I am getting skin allergy on my stomach and my genital area .i hav been applying surfaz sn and hav taken many medicines and creams bt did not workout. Its spreading on my stomach nw. I guess its due to heat. If I apply surfaz it goes and den cums again. Pls help me.

It can be fungal or bacterial infection. Don't take it lightly you should consult dermatologist. Don't try to treat at home. Other thing it may be contagious so you shouldn't touch it with bare hand. Maintain cleanliness and proper hygiene. Don't mix and wash your clothes, your towel with other family members clothes. Consult to dermatologist as soon as possible. Homoeopathy offers good results in skin conditions.

Your Daily food intake should ideally consist of –  a. Have plenty of nuts, dry fuits and seeds. Almonds, walnuts, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, figs, dates and raisins. They are full of healthy fats needed by a human body. B. Good amount of fruits and vegetables – Bananas, apples, pomegranate, green leafy vegetables. Fruits and vegetables helps in absorption of food in the body and together, completes your daily nutrition need. C. If you are a non- vegetarian - Eat eggs, chicken etc. D. Eat whole grains – Try to have multi grains spread throughout the day. Wheat, brown rice, oats, bajra, daliya etc should be taken in multiple meals in a day. E. Eat Sprouts – Chana and moong which are full of protein and nutrients. F. You can supplement your diet with good quality multi-vitamin capsules. If you are lacking in protein, you can buy a high quality whey protein and have it with banana shake twice a day.  g. You can take natural food items like wheat grass which is full of essential nutrients which helps in weight gain. Try to be patient while you are on the process of weight gain. Results take time to show. Just follow this regimen and you will soon start seeing the results.

I am 26 old female. I want skin whitening, what was the safest way to get whitening,

Take 1 tablespoon of milk powder and mix it with one tablespoon of honey, one tablespoon of lemon juice and half tablespoon of almond oil. Mix all the items well, make it a paste and apply it on your face and neck daily and wash after an hour. It will give you a perfect glowing skin. Turmeric is good ingredient for skin. Make a facepack with mixture of turmeric and milk. Apply this and wash off after an hour with cold water for glowing skin. Lemon juice and glycerin work nicely for dry skin whereas fuller’s earth and turmeric are used for oily skin. Take one tomato, grate it well and mix it with 3-4 drops of lime juice. Apply it on your face wait for 15 minutes and then rinse it off. Repeat it daily and feel the change on your face. Soak 4-5 almonds in milk overnight. In the morning make a paste of them and apply it on your face and rinse it off after an hour or two. You will definitely feel the glow on your face in less then 15 days. (you can add honey, oats and yogurt for quicker results) Prepare a fine paste of ripe papaya, oatmeal powder, milk cream and honey. Cover your face with this paste for 15 minutes. Wash it off with water. Apply buttermilk to skin, keep for 10 minutes and then wash off thoroughly for softening, cleansing and radiating effect.

Avoid spicy food in your diet and also avoid peanuts and potatoes in your diet and eat only curd rice or khichdi for few days and drink only boiled water and 90% of cases feel better after following this.

Hey This problem might be due to calorie in= calorie out or high BMR or some underlying medical situation. Some good weight gain foods are- milk, bananas, nuts and seeds, white rice, cow's ghee, sesame seeds and herbs such as Ashvagandha. Try these for a month and if you still donot get results visit a specialist.

For dark spots you have to do peeling or laser therapy .Mix 1 tsp each of honey and lemon juice and apply it on the face gently, matching your hair growth track. Leave for 10 minutes before washing off with water. While lemon acts as a bleaching agent, honey soothes the skin, leaving it radiant. You can brighten up your dull skin with a honey-oatmeal face mask too

Kindly show me a photograph of the affected part. Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck, back & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, contact me again. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem.

Hi lybrate-user, To lose belly fat try doing core strengthening exercises, pilate's, squats. Reduce intake of refined and ready to eat foods as they have high sugars. This is one of the reason for belly fat. Do leg lifts and elyptical for reducing thighs. Eat 4-5 servings of fruits and vegetables. Eat quality protein from organic milk, egg, lean meat, beans, legumes ,pulses. Hope this helps you. Stay healthy stay fit.☺

I am 23 one year back I have taken the treatment of migraine but still now also after travelling and expose to sun the comes back. Is there any permanent solution?

During travelling and on exposure to sun migraine can occur. Its due to stress on brain. During travelling try to make you busy in talking with anyone with you or in listening music and also close your eyes and take some rest. This will prevent you from migraine. When going in sun always keep glucose powdered water with you. Take few sips of this after some time. This will refresh your body and keep you away from sun stroke. Try to go out when sun rays are not at peak. Drink plenty of water daily. Eat fresh fruits and all green leafy veges. Go for morning walk daily.

Caster oil is good, take 2 spoon caster oil with warm water at night. 1) massage with stress relief oil or warm coconut oil to head, neck, and ears. 2) apply chandan powder +2-4 saffron threads+ pinch of cinnamon (dalchini) lep with rose water to forehead. 3) take 8 hrs sleep in the night. 4) avoid oily & spicy food. 5) pour 3-4 drops of warm pure cow ghee in both nostrils in head low position 6) do eye check up if headache persist.

Stress and sex is a bad combination, as it is a well known fact that it is because of stress that a person's love and intimate life often suffers. Listed below are few ways in which stress can affect your sex life:

  1. Negative body image: The hormones associated with stress are capable of affecting your metabolism. If you gain weight or feel sluggish, it makes you feel bad about your own body, which in turn hinders your desire to initiate sex. A lower self-image leads to less amount of sex and in turn, creates relationship problems. One of the main sources of stress can be your relationship; if you cannot nurture it, it might lead to elevation of stress.
  2. Negative effect on libido: Cortisol is a hormone that is produced by stress. It is needed by the body in small doses and over short periods of time.   4. Impact on fertility and Menstrual Cycle: In women, stress affects the pituitary gland, which is responsible for the thyroid, ovaries and adrenal glands. Improper functioning of the ovaries can adversely affect the menstrual cycle. Periods might become irregular or menstruation might stop.

I am 31 year old female. After my delivery i.e.on 21 may 2011 I had excessive bleeding on the very next day and after 40 days of my delivery I have irregular periods till date so that I have undergone prolactin test. According to the reports there is decreased levels of pituitary necrosis, bromocriptine administration, pseudohypoparathyroidism. Test reading is prolactin serum 1.82ng/ml. Please explain the report to me. Is there anything serious? Kindly help me out.

I have a very important presentation to give in office on this Wednesday. From all my previous experiences I am pretty sure I will have an anxiety attack for sure. Dear , why do you want to think and to be sure that you will have anxiety attack on wednesday. From the last time you had anxiety attack during presentation, many things changed, including your attitude. Then why apprehend? apprehension and generalization is the main problem. I suggest you to take on your problem head on, to be relieved off it. If you fear it, it will never leave you, whatever medicine you take. As an interim measure, you can have 25 grams of nuts (cashew, badam, peanuts etc) 2 hours before presentation. Chewing gum before presentation also will help you. Do not apprehend please. Then, after the presentation, contact me. I will teach you psychotherapy methods to overcome your anxiety disorder. Believe me, medicines cannot cure your anxiety disorder, but psychotherapy can. Sir my wife's periods starts from 10th of April in night and her menstrual cycle is about 28 days. So may I know her ovulation period. And which date have very high chance for conceiving the baby.

Im 22 year old lean guy and my face have lot of dark spots and patches with a irregular skin form I get pimples sometimes and now when I recently shifted to bangalore my skin has turned more dark, I used to have a medium fare skin while I was young and it is getting darker. I had tried some naturals precaution while I was at home but I did not get much changes in my face. Can I get the solution for my problem or I had to consult a doctor?
