Mr Shiva, If you have T2 DM, then it should be properly treated with oral drugs and/or Insulin depending on sugar levels. I am sure you are already taking necessary treatment. Apart from that you have to take a balanced and restricted diet that gives exact calories based on ideal body weight (60 kgs), blood sugar levels and extent of daily exercise. You should avoid sweets, direct sugar and jaggery, deep fried foods, junk foods, pastries, sweetened aerated drinks, high fat cheese, ghee and butter. Consume more of green leafy vegetables and salads, permitted fruits (100 g a day). Exercise daily for more than 1 hour.

No smoking, no alcohol if any. Avoid outside spicy and fried food. Walk about 3-5 kms daily. There should be gap of 2 hrs after dinner and sleep. Small and frequent meals is of help chew your food properly at time of lunch and dinner. Keep your blood sugar controlled. Raise your bed about 4" from headend side. Get your gastroendoscopy done. Tab nexpro-l 1 tab empty stomach.

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. Your knee pain could be due to certain reasons but common ones are chondromalacia, pain due to knee instability, inflammation etc. If there is no history of any injury, and no s/s of inflammation or infection like swelling, skin redness or local warmth on touching, then I will like to advise you for conservative management initially in form of: - intensive physical therapy with focus on strengthening of quadriceps and stretching of other group of muscles - gentle anti inflammatory medications like tab etoshine or tab paracetamol can be taken in small doses for 5-7 days - adequate calcium and vitamin d supplementation as per requirement - ice packs at home for 3-4 times in a day and see how it goes for around 2 weeks time. If your condition does not improve, then we will have to get certain investigations done. Do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance. You can also discuss your case and treatment plans with me in a greater detail in a private consultation.

Kindly get scaling done and use mouth wash twice daily for 15 days. Brush your teeth twice daily using correct brushing technique to maintain your oral hygiene. Also notice that you are not constipated most of the times as this is also one of the reasons for bad breath.

For your stomach problem-- you need to avoid spicy, masalas and nonveg food and eat only curd rice or khichdi for a week to make it regular.

Hi, I'm 26 years old, I have keloid on my chest and I did surgery and injection two years back but now its growing bigger and multiplying. I am really worried, sometimes the keloid its irritating and itching. Please suggest me the best treatment.

Dear, keloids are formed due to defective healing of body injury. I can suggest you some better tips to get relief from keloids: * boil 100 gm of dry or fresh neem leaves in 500 ml of water and wash keloids with this water daily. * take 2 teaspoon of turmeric (haldi) and 2 tea spoon of mehndi, mix some water in it and make paste. Apply this paste on keloids and wash it after 45 minutes. Repeat it atleast for 20-25 days. * you can take mahamanjishtarishth but only under the guidance of an ayurveda expert. * you can also opt the plastic surgery or radiation therapy by consulting a cosmetic surgeon.

Hello, you should try Exercise like stretching swimming regularly yoga like Tadasan and Sarvang asana. play Basket ball regularly. Take proper balanced nutritios and protein rich diet. *Mix two tablespoons of ashwagandha powder in a glass of warm cow’s milk. 1. Add sugar or jaggery according to your taste and mix well. 2. Drink it every night before going to bed at least for 45 days to increase your height. I suggest you to follow these exercises on regular basis in order to get result.

With sugars around 400 only ayurvedic medicines wont work. You will need allopathy medicines also. Best to avoid cornflakes if sugars are high

I having left side chest pain while breathing. Same time it like I am going to die. On 6 feb 2016, I felt some kind of sensation in my body exactly where I having pain now. And its kept on coming for 3 days and I was admit in hospital on those 3 days. They told me it" I was having just an over tension attack you just take these vitamins and gusto pills" but I was not well until I consult to a psychiatrist. She told me" you just having an anxiety problem because of depression" and gave me pills to have for indefinite time means she told me to have those pill for 8-9 months or may b more. So started her pill and it was working very nicely after having those pill I feel comfortable. I thought she was my lord she save my soul but after one month again I had that attack but this time my mind was in control but my body was like I am loosing myself and I run to hospital they told me to relax and they inject me a gusto injection. But I wasn't relaxed and came back to home my body still in feeling those sensation and after 4 hour it stop. Then I went to a cardiologist specialist he told me you don't have any heart related problem you just have" Minor Effectiveness disorder" He gave one blood press controlling pill and one" TRYPTOMER 10mg" and it's working but like as my psychiatrist pills. Now I having that pill at night My cardiologist told me to have that pill every morning and evening but I am taking it only at night. But at every evening I feel like mind is not working my eyes see things bigger and disabled to concentrate on any thing until I have my dinner and that pill. Now from 3-4 days I also having chest pain on left side where I had those sensations. Please what's the problem or disease I have.

You have expained your problem in much detail, then also it is difficult to diagnose it, although at first it sounds like you are having a heart problem, probably its due to pericarditis or any other problem. But the best thing in homoeopathy is that on basis of symptom disease can be treated successfully, so frankly speaking I cannot assure you for cure, but my advise is to consult this problem from a good homoeopathic physician, so that you can at least have relief without any further side effect.

There are several things you can do to prevent a cold—they are all easy and inexpensive and worth the effort. Wash your hands often-with soap and warm water.The germs stick to the soap and get washed down the drain. Always wash your hands after coughing or sneezing into your hands, blowing your nose, after touching someone who is sick, or when using public restrooms or telephones. Cover Your Mouth and Nose When You Sneeze or Cough- Clean your hands every time you cough or sneeze. Avoid Touching Your Eyes, Nose, or Mouth-Germs are often spread when a person touches a contaminated surface and then touches their eyes, nose, or mouth. Stay Home When You’re Sick-Get plenty of sleep, be physically active, don’t smoke, manage stress, drink plenty of fluids, and eat nutritious food so you can fend off viruses. Take healthy balanced diet...like boiled eggs.daily in breakfast .. Avoid people who have a cold or cold symptoms. Routinely clean and disinfect common areas of your home. Treatment:There is a gradual 1-3 day onset of symptoms. It often starts out as a sore throat, then a fever and coughing. As the cold progresses, the nasal mucus may thicken which is the last stage before the cold dries up. A cold usually lasts for a week or two. But, taking good care of yourself at home can relieve symptoms and help prevent complications if you are otherwise healthy. Unless you develop complications, you shouldn’t need medical treatment. Complications include bacterial infections of the ears, throat, sinuses or lungs which must be treated with antibiotics. In general you should: • get plenty of rest so your body can use its energy to fight the cold • staying at home will keep you from spreading germs • drink plenty of liquids like herbal tea or hot broth/vegetable/tomato soups. Avoid foods or drinks with caffeine which can keep you from getting enough sleep Runny Nose and Sneezing- if you have post nasal drip, gargle to keep from getting a sore throat. Drink extra fluids. (avoid sugary and high calorie drinks) Use saline nasal sprays or nasal irrigation • Tablet Nasorest-P once/twice daily may reduce the amount of mucous. • Humidify the rooms you are in most or your whole house if possible. • Do steam inhalation once or twice daily Cough-Coughing is how your body gets rid of debris and mucus from the airways during a viral infection. Unless your cough is severe or is keeping you from resting at night, it is better not to treat it. A severe cough can be treated with a cough syp, but don’t try to completely stop the cough. There are two types of coughs. Productive and non-productive or dry cough. Non-productive, dry cough. A dry, hacking cough may develop near the end of a cold. Dry coughs that follow viral colds are often worse at night and can last up to several weeks. Take syrup Alex-D for a dry cough. Cough drops can sooth an irritated throat, but most don’t affect the cough. Productive cough. A productive cough is one that brings up mucus from the back of the throat or the lungs. Productive coughs should not be suppressed to the point they no longer bring up mucus. Use syrup Alex. Drink lots of water if you have a productive cough. Head and Body Aches- Take tablet dolo-650 mg for fever once or twice daily

5 Foods That Are Beneficial for Athletes

Instead of spending a lump sum amount on supplements that are marketed for athletes and fitness fanatics, you can just make a few changes to your diet and add these 5 super foods mentioned below to your daily dietary plan to increase your endurance and power. Eating whole foods rather than manufactured and processed food is recommended in this regard. Avoid sitting Cross legged. Avoid Squatting- Quadriceps Exercises- Lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core Strengthening Exercise- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams Stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. repeat 10 times, twice a day. Sports Taping- stretch the tape from both ends and apply on the affected area Contrast Fomentation (Hot and Cold).

Chew the food properly to improve digestion. Avoid excessive intake of beverages such as coffee and tea immediately after meal. It depends. If you are going for a smaller peg, 30 ml it will be. Whiskey in more quantity and many times a week is harmful, both with or without soda.
