Pregnancy back pain typically happens where the pelvis meets your spine, at the sacroiliac joint. There are few things you can do to treat low back pain or make it rarer and milder: 1-exercise. Regular exercise strengthens muscles and boosts flexibility. That can ease the stress on your spine. Safe exercises for most pregnant women include walking, swimming, and stationary cycling. Your doctor or physical therapist can recommend exercises to strengthen your back and abdomen. 2-heat and cold. Applying heat and cold to your back may help. If your doctor agrees, start by putting cold compresses (such as a bag of ice or frozen vegetables wrapped in a towel) on the painful area for up to 20 minutes several times a day. After two or three days, switch to heat -- put a heating pad or hot water bottle on the painful area. Be careful not to apply heat to your abdomen during pregnancy. 3-improve your posture. Slouching strains your spine. So using proper posture when working, sitting, or sleeping is a good move. For example, sleeping on your side with a pillow between the knees will take stress off your back. When sitting at a desk, place a rolled-up towel behind your back for support; rest your feet on a stack of books or stool and sit up straight, with your shoulders back. Wearing a support belt may also help. Few more tips: if you need to pick something up from the ground, use your legs to squat rather than bend over. Don't wear high-heeled shoes. Don't sleep on your back. Wear support hose. If your back pain persists, you may want to consult your doctor to see what else you might try. Be sure to consult your doctor before taking pain medications. Best wishes.

married for 3 years. No symptoms of pregnancy like nausea, breast pain etc. Missed periods by 7 days. After 5 days of missed periods, feeling legs, back pain and stomach pain only nights. Getting pimples on face. Almost my vagina is dry from missed period but if I check only little amount of white appears. In d last month I used folic acid tablets. May be you are suffering from cervical spondylosis. Do not sit prolong in one posture or bending neck forward. Do mild exercise of neck, back and shoulder. Maintain right posture of body. Do some traction exercise of neck.

I am a professor in the dept of soil and water engineering, to years back on 17 sept 2013 i suffered from a disc prolapse l5s1, i took 45 days of bed rest, some doctors advised to go for surgery, while others cautioned me to continue with changed life style, once in while i do take pain relievers, there is numbness in the left heel and outer shoe line and two of the toes, i used to go by bicycle all these years form 1987, now i am using auto-drive car, do suggest me any exercise/ methods so that i can gain strength of the back and do physical work.

Hello, this type of sensation and numbness is due to compression of your spinal cord. If you can, send me all the investigation reports, it will help me to explain you the type exercises. Till then follow these advise - 1. You have to maintain correct posture with protracted shoulder, sit properly with back rest on the pillow, walk straight with your shoulder protracted. 2. While lying down on your bed, keep pillow under your knees. 3. While side lying, keep pillow between the knees. 4. Have balanced diet which is rich in calcium. 5. Drink lots of water, it will keep supple your joints. 6. Morning walk and sunbath is must for at least 15-20 mins. 7. I recommend back flexion exercises like knee to chest, straight leg raising, static abdominal exercises etc. 8. Active and passive hamstrings and quadriceps muscles stretching may helpful for you. this condition is called as hyperhidrosis if only excessive sweating is concerned. Otherwise excessive sweating can occur in anxiety, hyperthyroidism, sympathetic overactivity. But apart from sweating patients also feels tremors in hand, lack of sleep, weakness, palpitation. If your symptoms are alike the above said diseases then immediately consult a nearby physician otherwise it is hyperhidrosis which is not pathological and use of talcum powder and aluminium preparations is the only method to treat this condition.

Postural correction- sit tall, walk tall. Extension exercises x 15 times x twice daily. Apply hot fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front.

Kindly show me photograph of the affected part. Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Use no pillow under the head. Kindly take biod3 max 1 tab dailyx10 paracetamol 250mg od & sos x5days do back (spine)/shoulder/knee exercises make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take do not ignore it. It could be beginning of a serious problem. If no relief in 4_5 days, then contact me again.

Please get an X-ray done. Blue spot means blood clot below the skin. May be there's a minor bony injury which isn't detected. Otherwise it should go away in 10 days to 2 weeks time.
