I am 62 years old suffering from psoriasis for 16 years. Used alll forms of medicine (home, allopathy,unani, ayurveda etc. Suggest any latest remedy.

Do contrast bath therapy Take hot water in one tub & cold water in another. First dip your hands upto wrist in hot water for 3 min then immediately in cold water for 1 min, keep repeating for 20 min, twice daily Take rest breaks of 5-10 min in between work Do hand stretches If pain still persists apply pain relieving gel & wrap crepe bandage.

I am having fever from three days and it's not coming down. What can I do Doctor to let my fever come down?

Hello, follow health advises given below: measure your temperature and tell me reading 1. Avoid exertion 2. Take tablet paracetamol 500 mg after food (If No Drug Allergy) as and when required for fever more than 99 f (maximum 3 tablets with gap of 8 hr can be taken in a day) for 3 days 3. Lot of fluids to be taken 4. Take proper diet homemade food like moong dal dalia, chapati etc. 4. Avoid wearing synthetic and tight cloths. go for CBC test and consult physician for further management and let me know what medicines you were taking and also tell me if you are having other symptoms like cough/ throat pain/ burning urine/ stomach pain so that we can confirm cause of fever.

Take 5 healthy meals ( 3 main meals+ 2 snacks) . Take , Soaked Sunflower seeds (15 gm) early morning prior breakfast. Take Trikatu Churna ( can get online or from any good Ayurvaidic Medical store) 1/2 tea spoon prior Breakfast and dinner and 1/2 trifla churna after 1/2 hour of Breakfast and dinner.

Hye,  Thanks for the query. There’s no overnight fix when it comes to healthy weight loss, but you can adjust your lifestyle to promote quick, natural weight loss for the benefit of your health and your appearance. Successful, long-term weight management needs to focus on more than the food you eat and the pounds you lose. It needs to focus on your overall health. Reshape your body and your lifestyle by adopting healthy habits and breaking unhealthy ones. Replace all processed foods in your diet with vegetables, fruits, whole grains, low-fat dairy, lean meats, eggs, legumes, nuts, seeds and seafood. Focus on the variety of whole, unprocessed foods you can eat instead of dwelling on the junk food you eliminated from your diet. Eat smaller portions at every meal and avoid going back for seconds. Take a smaller scoop of rice,  half of a piece of chicken instead of a whole piece and one less egg in your morning omelet, for example. Make time for breakfast every morning. Eating breakfast helps prevent overeating and is a habit of people who successfully lose weight. Pack to-go meals instead of eating convenience foods when you’re not home. Store foods like chopped fruits and vegetables or cooked grains, legumes, eggs and meats in your refrigerator so you always have something to grab when you’re in a rush. Buy fresh vegetables and fruits from the grocery store if you forget to bring healthful food from home. When you can’t avoid dining at a restaurant, opt for a salad as a starter, and always ask for the dressing on the side. Clear soups, lean meats, seafood and grain-based dishes like roti, whole grain bread are other good choices. Exercise for 30 to 60 minutes at least three times per week to build muscle and burn more calories. Pilates, strength training, aerobics, swimming, dancing and yoga or a sport like football are ideal choices. If you’re new to exercising, start with brisk walking and jogging. Adopt physically demanding hobbies like bicycling, hiking, jogging, power walking to promote faster weight loss. If you don’t have time for new hobbies, increase your physical activity with things like walking the dog, playing with the kids or jogging instead of driving to a nearby store or taking the stairs instead of the elevator. Weigh yourself weekly and record your weight. Adjust your diet and physical activity according to the progress you’re making.

Sometimes I have so much pain in my stomach that is uncontrollable. Please advise.

There are a various causes for stomach problems, treatment depends on the location, severity and type of pain. Laboratory tests such as the complete blood count (cbc), liver enzymes, pancreatic enzymes (amylase and lipase), urinalysis are frequently performed in the evaluation of abdominal pain. If you have h. Pylori infection for which I can prescribe a 14 day treatment plan which will eliminate it. Untreated infection causes ulcers in stomach and may finally lead to cancer. If your pain is occurring once in a year and not regular then such types of pain could be amoebic infection, worm infestation or premenstrual cramps. If pain is occurring frequently then get ultrasound abdomen done. Being also a general physician and registered dietitian, I prescribe both evidence based herbal as well as allopathic medicines complementing with dietary guidelines and home remedies carefully personalized for each individual patient.

How to remove pimple and dark spot from my face for ever? I am using face wash of oriflame scrub facewash?

For pimples-faceclin gel for application twice daily over affected area. For marks -demelan cream /photoscreen depigment cream for application once weekly at night (very little on marks only). Rejuglow face wash /episoft oc cleanser/saslic ds wash. Tab-limcee 500mg once daily for one month/tab-ascazin twice daily for one month. Chemical peels to clear face & spots.

Am a diabetic and under medication. My blood sugar fasting is 111 and post lunch is 187. Please advice the reasons for too much spiking.

Mr. lybrate-user, Fasting glucose is fairly good. PP is a bit high. There is no spiking. Changes in blood glucose levels can happen quite often, because it depends on ones daily food intake. Even if there is a slight extra intake, glucose level that day can be high. Best way to to check whether control is good or not is to check HbA1c%, which should be <7, for good control. Thanks.

Hi lybrate-user, pcod is not curable. Your periods will be irregular without medication. The only concern will be fertility issues. White discharge is not due to pcod it could be because of infection.
