whole grains, fruits and vegetables), nuts, avocado, eat dark chocolate, consume less of fat and use olive oil instead, do Yoga meditation exercises, etc. You need to check out if you are stronger visual or auditory. The visual is a better mode than the auditory. However, if you combine the two modes, you will get the best concentration. Short-term memory is a faculty of the left brain, and long-term memory is a feature of the right brain. When people are stressed, they tend to favor the right brain and abandon the left brain, where short-term memory resides. So, it is really very simple: deal with the stress and activate left brain functions. Here are a few suggestions to activate left brain function: shut your left nostril and breathe, move your eyes from right to left and vice versa for at least half a minute at a time, and do callisthenic exercises with some form of counting, regularly. There is a new exercise called Super Brain Yoga, which is done by holding the right earlobe with your left thumb and index finger, and the left earlobe with your right hand’s thumb and index finger. In this position, you must squat down and rise up and do this for five minutes every day. If your home life is full of distractions and stress, it is likely to affect your memory, adversely. In that case, I suggest that the family goes for counseling too. The following foods do help too: Blueberries, walnuts, turmeric, Spinach, tomatoes, broccoli, acorn squash, green tea, oily fish, boiled egg, turkey, apples, oatmeal, leafy greens, lentils, pumpkin seeds, avocado, cinnamon, thyme, sunflower seeds, and red wine. Avoid sugar and junk food. You may also include these noted foods that are good for your brain health: Brain-Friendly Foods MIND stands for Mediterranean-DASH Intervention for Neurodegenerative Delay. But the MIND approach “specifically includes foods and nutrients that medical literature and data show to be good for the brain, such as berries,” says Martha Clare Morris, ScD, director of nutrition and nutritional epidemiology at Rush University Medical Center. You eat things from these 10 food groups: •Green leafy vegetables (like spinach and salad greens): At least six servings a week •Other vegetables: At least one a day •Nuts: Five servings a week •Berries: Two or more servings a week •Beans: At least three servings a week •Whole grains: Three or more servings a day •Fish: Once a week •Poultry (like chicken or turkey): Two times a week •Olive oil: Use it as your main cooking oil. •Wine: One glass a day You avoid: •Red meat: Less than four servings a week •Butter and margarine: Less than a tablespoon daily •Cheese: Less than one serving a week •Pastries and sweets: Less than five servings a week •Fried or fast food: Less than one serving a week.

My heartbeat always beat fast and I always thinking about my heart. I think I have a weak heart. What is the solution for this problem. And I had a bad experience 4 year ago my friends took me to hospital because I smoked weed due to overdose my heart beats fast. When doctor checked in ecg its 120-140. So this thing changed my life. Hello dear High triglycerides and cholesterol can cause atherosclerotic heart disease or narrowed coronary arteries in the heart can cause the symptoms of angina, when theheart muscle is not provided with enough oxygen to function. Decreased blood supply to the brain may be due to narrowed small arteries in the brain or because the larger carotidarteries in the neck may become blocked. This can result in a transient ischmic attack or stroke. Peripheral artery disease describes gradual narrowing of the arteries that supply the legs. During exercise , if the legs do not get enough blood supply, they can develop pain , called claudication . Other arteries in the body may also be affected by plaque buildup causing them to narrow, including the mesenteric arteries to the intestine and the renal arteries to the kidney. Change life style .do meditation,yoga, Go walk daily, do any one physically activity daily i.e.play any game., Avoid fast foods,oily foods,junk foods,alcohol,smoking,fatty foods, non-veg.,avoid stress,take plenty of water in day time. And 1 glass of water before bed at night. use flax oil, omega-3 fatty meal or cap., take .green veg., whole grain. Garlic,. Cod liver oil. Take anti cholesterol medicines . Cap. Ecosprin gold-10 at night daily.

Heart Attack - 3 Ways You Can Prevent it

A heart attack is usually characterised by the rupture of a plaque which can cause the spread of the cholesterol into the blood stream.
Cardiovascular diseases are a major cause of pain, suffering and death around the world, today. Heart attacks are caused by coronary heart disease. This is caused by the narrowing of the coronary artery when substances like cholesterol block it. If not treated and revived on time, a patient suffering from a heart attack can meet a fatal result.

So how can you prevent a heart attack?

  1. Cholesterol: We are all affected to some extent by what we eat. It is important to keep a check on your cholesterol, especially if it is on the higher side, so as to prevent a heart attack. Cholesterol is known to directly cause a heart attack, because if applies layer upon layer to the walls of the artery, and chokes them until they cannot handle the pressure any longer. So watch your food intake and bring down the blood lipid or fat levels with proper diet and exercise to alleviate the risk of a heart attack.
  2. Assess your Risk Factors: So are you at risk of heart disease and possible heart attack? This will very much depend on your medical history and allied ailments. If you are suffering from high cholesterol or even diabetes, your chances of having clogged arteries and a subsequent heart attack may increase manifold. Also, you may have a family history of heart diseases which can increase the risk of such ailments in your case. So, it is wise to assess your risk factors and take measures like regular checkups, medication where required and even other measures like diet and exercise.
  3. Blood Pressure: To prevent a heart attack, you can also keep your blood pressure in check. Constant spikes and dips can lead to a malfunctioning heart which can weaken the heart muscles and lead to a fatal result like a heart attack. Further, high blood pressure can lead to wear and tear of the inner lining of your blood vessels, which makes it that much more difficult for blood flow and circulation. So keep a blood pressure measuring machine or cuff at home, or visit your doctor regularly to keep tabs on your blood pressure.

While these basic measures can help take care of the immediate and most direct causes of heart attacks, you can also avoid passive and active smoking, and indulge in a good diet with plenty of exercise to keep your heart healthy.

Your lifestyle should be modified to low fat & salt diet and exercises and you need to take antidiabetic and antihypertensive medication.

It may be due acidity and gas problem. Use can try some home treatment for that:- apple cider vinegar though acidic in nature, apple cider vinegar has an alkalizing effect. Thus, it helps treat stomach acidity. Simply mix one or two teaspoons of raw, unfiltered apple cider vinegar in a cup of water. Drink it once or twice a day. You can also drink it before meals cumin seeds can also be used to treat acidity as cumin works as a great acid neutralizer. Also, it aids in digestion and relieves stomach pain. Slightly crush some roasted cumin seeds and stir it into a glass of water. Drink it after every meal. You can also boil one teaspoon of cumin seeds in a cup of water, strain it and then drink the water after your meal. Another option is to mix one teaspoon each of coriander seed powder, cumin seed powder, fennel seed powder and some sugar in one-half cup of water. Drink it on an empty stomach basil leaves the soothing and carminative properties of basil leaves can give you instant relief from acidity, gas and nausea. If further problem will continue then need to consult doctor.

Hello Doctor, I'm 46 year old male teetotaller, under medication for hypertension. Basically I'm very vulnerable person particularly about my health issues. Last year I had panic attack and undergone all tests including echo. All seems to me normal and my physician advised to continue with same medication, ie. Tab Lodoz 2.5 mg twice daily. I'm suffering from Hemorrhoid for last 10 years and controlling the same with my life style changes and food habit. However I'm suffering from GERD as well, may be because of this. With empty stomach, in the morning I used to walk almost 90 minutes daily without any difficulty. However recently I'm experiencing shortness of breath, palpitation and feeling some blockage in the throat while climbing steps and gradients, after taking food. Is this because of GERD? Kindly advise.

From some few month I feel so lonely when I want to do anything my mind gets depressed and my head shakes. My heart beat rises head shakes like heart beat I always feel that I am having any kind of disorder so I can't do anything. I am a university going student 22 years old but behave like old man and something goes wrong with me, this situation disappointing me frim the real me and connecting me with some unfamiliar behavior. My family members were suggest me to consult with a Psychiatrist and I did too. Dr. Suggested me to take two kind of tab: Tab paxidep at noon after meal with antacid and Tab Lonapam at night before the dinner. But I don't thing that any kind of changes have come after having the tabs. What should I do now please Sir/Mam help me out of this state of illness.
