Hi lybrate-user 1. Eating 5 to 6 meals a day in order to gain weight, start eating 5-6 meals a day by breaking them into parts. Eating a lot at once may cause indigestion if the body fails to absorb all nutrients. Eat in small amounts, even if you are not hungry and there will be an increase in appetite from day to day. The aim should be to have a generously portioned breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as two to three snacks in between. 2. Start weight training if you build your muscles through weight training, it will convert the extra weight into lean body mass and also stimulate your appetite. The extra muscle increases the rate of metabolism. When you start exercising you will often experience extreme muscle soreness but it goes away in 3-5 days. 3. Load up on protein besides weight training, a protein-rich diet can help you gain mass. Eating a meal heavy in protein shortly after finishing exercise can be highly effective in adding extra pounds to your body. However, a diet focused only on lean protein is not helpful. It is important to make sure that your diet has plenty of fat in it. Eat foods rich in protein like cheese, meat, eggs, etc to gain weight in a healthy manner. 4. Workout your entire body a lot of people focus only on training the muscles on their arms, chest and shoulders and this is a grave error. Firstly, it will give you a disproportionate body; and it will make you prone to injuries. Therefore, it's important to work out the entire body for a complete and balanced look. 5. Drink your calories to reach the calorie requirement only by eating may be tough. Drinking milk, milkshakes or protein shakes with little or no sugar can be an effective way to load up on the calorie requirements. 6. Be patient and believe in yourself gaining weight quickly in a healthy manner is unrealistic. Every body type is different and it takes months to gain weight. Living healthy by eating the right diet will increase your strength. It is also important to keep following the routine even if you don't see any gains. Caution: junk food and fried foods must be avoided; although have a tendency to add more fat to your body but are very low in vitamins and minerals which are essentially required to keep you really fit. 1.Use amla (gooseberry) juice on scalp and also to drink. 2.Mix curry leaves with coconut oil and heat up and let it cool. Wheat Germ oil to massage your head at night. Hello sir increase your water intake. Avoid brinjal, chillies, tomatoes, raw onion, palak. Take light food, do yoga n pranayams. It may help you. But if you frequent stones, or if these are causing serious symptoms, go for an ayurveda treatment. Thx.

Although a number of skincare products are available today which claim to make our skin healthy, certain ingredients can have adverse effects on skin such as pre-mature aging, acne, hormonal imbalance etc.

Here are 6 ingredients that you must completely avoid are replace with their healthier options:

1. Triclosan - It is used as an anti-bacterial agent and has often been found to be the reason behind endocrine disruption and skin irritation.
Replacement: Essential oils such as citrus, lavender etc. should be used in place of triclosan, which are much healthier and safer to use.

2. Paraben - It is mainly used in skin care products as a preservative and is found to be the major cause for estrogen disruption, eventually leading to breast cancer and various reproductive disorders.
Replacement: In place of paraben-containing products, use the ones with substances such as Benzoic Acid, Sorbid Acid and Sodium Benzoate.

3. Mineral Oil - It is mainly used in moisturizers and disrupts the detoxifying process of the skin, ultimately causing the occurrence of acne, skin irritation and early aging.
Replacement: Mineral oil hinders the normal ‘breathing’ process of the skin and should be replaced by butters and cold pressed oils.

4. BHA and BHT - Both are used as preservatives and are leading causes of endocrine disruption.
Replacement: Tocopherol is the best and safest replacement for both BHA and BHT.

5. Retinol - It is basically used to prevent the signs of aging and is a form of vitamin A which has a peeling effect on the skin. This leads to an increased skin sensitivity and has also been found to be harmful for pregnant women.
Replacement: Hyaluronic acid and aloe vera can be used in place of Retinol.

6. Propelyne Gycol - It is basically used for the maintenance of moisture in skin care products and has often been seen to cause skin irritation.
Replacement: Use products containing sorbitol or glycerin in place of those containing propelyne gycol.

Dear , this ct scan report is useless as it does not clarify between hypodensity and artefacts. Artefacts means there may be some defect in machine or material while doing the procedure. So it is better to do a mri brain/ repeat ct from some other place.

In malaria fever to prevent mosquito bites, follow these guidelines: Stay inside when it is dark outside, preferably in a screened or air-conditioned room. Wear protective clothing (long pants and long-sleeved shirts). Use insect repellent with DEET (N,N diethylmetatoluamide). The repellent is available in varying strengths up to 100%. In young children, use a preparation containing less than 24% strength, because too much of the chemical can be absorbed through the skin. Use bed nets (mosquito netting) sprayed with or soaked in an insecticide such as permethrin or deltamethrin. But make sure that these insecticides still work against the mosquitoes where you are. In some areas, mosquitoes have become resistant to permethrin and deltamethrin. So the bed nets do not offer much protection. Use flying-insect spray indoors around sleeping areas. Avoid areas where malaria and mosquitoes are present if you are at higher risk (for example, if you are pregnant, very young, or very old). Other steps that may be helpful in reducing the risk of malaria include using air conditioning and electric fans, wearing protective clothing, using aerosol insecticides in your house, and taking certain antimalarial medicines.

Kidney stones are caused when certain minerals of your urine are retained and are not fully released, causing them to amalgamate and form a stone. Passing a kidney stone is one of the most painful experiences you may face physically. Its magnanimity is often compared to childbirth, and those who are suffering from kidney stones dread having this experience. If you are not yet affected by kidney stones and do not want to, read further to know what type of diet you need to follow in order to prevent it.

  1. Drink lots of water: On an average, a person must be drinking at least 3 liters of water every day. If you live in a more hot and humid climate, your water intake must be even more than that, so that on an average, 2.5 liters of urine is passed throughout the day, which decreases the chance of unnecessary retention of minerals from the urine and release them more easily from the body.
  2. Continue eating foods rich in calcium: It is a common misconception that calcium accelerates the formation of kidney stones. Calcium is digested by the intestine, only excess calcium cannot be digested by the intestine and is sent to the kidney. Continue consuming calcium rich foods unless your doctor prescribes you against it. Make sure your diet includes enough dairy products such as milk, cheeses, etc., or other calcium rich foods, such as oats and broccoli.
  3. Limit intake of oxalic acid: Oxalic acid is mostly found in foods obtained from plants. It restricts the absorption of calcium in the intestines and as a result, more calcium is passed into the kidneys; thus, forming calcium oxalate, or oxalate stones. Try to avoid foods, such as rhubarb, Swiss chard, nuts, tea, sweet potatoes, etc.;mainly leguminous plant products.
  4. Decrease the ingestion of sodium salts, sugar and meat protein: Salts and sugars, mainly found in packaged foods are used to prevent them from expiring. They increase the release of calcium and oxalates into the blood, which thus increases the chance to develop kidney stones. Meat contains fibers which affect certain nutrients in the kidney, thus aggravating the formation of stones.
  5. Increase the consumption of insoluble fibers: Insoluble fibers are those rough fibers which are not soluble in water during the process of digestion. They are found in rice, wheat, barley, etc., and are found to decrease calcium absorption in the kidney. They attach themselves to the calcium and oxalates, which enable them to be released as stool instead of urine.
