My teeth root is getting black and gums are bleeding. I don't eat tobaccos please help.

MDS - Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery
Dentist, Chennai
My teeth root is getting black and gums are bleeding.
I don't eat tobaccos please help.
We need more investigations with clinical examination to decide upon treatment. You may need deep cleaning along with surgical, gum strengthening procedure. Rinse your mouth thoroughly with a mouth wash after every meals. Use pepsodent tooth paste & gum paint for 2 to 3 weeks. Advance procedures can be done with laser. Dental tips: - visit a dentist every six months for cleaning and a thorough dental check-up. Limit sugary food to avoid tooth decay. Gargle your mouth thoroughly after every meal. Scrub gently to clean your tongue with a tongue cleaner. Floss all your teeth inter dentally & brush twice daily, morning & night, up & down short vertical strokes, with ultra-soft bristles, indicator brush. Tooth brush to be changed every 2 months.

Tongue cleaning is as important as brushing and flossing. Use of a proper tongue scraper every morning will remove tongue plaque and freshen your breath.

Is it advisable for a 21 year old with all teeth but not in perfect shape n size to get replaced by a new artificial set of teeths for a better dental care and smile?

BDS
Dentist, Mumbai
No.Always what is natural is the best.I suggest, if for cosmetic and aesthetic reasons you can't go for artificial teeth. However you can still go for orthodontic ( that's braces. We can now give you invisible braces too) or restorations like Laminates, Veneers, or composite restorations to give yourself a beautiful smile .We can give you beautiful smile designs these days. So don't get your natural teeth replaced. What's God given and natural is the best.Artificial will not be half as good.

Dentist,
WHAT IS CLEARBITE
HOW DOES IT WORK

CLEAR BITE is a custom-made series of aligners crafted only for you using advanced technologys to straingtening the teeth. These aligner trays are made of smooth, comfortable and virtually invisible plastic that you wear over your teeth. Wearing the aligners will gradually and gently move your teeth into place, based on the exact movements your dentist or orthodontist plans out for you. There are no metal brackets to attach and no wires to tighten. You just change in a new set of aligners approximately every tw?o weeks, until your treatment is complete. You?ll achieve a great smile with little interference in your daily life. Clear bite aligners help you that most people won't even know you're straightening your teeth.

My teeth is sensitive. I have tried sensodine but no relief yet which medicine or toothpaste give me relief?

BDS
Dentist, Jaunpur
My teeth is sensitive. I have tried sensodine but no relief yet which medicine or toothpaste give me relief?
Lybrate-user you have to understand, if a toothpaste is so effective in treating sensitivity, then our service is meaningless you have to visit to your dentist where he can check for reason of your sensitivity few of them can be as 1) periodontitis 2) cervical abrasion 3) developing caries 4) vertical fracture 5) atrission 6) failed restoration 7) fracture restoration 8) leaking restoration 9) periodontal pocket or a lot more none of the med can cover all of them I am tell you with due respect by taking med. And toothpaste you are just giving time to you disease to become worse and worse self medication is very dangerous and is not prescribed by any govt or health agency in the word.

Gum diseases can be treated and reversed in their initial stages very easily. By getting the accumulated tartar and plaque removed by a dentist, there is a chance that they can get better without much ado.

I am 39 years old there is a gap between two teeth. What is the permanent solution?

MDS - Orthodontics
Dentist, Mohali
I am 39 years old there is a gap between two teeth. What is the permanent solution?
Hi. There are several reasons for the presence of gap between teeth. Eg: bone loss around teeth, frenum pull, an extra tooth present inside bone or could be because of deficient tooth material. First the problem needs to be evaluated n removed n den either you can get it closed by orthodoontic treatment ie braces or by build up.
