HI Lybrate user As a parent, at first you should try to divert her attention and spend quality time and give proper love and affection, tell her some real stories of great persons. Indulge her in outdoor games. Provide her some play opportunities that support different kinds of learning styles such as blocks- will develop your child's creative expression and problem solving skills. Ask about what she is learning in school. Offer her some positive reinforcement that will inspire her to keep learning or good behavior. Thanks.

Hello, Dandruff causes hair loss so its necessary to treat dandruff first. Take Thuja 200, 5 drops in the morning, once in a week. Take Arnica Q and Cochleria arom. Q in equal amount, mix with equal amount of coconut oil, and apply this on your scalp, thrice a day. Wash your hair with B&T Anti- Dandruff Shampoo. Home remedies are as follows:- Coconut oil helps eliminate dandruff due to its antifungal properties. It also moisturizes dry scalp and provides relief from itching. Take some coconut oil and mix half the amount of lemon juice in it. Rub it on your scalp and massage for a few minutes. Wash your hair after at least 20 minutes. Follow this remedy two to three times a week. Revert me after 1 month.

Masturbation once in a week or twice a week is not harmful. But try to control your desire to do it. As such there are no scientific back up for bad things about it.

If you are comfortable with only one Buprocare N then continue at same dose provided no withdrawal symptoms are there. Continue it till your psychiatrist advise. Mirtaz 7.5 mg is probably given for sleep problems. Its a antidepressant but with such minimal dosage we use it in managing sleep problems.

I am 24 yrs old female. I am not able to concentrate on anything. I get headache very easily. I cannot sleep. Most of the time I cry too much and sometimes I want to end my life. Am I suffering from depression or its just thyroid problem?

Reparenting Technique, BA, BEd
Psychologist, Bangalore
I am most certain it is depression and it is an anger related one too. Life is very precious and no matter how bad the situation is do not even think about suicide. If it keeps coming back to you talk to someone regularly. Any way I think you must meet with a counselor and if that person thinks that you need to meet with a doctor too, you must. But your cooperation is a must with both therapies. Your concentration will definitely be affected under these circumstances. The earlier you treat this condition the better. In the meantime please do the following sincerely because you could resolve the problem better with good cooperation: Have a good night’s sleep, have a good breakfast of more proteins, meditate often, remain free of stress, eat a lot of fiber, nuts, avocado, exercise regularly, eat dark chocolate, do Yoga meditation exercises, etc. I suggest you do the opposite of what this depression makes you feel like doing (actually, not doing): you will need to fight this condition. You must become active; stay upright during the daylight time; meet people; never sleep during the day, wake up by 6 am every day, play some active games, especially contact games, do physical exercises, talk to people and join some social clubs, attend Yoga classes etc. Watch sitcoms on TV or comedies and cheer yourself up. Go for excursions in groups, for outings, camps, conferences, and religious conventions. Get a pet dog and spend time training it, exercising it and relating to it. Expose yourself to some sunlight every day, at least 30 minutes but not in the scotching heat. Whatever happens, please incorporate these three important adaptations in your life: always be responsible, be respectful, and be functional. If you did these three, lots of things will go well in life. Please pray and have faith in God to alleviate your sufferings. Don’t wait for others to help. Use your own motivation, which might be at its lowest, but persevere and win this battle. Above all to be really happy, you need to live in love and for love. Learn all about emotions and how to handle them and that will get you out of the depression rather easily and quickly. A counselor is there only to facilitate you, all the hard word must come from you, and your cooperation with that person is very critical for your success. Be positive everyday and learn to be contended with what you have. Do some left brain exercises: it is the happy brain. Here are a few suggestions: shut your left nostril and breathe, move your eyes from right to left and vice versa for at least half a minute at a time, and do callisthenic exercises with some form of counting, regularly. Whatever happens please cooperate with the therapy and do not discontinue until the condition is completely resolved.

Benefits of Happy Relationships

Benefits of Happy Relationships

  1. Social support in life. It’s helpful to have people in your life who can offer their expertise to help you out. This might mean being a good listener, a wise life advisor, being handy with fix-it stuff around the house or being an expert negotiator (which can be extremely handy when you need to buy a new car). All of these types of support improve your quality of life.
  2. Help in becoming the person you want to be.  you want to be will support you in a way that helps you become that person. Because your partner’s response to you can help shape the person you become, We know that parents have a similar effect on their young children. And, it seems reasonable that other emotionally intimate relationships can also have the same kind of effect.
  3. A ready opportunity to be caring toward others. You don’t need a scientific study to tell you that being altruistic can make you feel happy and view yourself in a positive light – though such studies certainly do exist to support this claim. Studies also show that altruism creates a sense of calm and reduces stress.
  4. A sense of being part of something bigger than yourself. People have an inborn need to feel a sense of belonging. And, when people meet this need, they gain a sense of well-being. As part of a network of friends or a more formalized group, you can meet this need.
  5. Reduced Stress. Social relationships relieve stress through the many ways in which they are a support and help people to feel good. Although feeling less stressed is positive in itself, reducing stress is also important because stress can cause problems with coronary arteries, insulin regulation, and the immune system.
  6. Better health. Not only do people’s relationships have a directly positive effect upon people’s health (such as with stress reduction), they also influence people’s health behaviors. For instance, spouses and other loved ones often actively encourage exercising, eating a healthy diet, and following up with medical issues. So, not surprisingly, people with emotional support tend to recover better and be less susceptible to illness or disease than those who are more alone.
