Video games are like having your time with screen space just like watching tv or working with a computer. It is one other form of or to be kept as small time timepass or entertainment. No research to my knowledge says that it will work for depression or to have a positive mindset. Rather there are adverse effects only as results proven by research due to long time usage of video games. It shrinks your thinking, increases immediate gratification, further increases addiction stimulating the craving center of the brain. If you are in depression anergia will be one among the symptom and if you play video games you will be doing nothing other than restricted to the game without any fruitful work or any learning. By winning a target r a game you might get a satisfaction and momentary happiness which gives a falsified image compared to in real life you will be bugged and bored as winning needs lots of hardworking and motivation. Take up some outdoor games, feel the fresh air, sweat,exercise and keep urself healthy. Take care.

If a child is behaving with so much anger outbursts we first question the parenting, whether all his needs from the beginning were met immediately before, and he is to throw temper tantrums to meet his needs. Any child learns patterns of behaviours from the known others, parents and environment. If the parenting and environment is fine you need to assess the child for IQ/ADHD or for other behavioural problems with a clinical psychologist.in this modern world with ao much of violent cartoons and movies if the child is exposed to many the child might mimic certain super heroes with his acquired knowledge and act to his needs of gratification. L citrulline is amino acid. So. U can take it along with it only if needed. But ideally. Pre workout with such amino acid need to be avoided. Already you are on rexipra nd mirtaz. 5 Steps To Overcome Compulsive Indecisiveness!

Do you find it too hard to figure out what to wear? Does taking some important decision leave you feeling paralyzed? These indicate that you suffer from compulsive indecisiveness. Struggling with this problem leaves you stuck in one place and causes you distress. Fear of taking the wrong decision is the primary reason, which makes people indecisive. It is also likely for you to bother too much about what other people think of you.

Here are five important steps, which you should take for overcoming compulsive indecisiveness:

  1. Forget your fear: Fear of something often causes indecisiveness. You need to figure out and write down your fears and what you would do if these occur. If you are indecisive about a job change or whether the new job will be paying you less, you should analyze how the reduced income will affect your life and how you can deal with it.
  2. Tune into your emotions: Maximum people who suffer from compulsive indecisiveness and struggle at making major decisions tend to over analyze situations a bit too much. In some cases, you cannot create an easy perception or a suitable side for a situation in spite of stressing over it from various angles. The situation will remain the same, no matter how much you think. Write down your options, think about them, rate them, and choose the top rated option.
  3. Practice on small things: For improving upon your indecisiveness, you should start practicing by taking small decisions every day. Aim at taking 10 major decisions everyday such as where to go for lunch, which route to take to work and more. Slowly, practice taking decisions quickly instead of pondering over a situation. Try to make instant decisions in various spheres of life.
  4. Learn to trust yourself: You need to list all your strengths. Write down whether you think if you are smart, creative or funny. Ask yourself whether you can infuse your strengths into your process of decision making. Try to test your strengths in all kinds of matters. Once you are sure of your strengths, you will be able to achieve your goals without hesitation.
  5. Pick one thing at a time: You should pick things and matters one at a time to focus on. If there are several things which bother you and add to your indecisiveness, try to handle them one by one. This way you will be able to give all your focus to one matter, and overcome your fears related to it. After that, move on to another fear.

It is important for you to let go and refrain yourself from analyzing whether a decision which you had taken is right or wrong. Instead, focus on activities which matter to you and do not ponder over old decisions. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a psychiatrist.

You can help each other get through the rough times. A = Anticipate and plan for the challenges you'll face while quitting. Most people who begin smoking again do so within the first three months. You can help yourself make it through by preparing ahead for common challenges, such as nicotine withdrawal and cigarette cravings. R = Remove cigarettes and other tobacco products from your home, car, and work. Throw away all of your cigarettes (no emergency pack!), lighters, ashtrays, and matches. Wash your clothes and freshen up anything that smells like smoke. Shampoo your car, clean your drapes and carpet, and steam your furniture. T = Talk to your doctor about getting help to quit. This is not a good sign especially if she is not aware of it. In fact it is more than depression and needs immediate attention. Take her to a counselor first and let that person assess the seriousness of her condition and if that person wants her to meet a psychiatrist, please do it soon. It is most likely that your sister will be unwilling to come claiming that she is alright. You must still insist and take her anyway.

Well, masturbation as any other kind of behavior can potentially affect memory, but it is not like “I masturbate, then my memory changed somehow”. Memory is complex and has other components than just behavior. I would say that masturbation does not affect memory, if we are talking about healthy sexual habits. For example, if you masturbate regularly just because you want, or because it is fun, and it does not evoke negative feelings, you can consider masturbation as just something that you do for fun or whatever.

People who have been victims of domestic violence not only suffer physical abuse, but from emotional abuse as well, which may stay with them for their whole life. The trauma associated with domestic violence can be deep and takes time to heal even after the relationship with the perpetrator is over and there is no communication or contact between them.

Emotional harm is greater than physical harm
Women make up the significant majority of domestic violence victims. When they face violence within the home sphere, they experience a wide range of emotions like anger, sadness, powerlessness, fear, resentment, vindictiveness and much more. Physical violence not only harms their body, but their mind and spirit are equally wrecked as the memory of being physically subjugated scars them emotionally in a very deep manner and can take years to heal.

Some of the long term impact of domestic violence on women is mentioned below.

Physical Effects

  1. Any kind of physical injuries like bruises, cuts or dislocated joints and bones.
  2. Many women suffer from hearing impairment
  3. Loss of vision is also another effect
  4. Miscarriage or premature childbirth
  5. Sexually transmitted diseases
  6. A feeling of fatigue and weakness

  1. Depression: This is one of the worst mental effects of domestic violence is depression. The good news is depression is often temporary and can be cured. Signs of depression include a feeling of hopelessness, sadness, weight gain or loss, sleeplessness, loss of appetite and a consequent lack of interest in whatever you love to do. This can affect one’s decision making ability and in extreme cases can render one suicidal.
  2. Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder: When you encounter any violent experience, then you are most likely to develop Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. The signs of this disorder include frequent flashbacks of the traumatic experience, nightmares and extreme anxiety. Women who face these kinds of traumatic experiences find it difficult to cope with their present situation for a while. Counselling and support from their loved ones can heal these problems fast.

It is natural to feel low and miss the person you have lost. However if it is interfering with your sleep, studies or general well being, or if you feel suicidal, you need to consult a psychiatrist. It is common to feel low, cry, feel like you are alone, or lose your self confidence. Usually time is the best healer. However if things are too difficult to handle you should talk to a psychiatrist or counselor. Confide in someone close to you, who will support you in this difficult time. Don't cut off from friends or family, even if you feel like you want to be alone.

Epilepsy is a neurological disease which is characterised by recurring epileptic seizures. These seizures can be brief or can persist for prolonged periods. Vigorous episodes which last long can result in physical injuries such as broken bones. Mention that 6th February is International epilepsy day.

Causes of Epilepsy
The cause of this condition isn’t very evident; however, most medical practitioners attribute epileptic seizures to brain injury, tumours, infections in the brain or birth defects. Some doctors believe that epilepsy is caused due to genetic mutations and is an outcome of abnormal activity of cells in the brain. Other causes for this condition can be alcohol or narcotics withdrawal and electrolyte problems.

Symptoms

  1. Repeated seizures
  2. Impaired memory
  3. Bouts of fainting
  4. Short spans of blackout
  5. Sudden bouts of blinking and chewing
  6. Panic
  7. Inappropriate repetitive movements

Types of Seizures
A seizure, also known as fit, is usually a brief episode characterised by uncontrollable jerking movement and loss of awareness due to abnormal neuronal activity in your brain. A collective occurrence of these seizures causes epilepsy.

There are three types of seizures an epileptic person usually encounters.

  1. Idiopathic: This kind of seizure has no apparent cause
  2. Cryptogenic: The doctors believe that there is a cause for the seizure but cannot detect it
  3. Symptomatic: These seizures occur due to a reason.

Treatments

  1. Medication: Medication is the most common treatment in case of epilepsy. Drugs taken on a regular basis can stop the seizure partially. But in very severe cases, they seem to have no effect at all.
  2. Surgery: For symptomatic seizures which are caused due to abnormal brain function, surgery can be a way to get rid of seizures. In some minor cases, nerve stimulation in the brain and special diets can be prescribed to control the epileptic seizures.
