I am getting my tooth removed. If I will not go for tooth implant will it cause bad breath?

Certified Implantologist, BDS
Dentist, Jaipur
hi..you will not suffer from bad breath but if u loose one tooth then adjacent teeth tend to come in free space hence become mobile over a period of time moreover opposite tooth try to come out of normal bite and becomes mobile with time so get it replaced ...and one more imp thing that there is gradual loss of bone in extracted socket so makes dental implantation difficult...so do not delay much..For more query feel free to ask

Hello Replacing tooth will be more painful. But these both procedures are performed under local anesthesia so you won't feel pain. First visit a dentist and get an x ray done for the tooth then the dentist will decide whether to do a root canal or simply cavity filling. Regards.

I accidently cut my lower lip's inner side with my teeth while eating. Now I am unable to eat anything and facing too much burning sensation while eating anything. What to do?

Kindly consult a dentist in person for further suggestion. We need more investigations to decide upon treatment. You may need coronoplasty (smoothen teeth edges) along with c. Becosules 5 cap, for five days in the morning after meals & hexigel ointment on the area of ulcer until then. You may consult me in person. Dental tips: - visit a dentist every six months for cleaning and a thorough dental check-up. Limit sugary food to avoid tooth decay. Gargle your mouth thoroughly after every meal. Scrub gently to clean your tongue with a tongue cleaner. Floss all your teeth inter dentally & brush twice daily, morning & night, up & down short vertical strokes, with ultra-soft bristles, indicator brush.

The type of treatment you have for toothache will depend on the cause of the pain, so your dentist will examine your mouth and may carry out an X-ray to try to identify the problem. •If your toothache is caused by tooth decay, your dentist will remove the decayed area and replace it with a filling. •If your toothache is caused by a loose or broken filling, the filling will be taken out, any decay will be removed and a new filling put in place. •If the pulp inside your tooth is infected, you may need root canal treatment. This procedure involves removing the infected pulp and then inserting a special type of filling to seal the tooth and prevent re-infection. •If your toothache can't be treated using these methods, or if your tooth is impacted (wedged between another tooth and your jaw), it may need to be removed.

Although excessive saliva is not too common, there are a number of conditions that can cause it - some harmless, others more serious. It is possible that your saliva problems are just a result of the way you speak. Some people speak faster or slower than others, just as some people blink more often, breathe faster, or have a more rapid heartbeat. This may just be what's normal for you. Since it is negatively affecting your life, I suggest your problem can be ignored. However there are medical conditions that causes excessive salivation Injection Glycopyrrolate reduces secretions in the mouth, throat, airway, and stomach.

Gastritis, lung & sinus infection may also be the cause of bad smell in the mouth. 90% of bad breath is due to a dirty tongue. We need more investigations with clinical examination to decide upon treatment. You may need deep cleaning. Rinse your mouth thoroughly with a mouth wash until then. Advance procedures can be done with laser too. Dental tips: - visit a dentist every six months for cleaning and a thorough dental check-up. Limit sugary food to avoid tooth decay. Gargle your mouth thoroughly after every meal. Scrub gently to clean your tongue with a tongue cleaner. Mr. Lybrate-user, placement of artificial crowns wil result in larger tooth appearance than normal teeth. In due course you wil accustom to it. Since you have removed your teeth. You can go for zirconia crowns which are sleek n adapt accurately.
