I am 36 years old and my wife is 28 years old we have a child 5 years old suffering from sickle cell anemia. I am suffering from mild thalassemia and my wife is a carrier of sickle cell trait. In this situation if it is good to plan for second baby, suggest me. And what is the possibility of his health? Is he or she may born with this disease (sickle cell anemia). We both worry about the situation. Please suggest me?

Hello lybrate-user, it will not be a good idea to have a second child. The chances that the child will either have sickle cell anemia or thalessemia is 50-50. Specially since you are a thalassemia minor and if the child gets it, it will be harmful for the child.

Maintain input out put ratio. Whatever you eat calculate calories that called input calories after that do exercise and burn some calories that is out put calories. Eat less exercise more weight will loos have a barley soup at dinner have a dinner at 8.00pm and sleep at 10---11.00pm. Avoid rice at night. Calories calculator you will get on google download it.

Dear, These are the causes of pimples: • excessive sebum production (sebum is oily secretion from the gland). • Due to hormonal imbalance. These are the methods & instructions to avoid pimples: • To control the sebum secretion you should maintain your hormonal level. Because imbalance in hormone level causes excessive sebum production and causes acne. So do not take stress and do exercise daily such as running, jogging and long breathing exercises. • Use oil free face wash and drink 7 -8 glass of water daily. • Do not touch your pimple because your finger transfer bacteria to it and make it worse. If you touch it then clean your face with water. * Take cucumber and papaya pulp. Mix it well and add 1 tablespoon Turmeric. Make a paste and apply it on face and leave it for 15 minutes. • Use a face pack of fuller's earth (multani mitti) with rose water one time in a day for seven days. It removes toxins from skin. * Take 2 teaspoon of RAKTASHODAK SYRUP of BAIDYANATH company once a day. • Steam your face to open the pores, which in turn clear the skin. Steam your face for a couple of minutes. • use a mild moisturiser for your skin.

Take moderate carbohydrate, moderate protein, low fat diet. Take a cup of green tea in the morning and evening. Avoid eating fried foods, junk foods, milk products like cheese, khoa, sugar etc. Also do not take creamed milk rather take skimmed milk. Eat less chapatis, less rice, more pulses and pulses products, fresh fruits and vegetables. Must take exercises daily.

Hi To loose weight you need to know your BMR and then understand your calorie intake and then plan your meals which should've at least 300kcal less to loose fat.

You need to be investigated for your turns. Since you are able to recall that the episodes of turns happen, it is less likely to be a genuine fit. However you try to take Clonazepam 0.5mg tds sos if you get turn. Amd get an EEG done and get supportive Psychotherapy. Also write full history and you can discuss with me through Lybrate

Quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day. Sports taping- stretch the tape from both ends and apply on the affected area contrast fomentation (hot and cold).

हमारे पूरे शरीर में पेट सबसे अहम हिस्सों में से एक है। अगर यह दुरुस्त ना हो तो शरीर का संतुलन में रह पाना असंभव है। क्योंकि पेट के ही एक्टिविटीस की बदौलत पूरे शरीर को मिलती है ऊर्जा और अन्य पोषक तत्व। पर आज का माहौल ऐसा है कि हर दूसरा व्यक्ति पेट की किसी ना किसी तकलीफ से बेहाल है और इनमें सबसे ज्यादा पेट संबन्धी समस्या में मिलते हैं एसिडिटी के मरीज। पहले तो एक उम्र गुजारने के बाद पेट की अन्य बीमारी या एसिडिटी की शिकायत होती थी पर अब समय ऐसा बिगड़ा है कि बड़े- बूढ़े, महिला-पुरूष किसीको भी एसिडिटी की समस्या सताने लगती है। इसलिए जरूरी है की हम सभी एसिडिटी होने के कारणों, लक्षण से वाकिफ हों ताकि इसका उचित इलाज कर सकें। 

दरसल हमारे पेट में बनने वाला एसिड या अम्ल उस भोजन को पचाने का काम करता है, जो हम खाते हैं, लेकिन कई बार पचाने के लिए पेट में पर्याप्त भोजन ही नहीं होता या फिर एसिड ही आवश्यक मात्रा से ज्यादा बन जाता है। ऐसे में एसिडिटी या अम्लता की समस्या हो जाती है। इसे आमतौर पर दिल की चुभन या हार्टबर्न भी कहा जाता है। वसायुक्त और मसालेदार भोजन का सेवन आमतौर पर एसिडिटी की प्रमुख वजह है। इस तरह का भोजन पचाने में मुश्किल होता है और एसिड पैदा करने वाली कोशिकाओं को जरूरत से ज्यादा एसिड बनाने के लिए उत्तेजित करता है।

एसिडिटी के कारण 

  • लगातार बाहर का भोजन करना।
  • खाना न खाना
  • ईररेगुलर खाना खाना
  • ज्यादा मसालेदार भोजन करना
  • ज्यादा स्ट्रेस लेना 
  • ज्यादा समय तक वर्क लोड रहना
  • आदि एसिडिटी के कारण हो सकते हैं।

एसिडिटी के लक्षण 

  • पेट में जलन होना
  • गले में जलन
  • खट्टी डकार आना
  • कब्ज होना
  • बेचैनी महसूस होना
  • पेट में गैस होना

ऐसी तकलीफें अगर होने लगे तो समझ जाइए की आप एसिडिटी के शिकार हो गए हैं। और जब एसिडिटी हो ही गया हो तो बिना देर के फौरन बताए गए आसान घरेलू नुस्खे आजमाएं और एसिडिटी से राहत पाएं।

1. जीरा
एक गिलास पानी में कुछ जीरे के दाने डालकर उबाल ले और ठंडा होने के बाद बाद इसे पिए। पेट में जलन एसिडिटी के इलाज  में जीरा एक अच्छा घरेलु नुस्खा है।  जीरा से एक प्रकार का सलाइवा बनता है जो पाचन प्रक्रिया को बेहतर बनाता है जिससे पेट के गैस बाहर निकलने और तेज़ाब खत्म करने में मदद मिलती है।

2. इलायची
2 इलायची के पाउडर को एक गिलास पानी में डालकर उबालें और ठंडा करके पी जाएं। 
इलायची में कई ऐसे गुण होते है जो ज्यादा एसिड बनने से रोकने के साथ खाना हजम करने की प्रक्रिया को अच्छा करता है।  पेट में होने वाला स्पाज्म को भी काम करने में मददगार है।
 
3. पानी
 सुबह उठने के तुरंत बाद पानी पिएं। इस तरह रात भर में पेट में बने आवश्यकता से अधिक एसिड और दूसरी गैर जरूरी और हानिकारक चीजों को इस पानी के जरिए शरीर से बाहर निकाल जाता है। इसलिए सुबह सबसे पहले चाय नही बल्कि खाली पेट पानी पिएं।

4. फ्रूट्स 
 फलों की खूबियों से तो हम सभी वाकिफ हैं इसलिए हम सभी को रोजाना फल खाने की आदत डालनी चाहिए। और अगर आप एसिडिटी शिक़ार हों तो केला, तरबूज, पपीता और खीरा को रोजाना के भोजन में शामिल करें। तरबूज का रस भी एसिडिटी के इलाज में बड़ा कारगर है।

5. नारियल पानी
अगर किसी को एसिडिटी की शिकायत है, तो नारियल पानी पीने से काफी आराम मिलता है। 

6. अदरक
खाने में अदरक को शामिल करें। इससे पाचन क्रिया बेहतर होती है और जलन से भी राहत मिलेगा। 

7. ठंडा दूध
बिना शक्कर के ठंडा दूध दिन में 2-3 बार पिएं। डर्सलक दूध में काफी मात्रा में कैल्शियम होता है जो एसिड बनने से रोकता है और जो पहले से मौजूद एसिड है दूध उसको अपने में ऑब्जर्व कर लेता है। जो पेट में तेज़ाब से छुटकारा दिलाता है। और जो जलन होती है उससे भी राहत मिलती है। बेहतर रिजल्टके लिए दूध में एक चमच्च देसी घी मिला लें। 

8. सब्जियां
बींस, सेम, कद्दू, बंदगोभी और गाजर जैसी सब्जियों का ज्यादा से ज्यादा सेवन करें। इससे एसिडिटी से लम्बी राहत मिलेगी।

9. लौंग
 एक लौंग अगर कुछ देर के लिए मुंह में रख ली जाए तो इससे एसिडिटी में राहत मिलती है। लौंग का रस मुंह की लार के साथ मिलकर जब पेट में पहुंचता है, तो इससे काफी आराम मिलता है।
10. तुलसी की पत्ती
जब भी  कभी आपको ये महसूस की एसिडिटी का प्रकोप बढ़ रहा है तो तुलसी की कुछ पत्तियां  चबाएं। कुछ देर में महसूस होगा कि पेट में जलन, बेचैनी कम होने लगी है। 

11. कार्बोहाइडे्रट
 कार्बोहाइडे्रट से भरपूर भोजन जैसे चावल एसिडिटी रोकने में मददगार है, क्योंकि ऐसे भोजन की वजह से पेट में एसिड की कम मात्रा बनती है। शेंग, डॉयफ्रूइट्स, फ्रूट्स, फ्रूट्स सलाद जैसी चीजें खाएं।

12. व्यायाम
नियमित व्यायाम और ध्यान की क्रियाएं पेट, पाचन तंत्र और तंत्रिका तंत्र का संतुलन बनाए रखती हैं।

एसिडिटी से बचने के लिए कुछ विशेष परहेज

  • तला भुना, वसायुक्त भोजन, ज्यादा चॉकलेट और जंक फ़ूड न खाएं।
  • शरीर का वजन बढ़ने न दें।
  • ज्यादा धूम्रपान और किसी भी तरह की मदिरा का सेवन एसिडिटी बढ़ाता है, इसलिए इनसे परहेज करें।
  • सोडा युक्त कोल्डड्रिंक व कैफीन आदि का सेवन न करें। इसकी बजाय हर्बल टी का प्रयोग करना बेहतर है। 
  • घर का बना खाना ही खाएं। 
  • जितना हो सके, बाहर के खाने से बचें।
  • दो बार के खाने में ज्यादा अंतराल रखने से भी एसिडिटी हो सकती है।
  • कम मात्रा में थोड़े-थोड़े समय अंतराल पर खाना खाते रहें।
  • अचार, मसालेदार चटनी और सिरके का प्रयोग भी न करें।
