There Is no such medicine as many advertisements claim. Only strong will power, determination, attending AA meetings and diverting mind when tempted will help you stop alcohol Alcohol causes 7 types of cancer, including breast, mouth and bowel cancers. When you drink alcohol, cancer-causing chemicals are formed. Alcohol also affects hormone levels and makes cells even more likely to be damaged by smoking. The less alcohol you drink, the lower the risk of cancer. No type of alcohol is better or worse than another, it is the alcohol itself that leads to the damage, regardless of whether it is in wine, beer or spirits. And drinking and smoking together are even worse for you. Not everyone who drinks alcohol will develop cancer. But on the whole, scientists have found that some cancers are more common in people who drink more alcohol than others. Every year, alcohol causes 4% of cancers .Tips to cut down on alcohol. There are lots of simple ways to cut down on the amount of alcohol you drink. It can help to work out if there are particular times or situations when you tend to have a drink, whether that’s a bad day at work or a weekly pub quiz tradition, and plan what you’ll say and do differently next time. Have more alcohol-free days a week. For liver health it’s best to have at least 2 days off alcohol in a row each week. Try agreeing on certain days with your partner or a friend and help each other and stick to it. If you are planning to drink alcohol, decide on a limit in advance and make sure you don’t go over it. Swap every other alcoholic drink for a soft one – starting with your first drink. Try shandy instead of a pint of beer, or swap some wine for soda and have a spritzer. Don’t stock up on beer, wine or spirits at home. Finish one drink before pouring another, because topping up drinks makes it harder to keep track of how much you’ve had and when you planned to stop. Avoid buying drinks in rounds, that way you don’t have to keep pace with anyone. Tell a friend or partner that you’re cutting down on alcohol, they can support you – or even join you.

It is very difficult to say whether the depression came first or the drinking and smoking. Even so, both these habits are bad and can precipitate further complications and degeneration. The alcohol lifts up your mood from the depression but after the effects wear off, you will sink into more depression! Smoking is completely harmful: the nicotine in tobacco is a mood-modifier. It will boost up your mood when you are down and moderate it when it is too high, especially emotionally high. You must go and meet with a counselor immediately and if that person advises that you meet with a doctor you must do so and cooperate to your utmost. Please visit these professionals along with your parents. In the meantime please do the following sincerely because you could resolve the problem better with good cooperation: Have a good night’s sleep, have a good breakfast of more proteins, meditate often, remain free of stress, eat a lot of fiber, nuts, avocado, exercise regularly, eat dark chocolate, do Yoga meditation exercises, spend time in nature or gardening, etc. I suggest you do the opposite of what this depression makes you feel like doing (actually, not doing): you will need to fight this condition. You must become active; stay upright during the daylight time; meet people; never sleep during the day, wake up by 6 am every day, play some active games, especially contact games, do physical exercises, talk to people and join some social clubs, attend Yoga classes etc. Watch sitcoms on TV or comedies and cheer yourself up. Go for excursions in groups, for outings, camps, conferences, and religious conventions. Get a pet dog and spend time training it, exercising it and relating to it. Expose yourself to some sunlight every day, at least, 30 minutes but not in the scorching heat. Whatever happens, please incorporate these three important adaptations in your life: always be responsible, be respectful, and be functional. If you did these three, lots of things will go well in life. Please pray and have faith in God to alleviate your sufferings. Don’t wait for others to help. Use your own motivation, which might be at its lowest, but persevere and win this battle. Above all to be really happy, you need to live in love and for love. Learn all about emotions and how to handle them and that will get you out of the depression rather easily and quickly. A counselor is there only to facilitate you, all the hard word must come from you, and your cooperation with that person is very critical for your success. Be positive every day and learn to be contented with what you have. Do some left brain exercises: it is the happy brain. Here are a few suggestions: shut your left nostril and breathe, move your eyes from right to left and vice versa for at least half a minute at a time, and do calisthenic exercises with some form of counting, regularly. Whatever happens please cooperate with the therapy and do not discontinue until the condition is completely resolved.

Hi, Thanks for writing in, welcome to the forum. This kind of anxiety is common and can be part of social anxiety alone or a more generalized phenomenon. The reason or cause behind this is complex. It can involve one's nature/ personality or an anxiety disorder or a combination of both. If this has been there since childhood, there is likely a large component of personality. If it is something of recent onset, the component of the disorder is likely larger. The disorder part may respond to medicines whereas the personality part will need therapy/ counseling. Usually, a combination of both medicines and counseling works best. After a proper evaluation, a personalized management strategy can be planned. Take care!

Dear user. I can understand. Tobacco is addictive. Cigarette also contains 4000+ carcinogenic chemicals other than nicotine. Smoking can affect your mouth, throat, lungs, heart, stomach and brain in many ways. Cancer is one among the potential diseases smoking can cause. The best method is to leave it and continue with your will power. There are other methods like Nicotine Replacement therapy and pharmacotherapy combined. Nicotine chewing gums too help as an alternative for cigarettes. But still you will need will power. You may consult a physician or deaddiction therapist or a rehabilitation facility for further advice. You can also opt for online deaddiction therapy. Take care.

Are you illiterate? Then you could have a problem in this highly competitive work environment. If you have been laid off for just a few months, then do not get discouraged. If you have been fired, you may have a real problem. Otherwise, do persevere and actively seek employment according to your aptitude. Sometimes you may have to take up any job for the time being and keep on the lookout for a more suitable one that meets your career aspirations. Depending on your field of work, things may be easy or difficult. Giving up is never the right course. Life is a fight always but a disciplined approach will take you far and wide. If in the interim you are able to develop some more skills or attend courses that would enhance your marketability and make your rsum read even better, please undertake to do them. You could always explain to prospective employers that you used your time well and productively. That sure will impress companies and provide you with suitable openings. Of course, there are a lot of self-employment opportunities that anyone can do anytime, if they are determined and have some seed money: No qualifications, no literacy, no handicaps. You will be your own master and your results will depend entirely on you.

Cut down your study material into portions and make a time table. Study for 45 mins at a time then take a 5-15 min break. Study during the hours you are most alert and receptive. Maintain regular sleep and wake times. Do some mindfulness techniques that will help your concentration. Yoga and meditation also help to improve concentration. You can consult me for further management if required.

Alcoholism is alcohol addiction. If you?re ready to stop drinking and willing to get the support you need, you can recover from alcoholism and alcohol abuse?no matter how bad the addiction or how powerless you feel. The first step in treating alcoholism is accepting that you have a problem. Confronting an addiction and accepting responsibility for your actions isn?t easy. But it?s a necessary step on the road to treatment and recovery. You should then consult a psychiatrist / psychologist who fill follow this treatment. 1. Detoxification using medicines. 2. Behavior modification with the help of therapies. 3. Counseling. 4. Medication to sustain and 5. Long term support. These given steps are essential for any addict to get effectively rid of alcoholism. Therefore, you need to stick to the treatment plan and cooperate with your psychiatrist / psychologist. Take care.
