Good evening. I am 26 female. I got married on August 30, 2015. My husband is a RCI scientist DRDO Hyderabad. My urine as well as hcg confirmed on October month 2015 while I was in Tamil nadu then I got spotting on 45 days from my last period starting date. My period is regular 30 days once. Then I checked with gynecologist she gave result as abortion. Then again Feb 2016 got pregnant same urine and hcg positive again spotting on 40 days, I went to different gynecologist in Hyderabad she recommended me to take TORCH test in that igm is negative, igg rubella and herpes simplex positive in listing then comments as negative only, Dr. gave some tablets for 5 days. Then recommended us for baby plan later. My husband has hearing problem and soft voice he can understand only lip moments due to this He is always misunderstanding me, I came to know this after marriage only due to I am islamic girl. He is doubting me for torch igg herpes positive by searching in internet but my torch comments In torch as negative. Then again April 2016 my urine test got positive result also got spotting in 40 days then went doctor she recommended hormone assay test for me that shows normal value and also torch test to my husband he is having igg rubella and cytomegalovirus as positive remaining negative, also thyroid 7.06 then doctor advised us to take medicine for torch infection for 60 days I took medicine but he refused to take and blaming me by assuming that he got cytomegalovirus from me as sexually transmitted disease. Finally he abused and left me in my mom home from past 7 months. I want to know the reason for my continuous abortion. Did Igg positive affect the baby? My husband sperm is looking like water. I felt like it came out in morning as it is. He blamed me that I can not get pregnant. Now we are separated without divorce. He didn't understand me properly. I just want to know what is the reason for the abortions. What test should I take further that I can fit for pregnancy?

I have posted reply as if I am addressing your husband to clear his and your doubts. He needs to understand that Rubella is a viral infection which occurs once in a life time. IgG against Rubella only means your wife is immune to this virus (she either had the infection in childhood or was immunized against it) and not only is it not harmful to her future pregnancies it is virtually a guarantee that she will not get this infection during her next pregnancy. Rubella is harmful if, and only if, fresh infection occurs during pregnancy (especially early pregnancy) and since your wife already has positive IgG titres against rubella she cannot get this infection now. Therefore she will have no problems in subsequent pregnancies because of rubella. Similarly CMV is also a viral infections and positive IgG titres are common in India as a result of infection in early life. Again, if IgG is positive you do not need to worry. Theoretically CMV can get reactivated in exceptional cases during pregnancy but it is so rare that you do not need to worry about it. Unless your wife is on long term steroids (during pregnancy) she does not have to be worried on that account either. Both Rubella and CMV IgG antibodies will be positive for years on end (practically all her life) so repeated titres are a waste of time and money. You should therefore stop getting these tests done again and again. Both rubella and CMV can be harmful to individual pregnancy as indeed any viral infection but have no role to play in recurrent infections! so you do not need to worry about them anymore. Most cases of two consecutive abortions are random events in nature and only an expression of reproductive waste. Reproductive wastage is inherent in the process of reproduction as nearly 70% embryos conceived are abnormal and they result in early abortions. In great majority of cases no cause is found so investigations after two abortions are not required. If your wife is healthy otherwise and has no chronic illness like diabetes, hypertension and renal disease, she does not need more tests. All the tests you have got done do not cause early abortions but now that you have got them done and they are normal you should stop worrying about that as well. No further tests are required as they will not contribute to her treatment or improve her chances of having a normal pregnancy. Please have faith in nature and go ahead with the next pregnancy as soon as possible. She does not fit into the definition of recurrent abortion (which is three consecutive abortions) b Povidone iodine pessaries are often prescribed but have little effect. In fact in women who are allergic to it, this itself may be a cause for recurrent vaginal infection. Please get a wet smear made of vaginal discharge, and treat according to the diagnosis. Occasional irregular periods are common but if they occur more commonly (more than three consecutive abnormal periods she would need medical evaluation to find the cause of such irregularity. I wish you all the best. If you have more doubts I need to discuss and talk with you and for that you consult me on this site by clicking on consult privately option.

I have anal problem very frequently. Swelling and fissures are very frequent pls suggest something.

PGDMLS, PGDHHM, LLB, PhD Surgery, MS - General Surgery

Anal fissure improves with general measures but may require surgery. Piles of an early grade also improves with general measures. The general measures I would suggest are 1. Take lot of vegetables & fruits in your diet 2. Avoid chillies & spices 3. Take lot of fluids 4. Avoid constipation 5 periodically do anal exercises (alternately contracting & relaxing the buttocks, anal area & upper thighs) 6. Take sitz bath 3-4 times a day. This means sitting in a tub of warm water & doing anal exercises 7. Atleast once get it examined by a general surgeon.

I have a stone in my both kidneys so what I do for stone what is the restrictions to stop this.

I have a stone in my both kidneys so what I do for stone what is the restrictions to stop this.
Homoeopathic medicine BERBERIS VULGARIS Q ( Dr Reckeweg) HYDRANGEA Q ( Dr Reckeweg) Drink 10 drops in 20 ml fresh water 3 times daily at a minimum difference of 20 minutes from each other and eating. For Kidney pain start taking below given homoeopathic medicine in between DIOSCOREA Q ( Dr Reckeweg) Drink 10 drops every 1-2 hrly in 10 ml luke warm water depending on severity of pain Start drinking atleast 3-4 bottles of soda water daily. Report after 15 days Instead of reducing your calcium intake, focus on limiting the sodium in your diet. Extra sodium causes you to lose more calcium in your urine, putting you at risk for developing another stone. Limit your sodium to 2,000 milligrams each day. There are many sources of hidden sodium such as canned or commercially processed foods as well as restaurant-prepared and fast foods. Calcium oxalate kidney stones are the leading type of kidney stones. Oxalate is naturally found in many foods, including fruits and vegetables, nuts and seeds, grains, legumes, and even chocolate and tea. Some examples of foods that contain high levels of oxalate include: peanuts, spinach, beets, chocolate and sweet potatoes. Another common type of kidney stone is a uric acid stone. Red meat and shellfish have high concentrations of a natural chemical compound known as a purine. High purine intake leads to a higher production of uric acid which then accumulates as crystals in the joints, or as stones in the kidneys. To prevent uric acid stones, cut down on high-purine foods such as red meat, organ meats, and shellfish, and follow a healthy diet that contains mostly vegetables and fruits, whole grains, and low fat dairy products. Limit sugar-sweetened foods and drinks, especially those that contain high fructose corn syrup. Limit alcohol because it can increase uric acid levels in the blood and avoid crash diets for the same reason. Eating less animal-based protein and eating more fruits and vegetables will help decrease urine acidity and this will help reduce the chance for stone formation. You should also be sure to drink at least 6-8 glass of water a day to help reduce the risk for stone formation.

Frequent urination usually occurs in diabetes due loss of glucose in urine as it pulls more water in to bladder due to osmosis, frequency also increases in urinary tract infection, but then colour changes to dark brown or reddish and invariably associated with burning pain. Some times anxiety can also mimic such symptoms.

I am suffering fron stone in kidney and it pains so much I need fast solution without operation.

BHMS
Homeopath,
I am suffering fron stone in kidney and it pains so much I need fast solution without operation.
Dear lybrate user, a kidney stone is mainly formed due to the accumulation of the minerals present in urine. Such accumulation occurs mainly due to low intake of fluids. Continuous low fluid intake results in the deposits of the minerals over the stone & eventually leads to an increase in the size of the stone. Formation of stone leads to pain along the kidney region. If the size of the kidney stone is below 3 mm then it is possible to get rid of it without any surgery. Take homoeopathic mother tincture berberis vulgaris q, 30 drops, thrice daily, after meals, in a cup of water for 15 days. The stone will be expelled through urine in between the span of 15 days of medication. But if the size of the stone is more than 3 mm then you should surely go for surgery.

What is the prognosis of nephritic syndrome (fsgs type on renal biopsy.)

MD - Paediatrics
Pediatrician,
Too direct question to answer in one word. Most of the fsgs are steroid resistant variety of nephrotic syndrome. As long as drugs are working well kidneys don`t fail but once drugs stops working and heavy proteinuria occurs kidneys fail.

I am suffering from non-alcoholic liver Cirrhosis for the past few years. Besides this Diabetics type 2 and BP. Twice EVL has done through endoscopy. At this moment I approached Acupressure specialist. Every fifteen days one sitting. So far 6 sittings are over. Before starting ACC Pre. Stopped taking medicines for sugar and BP. Recently all the tests are done like LFT, CBP etc. All are in normal stage except Billuribm increased to 2.9. For the last two months foot swelling, terrific itching in the groin (this is there for the last 6 years). Now I am using medicine for dewatering for the last one week and taking only 1Lt of water. I could not able to take food even small quantity. Creatine level is 0.9 only. Now I am very week. In early 1992 it all started with ulcers in the duodenal. Now they are not there. I am a smoker for the last 40 years. Per day 5 cigarette now reduced to 3. What is your advice?

In my opinion you should not have stopped diabetes and bp drugs. Swelling can be due to cirrhosis or you may be having proteinuris (that is increased protein in urine due to diabetic kidney disease). Creatinine is affected in later stages of diabetic kidney disease. You have not mentioned about latest blood sugar and blood pressure. Smoking can be the reason of duodenal ulcer. I suggest you to stop smoking because you already have a high risk of heart disease, get 24 hour urine tested for proteins and creatinine clearance, check hba1c, fbs, bp and continue dewatering medicines. Also restrict salt in your diet to less than 2gm/day which means no added salt in salad, curd, no pickles, chutney, no lassi, no bakery products.

I can feel a small lump in the right side of anus jst outside. I have no blood stain in my stool. When I touch it I feel a little pain. What should be the problem.

MBBS, MS - General Surgery
General Surgeon, Hubli-Dharwad
Anal pain also known as proctalgia common causes:- 1.anal fissure-An anal fissure is a small tear in the skin of the anus that can be caused by passing a large or hard poo. Symptoms of an anal fissure can include: a severe, sharp pain when doing a poo a burning or gnawing pain that lasts several hours after doing a poo rectal bleeding – you may notice a small amount of blood on the toilet paper after you wipe Anal fissures can be very painful, but many heal on their own in a few weeks. Increasing the amount of fibre in your diet, drinking plenty of fluids and taking laxatives and over-the-counter painkillers can help. If the pain persists, you may need special ointment that relaxes the ring of muscle around your anus. Occasionally, surgery may be needed to help the fissure heal. 2.Haemorrhoids (piles) Haemorrhoids (piles) are swellings containing enlarged blood vessels that are found inside or around the bottom. They're often thought to be caused by straining on the toilet as a result of prolonged constipation. In many cases, haemorrhoids don't cause symptoms. When symptoms do occur, they may include: bleeding after doing a poo an itchy bottom feeling like there's a lump in or around your anus soreness and redness around your anus anal pain, if the blood supply to the haemorrhoid becomes blocked or interrupted – for example, by a blood clot The symptoms often pass after a few days. Increasing the amount of fibre in your diet, drinking plenty of fluids and taking laxatives and over-the-counter painkillers can help. If the blood supply to the haemorrhoid has been blocked by a clot, a simple procedure can be carried out to remove the clot under local anaesthetic (where the area is numbed). 3.Anal fistulas and abscesses An anal fistula is a small tunnel that develops between the end of the bowel and the skin near the anus. It's usually caused by an infection near the anus resulting in a collection of pus (an abscess). Symptoms of an anal fistula or abscess can include: a constant, throbbing pain that may be worse when you sit down skin irritation around the anus passing pus or blood when you poo swelling and redness around your anus a high temperature (fever) Your GP may prescribe antibiotics if an abscess is picked up early on. If it persists, it may need to be drained in hospital, possibly under general anaesthetic (while you're asleep). If a fistula develops, surgery will usually be needed because they rarely heal by themselves Less common causes of anal pain When to get medical advice Many common causes of anal pain will improve with simple self-care treatments, so you don't always need to see your GP. But it's a good idea to see your GP if: your pain is severe your pain doesn't improve after a few days you also experience rectal bleeding Don't feel embarrassed to see your GP – anal pain is a common problem that they're used to seeing. Your GP can try to work out what the problem is and give you treatment advice. They'll probably ask to see your bottom and may carry out a rectal examination (where they gently insert a gloved finger into your bottom) to check for any abnormalities. If the cause is not immediately obvious, they may refer you to a specialist for advice and further tests.

Carefully pull back and clean underneath the foreskin, as well as the tip of your penis (the glans). Make sure you pat the area dry rather than rubbing it. Do not use soap or shower gel, and avoid contact with anything that may have caused, or may worsen, the irritation. A cool compress may be used to soothe any pain.
