A daily commuter on the roads into the city? Scared of beauty being hampered by the deadly sun that shines above your head? Tired of spending your money on all those artificial products being sold into the markets at a very huge scale?

Don’t you wish to destroy your skin by using them all?

Now you stop use of all these then and start following though slow but a protective way for skin of your face.

Boil potatoes and then let it get a little cooled off after that you may  mash them but REMEMBER not to peel off the skin of them. To this you add, cucumber juice and add a few lemon drops and apply the mixture of all these, as it would help all the scares on the face get removed and help add glow to your skin too. Application of this twice a day would give the best of the results.

With a spoon of vinegar you may add an egg yolk to it and a mashed ripen banana, whisk these entire together well. Use this viscous paste as a face pack and let it rest for the next 15 minutes. After 15 minutes you may wash off your face with luke warm water and try out the same at least twice in a span of week as this would help you skin from being resistant to the UV rays of the sun.

Use ripen papaya fruit, whose one tough slice or just a piece is to be rubbed onto the face and washed off 10 mins later after application. This doesn’t only provides one with clean skin of the face but also help clear all spots and aging signs too.

Apply multani mitti (fullers earth) on your face for getting, fairer, softer, smoother and bouncy skin. Multani mitti adds a glow to your skin.

Mix channe ka atta, haldi powder, shikakai powder, water and make a fine paste out of it. Apply this paste on your face for 15 minutes and then rinse it off with lukewarm water for soft, smooth and glowing skin.

10 Things to Help You Lose Weight Naturally!

With obesity on the rise, more and more young people are looking at measures for weight loss. Ayurveda, with its safe and natural system can be a lofe saver. It believes that obesity is a result of excessive Kapha, and weight loss measures should be aimed at reducing kapha. Reduce foods that are sweet, sour or salty. Increase foods that are bitter and pungent and promote digestion.

The following are some effective ways of losing weight, a combination of natural herbs, dietary habits, and lifestyle changes.

  1. Guggul or commiphora resin is a very effective fat burner that is used in correcting lipid disorders and treating obesity. It helps by correcting total cholesterol levels, lowering LDL (the bad cholesterol), and increasing HDL (the good cholesterol) levels.
  2. Garcinia cambogia, or vriksh amla, is a form of gooseberry that is used widely for weight loss. It affects the fat synthesis, fat accumulation, and reduces visceral fat deposition.
  3. Salacia or Kotahla is another popular herb known for reducing fat accumulation. It suppresses the growth of adipose tissue and is particularly useful in people who are insulin resistant.
  4. Kalonji seeds, or Nigella, is also useful in improving waist-hip ratios and reducing body-mass index.
  5. Liquorice is rich in flavonoids which are rich in antioxidants. This has been proven to be useful in preventing accumulation of abdominal fat and reducing triglycerides.
  6. Warm lime water everyday in the morning will help boost the digestive system and promotes in weight loss. Honey can be added if required.
  7. Three meals a day is advisable  with no snacking in between or healthy snacking if not manageable. The meals should consist of balanced, healthy foods with no oils, lots of whole grains, fresh fruits and vegetables. Eat vegetables and fruits that are seasonal, as they have seasonal benefits, are free of chemicals, and easily available. Melons are plentiful in summers while are adequately hydrating, the nuts and roots during winters provide protection from the cold. It is good to have breakfast and lunch as heavier meals compared to dinner, which should be the smallest.
  8. Starting your day with a round of exercise is considered ideal for a variety of reasons and also for weight loss. Do a mild walk for about 10 minutes after each meal to promote digestion.
  9. Adhere to a regular sleep pattern. The hormones and digestive enzymes have a natural cycle and help in managing weight.
  10. Whether meditation or music, exercise or aerobics, find a way to control and manage stress. It is one of the main causes of weight gain.

Are you aware of a disease called osteoarthritis that is more likely to develop in case you are aging? Osteoarthritis is a disease, which affects the joints of your body. It occurs when the cartilages that protect and cushion your bones break down, causing swelling and pain, and may make you immobile. The chances of developing osteoarthritis increase with age as your cartilages start breaking down. Women who are beyond menopause are at a higher risk of getting this disease as they do not produce estrogen, which is essential for bone growth. There are several precautions you should follow for the prevention of osteoarthritis, especially if you are aged. They are as follows:

  1. Manage your occupational risks
    • Certain jobs involve repetitive motions, which cause stress on your joints.

  2. Exercise

  4. Rest

    • Have a balanced lifestyle, and when your joints become achy or swollen, give them a break.
    • Abstain from using your swollen joint for at least 12 to 24 hours after experiencing them. Letting your injured joint rest helps in reducing your risk of osteoarthritis.

  5. Control your blood sugar
    • Diabetes is considered to be an important risk factor for osteoarthritis in aged individuals.
    • High glucose levels may boost the formation of molecules that make your cartilage stiff.

    • It is important for you to keep your diabetes and blood sugar levels under control for preventing osteoarthritis.

Exposure to the sun for a long period of time can result in several skin problems. They occur on the basis of heat, humidity and the rays of the sun. Here are the most common skin problems caused due to sun exposure:

  1. Sunburn: Sunburns occur as a result of overexposure of the skin to the harmful ultraviolet rays of the sun. Melanin in the skin protects it from the sun’s rays, but in case of overexposure, melanin fails to work and sunburn is caused. The symptoms of sunburn include the skin turning red, burning in the affected areas, skin tightness and a sensation of itching. Severe symptoms are blisters, chills, fever and fatigue.
  2. Age spots: Age spots are caused due to overexposure to the sun. They are brown marks, which appear on the surface of the skin, especially in the arms, hands and other body parts. Age spots get more prevalent with ageing. Symptoms of this condition include brown and gray pigmentation on the skin surface. The pigmentation occurs in a circular shape and is flat on the skin.
  3. Photosensitivity: This condition is also known as sun allergy. People with photosensitivity are likely to get burned from sun exposure very easily, and symptoms of sunburn are observed. Symptoms include red and pink skin rashes accompanied by itching and burning. The area gets scaly and blistered.
  4. Moles: Moles occur commonly due to sun exposure. They may appear on any part of the body. Moles may vary from being harmless to cancerous. Common symptoms include raised skin and the skin tone changing into reddish brown or black. Moles are round in shape, and some moles are painful.
  5. Solar elastosis: This condition is commonly known wrinkles and occurs when the elastic tissues of the skin get deteriorated due to sun exposure. The skin turns limp on account of no strength of the tissues and collagen. Wrinkles appear, and the skin seems loose and sagging. Deep lines are formed on the skin.
  6. Skin cancer: Skin cancer accounts for being the most severe and fatal result of prolonged exposure to the sun without any kind of protection. There are many forms of skin cancer. The most primary skin cancers include Melanoma, basal cell carcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma.
  7. Polymorphous light eruption: This condition, known as PMLE in short, affects women between the age group of twenty to forty. It also occurs in light sensitive people who spend more time under the sun. Symptoms include a red or pink, bumpy rash and raised areas on the skin surface. Itchiness and dry patches are indicated.

A large number of skin problems occur due to long hours of sun exposure. Some of these are chronic problems, which require proper treatment.

I am facing problem of breathlessness for the last 15 days while sleeping at night. It happens approx after 3 hours after I sleep. I ve changed my dinner time from 7.30 pm to 5.30-6.00 pm. I usually sleep at 10. 30 pm. For the last ten days, I have started taking Rablet20 before breakfast (empty stomach). But there's no improvement. Is there a serious problem?

Hello, Lybrate user, you need to reduce your weight ,first, it might cause snorrring & sleep apenea resulting breathlessness and you suffer from gastric disorder as well, being another factor for breathlessness in the night. There are several different ways steroids do make you gain weight while you’re taking them. One of the most common is due to an increased appetite. With an increased appetite, you will eat more. This means that you consuming more calories on a daily basis than what you are used to, which leads to the weight gain. Another common side effect of steroids that is associated with weight gain is fluid retention, especially around the abdominal area. When your body holds fluid, it will obviously cause you to gain weight. This happens because the steroid is responsible for helping to regulate the balance of sodium, water and various other electrolytes in the body. Therefore, fluid retention is often promoted, which can actually worsen or even cause issues with high blood pressure in addition to the weight gain. So I don't recommend to take steroids as health is more important than your looks.

Don't use any creams. As it contains chemicals which may further worsen the condition. So it's better to avoid any creams or external applications containing chemicals. Better you can slice a cucumber and place over there for 20 minutes daily morning and night. 6 hrs sleep compulsory. Don't keep on think about dark circles instead focus on your works. Change food habites add in your food calcium vitamins minirales proteins green vegitabales salad milk end milk products. Do arobeick excersices yoga will help you. Wash face with Ķeva aloe face wash dry than massage Ķeva fairness cream mironing end night. Use cap if you are going into Sun light.

If you want to gain weight, then it is very important that you do it right. 1.Eat More Calories Than Your Body Burns 2. Eat Lots of Protein Muscle is made of protein, and without it most of those extra calories may end up as body fat. 3.If youâre trying to gain weight, aim for 0.7-1 grams of protein per pound of body weight (1.5 â 2.2 grams of protein per kilogram). You can even go above that if your calorie intake is very high. Protein foods meats, fish, eggs, many dairy products, legumes, nuts 4. Eat Lots of Carbs and Fat, and Eat at Least 3 Times Per Day. Make sure to eat at least 3 meals per day, and try to add in energy-dense snacks whenever possible. 5.Donât drink water before meals. This can fill your stomach and make it harder to get in enough calories. 6.Drink milk. Drinking whole milk to quench thirst is a simple way to get in more high-quality protein and calories. 7.
