How to relieve stress during break-up
And what are the important exercise to build up confidence rather than fuming?
lybrate-user breakup is a psychologically hard time for any body so I would suggest you to few tips which helps you in overcoming from your problem. 1- Accept what ever happened with you. 2- Try to develop some social support to system like contact your old friends, increase your sodial media presence, take interest in selfie and post it or try to communicate your problem with your parents if it's last long. 3 - Don't change your routine Life and try to manage time as you are managing previously. 4 - Increase your physical exercise or you may join gym too. 5- Try to write whatever happens with you and accept its as a experience in your life. This is all from my side and after all these if you still feel Stress than must consult any good psychologist and take individual Counseling atleast 3 months.

You could develop OCD but right now it is obsession and a fixation that just won? T leave you. Now you can get all these contaminated items cleaned, changed, or removed. But if your mind wants to obsess, it will find something or the other and it can easily and convincingly obsess about it, instead. You have a serious problem with unexpressed fear that is finding this form as a way of expressing it. The bottom line of the obsession is this fear. It has refined itself to hygiene aspects and worries itself about being infected. Meet with a counselor and discuss your fear, for a long time to come, going back into your childhood perhaps to trace its origins. You could also develop a checklist method of verifying that everything is really clean or that you are doing the right thing yourself to ensure that you are not contaminated. But this would mean that you really believe in your obsession! So please trust that, if you have been brought up normally, you have the immune system to combat most infections. The earlier you deal with this, the less complicated it will become over time.

I used to have anxiety in August month so it got resolved by Zapiz medications for 5-10 days and it got resolved for 2-3 months. Right now I am in Bangalore from few days I am having heart palpitations and back pain at a single point and having a little problem breathing and nausea too. I don’t worry a lot but when I go for interviews my heart beats very fast. Suggest me something to remove my anxiety permanently and should I take that zapiz 0.25 tablet again at night.

I used to have anxiety in August month so it got resolved by Zapiz medications for 5-10 days and it got resolved for ...
You seem to be having panic attacks. They could be secondary to performance anxiety. Zapiz medication is only used temporarily. It will not benefit you on long term. I advice you to consult a psychiatrist near by and get diagnosed. And you can take counselling / medication for some months that will greatly reduce the chances of further panic attacks. It’s not a major problem but ,the quicker you act the faster your issue will subside.

Hi, I am 27 years old. I am an advocate from past 1 & half year. I live in a joint family & everyday is hell because of my grandmother. Almost daily there is fight going on one or other issues. With every passing day conditions are getting worse. My family didn't wanted me to get into litigation, they wanted me to go for a govt job. I was not able to clear any exam. I failed in 10, 12 exams for govt job including for the post of civil judge. I still can't believe that I failed so many times. When I was in 11th. I tried to commit suicide because I was not able to clear one of my exam & from that time I never gained my confidence. My family is not allowing me to go for the job in law firm where i'l get good salary. I want to live separately from my family with my mom & sister and want to adopt 2 baby girls. Since my sister is in last year of college I don't want to disturb her studies that's why I am not moving out. I motivate myself everyday but I am becoming a pessimistic person. I have low self esteem, a lot of anger inside me cause of my family & I cry a lot almost daily. Now I have lost my vision as to how shall I proceed further. I am not happy both at professional & personal level & getting depressed day by day. Sometimes I feel like I won't be able to fulfill my dreams & will end up as unsuccessful person. When I sleep my body rests but my mind doesn't I never feel that I was sleeping. I want to take some drink or something so that for sometime I forget in which environment i'm living, what all i'm going through. Please help!

Hi, I am 27 years old. I am an advocate from past 1 & half year. I live in a joint family & everyday is hell because ...
You are into a depression and I don’t think the home scene is helping much. You must learn to close the past and relate to the future and present. In my opinion you are not ready to adopt and should first work on your issues. I suggest you meet with a counselor and perhaps a doctor too and deal with the depression. Do not discontinue the counseling even if you are put on medication. Your life is very precious and you should never attempt suicide at any time ever. I like that you are ambitious but you must also work at fulfilling them by reasonable means. The first thing to do is to get emotionally balanced. You have an anger-related depression and therefore if you learn how to express your anger much of the depression may reduce. I suggest you do the opposite of what this depression makes you feel like doing (actually, not doing): you will need to fight this condition. You must become active; stay upright during the daylight time; meet people; never sleep during the day, wake up by 6 am every day, play some active games, especially contact games, do physical exercises, talk to people and join some social clubs, attend Yoga classes etc. Watch sitcoms on TV or comedies and cheer yourself up. Go for excursions in groups, for outings, camps, conferences, and religious conventions. Get a pet dog and spend time training it, exercising it and relating to it. This is a better bet instead of adopting children. If you succeed in bring up the dog well then you may consider adopting. Expose yourself to some sunlight every day, at least 30 minutes but not in the scotching heat. Whatever happens, please incorporate these three important adaptations in your life: always be responsible, be respectful, and be functional. If you did these three, lots of things will go well in life. Please pray and have faith in God to alleviate your sufferings. Don’t wait for others to help. Use your own motivation, which might be at its lowest, but persevere and win this battle. Above all to be really happy, you need to live in love and for love. Learn all about emotions and how to handle them and that will get you out of the depression rather easily and quickly. A counselor is there only to facilitate you, all the hard word must come from you, and your cooperation with that person is very critical for your success. Be positive everyday and learn to be contended with what you have. Do some left brain exercises: it is the happy brain. Here are a few suggestions: shut your left nostril and breathe, move your eyes from right to left and vice versa for at least half a minute at a time, and do callisthenic exercises with some form of counting, regularly. Whatever happens please cooperate with the therapy and do not discontinue until the condition is completely resolved.

Dear user, You must be able to understand Concentration, attention span, recollection and distraction. If you are able to watch a movie for two hours continuously, if you are able to play a game for an hour, then you do not have any concentration problems. You can't be attentive towards your studies because you are not interested in it. You are able to watch movie and play game because you are interested in it. Human cannot be attentive towards anything for more than 10 minutes. Then you should study in such a way that your attention is continued and make the subjects are interesting to you. Effective learning techniques should help you. Recollection depends on anxiety, stress and other physical and circumstantial factors. Distractions while studying are plentiful. You should be able to overcome distractions or avoid distractions. Please understand the above. Change your study style and attitude accordingly. Please post a private question to me and I will help you with "effective learning" techniques. Avocados, Beetroots, Blueberries, Broccoli. Celery, Coconut Oil, Dark Chocolate etc are good for improving concentration. Take care.

I lost somebody close last year and since feel very depressed and prefer keeping to myself all the time please help me.
It is natural to feel low and miss the person you have lost. However if it is interfering with your sleep, studies or general well being, or if you feel suicidal, you need to consult a psychiatrist. It is common to feel low, cry, feel like you are alone, or lose your self confidence. Usually time is the best healer. However if things are too difficult to handle you should talk to a psychiatrist or counselor. Confide in someone close to you, who will support you in this difficult time. Don't cut off from friends or family, even if you feel like you want to be alone. You can contact me for further help, if required.

Causes and Symptoms of Parkinson's Disease

IFAANS, DNB (Neurosurgery), MBBS
Neurosurgeon, Ghaziabad
Causes and Symptoms of Parkinson's Disease

Parkinson's disease is a neurodegenerative condition that affects your brain cells which produce dopamine and thus hampering all kinds of motor functioning and other emotional responses. After the disease is diagnosed, medication and therapy can help to provide relief from the symptoms to a large extent but a permanent cure is not possible.

Causes:

The disorder does not have a definite set of causes. A small percentage of the cases have been related to hereditary factors and others have a range of environmental causes associated with them.

1. Genetic factors:

Specific gene mutations and gene variations have been proved to cause Parkinson's, such as SNCA, PARK2, PARK7, PINK1 and LRRK2. These make or recycle proteins which are linked to the disease.

Research shows that men are at a 1.75 times greater risk of developing the condition than women are. Also, age plays a role with most cases occurring after the age of 60.

2. Environmental factors:

Regular exposure to inorganic insecticides, pesticides, herbicides and heavy metals or other toxins may cause the disorder. In rare cases, Parkinson's disease occurs in the aftermath of a severe head injury or immune disorders.

Symptoms:

The symptoms can be classified into two broad categories-

1. Motor symptoms:

  • The hand tremors when in resting position
  • The grip loosens
  • Walking slows down
  • Facial muscles freeze partially
  • Speech is slurred
  • Balance is disturbed
  • Swallowing is painful
  • Urination is abnormally frequent
  • Dementia-like symptoms are seen
  • There is involuntary twitching of the fingers and toes
  • Repetition of the same movement in quick succession is nearly impossible

2. Non-motor symptoms:

Is it ok if person smokes as well as does enough physical work normal for his health?

MBBS, MD - Psychiatry

Is it ok if person smokes as well as does enough physical work normal for his health?
Smoking is associated with significantly serious health problems like lung cancer, oral cancer, impotence, etc. The risk of cancer is even higher in those with family history of smoking. Smoking also causes harm to people around you as they become passive smokers. The best thing is to quit smoking immediately to promote good health. There is no connection between exercise and smoking; exercise will not reverse the harmful effects of smoking.

How can I increase my memory. I forget things after some time. Please suggest me.

Reparenting Technique, BA, BEd
Psychologist, Bangalore
Natural concentration is when the mind can hold a thought for a long time, when thoughts are under our own control. Without concentration the mind goes here, there and everywhere, jumping like a monkey from branch to branch, idea to idea. When there is a natural concentration, we can control our mind and there is peace. This one-pointed concentration on a thought, holding it for as long as we like, gradually collects strength in the mind and in the self. A strong mind is a mind that is peaceful, stable, satisfied and can remain in the deeper meaning of a thought. There is no waste caused by over-thinking, or the high speed of thought: These are the two greatest diseases of the mind these days, which is why there is so much stress and mental breakdown. Stress can foil concentration and learning ability. Although concentration is different to memory, they can affect each other. Concentration precedes memory. If you are under stress your concentration will go for a toss, then naturally memory will be totally foiled. So meet with a counselor to take care of the stress and your memory will happily return. You can follow these simple rules in the meantime: Have a good night’s sleep, have a good breakfast of more proteins, meditate often, remain free of stress, eat a lot of fiber, nuts, avocado, exercise regularly, eat dark chocolate, do Yoga meditation exercises, etc. You need to check out if you are stronger visual or auditory. The visual is a better mode than the auditory. However, if you combine the two modes, you will get the best concentration. Short-term memory is a faculty of the left brain, and long-term memory is a feature of the right brain. When people are stressed, they tend to favor the right brain and abandon the left brain, where short-term memory resides. So, it is really very simple: deal with the stress and activate left brain functions. Here are a few suggestions to activate left brain function: shut your left nostril and breathe, move your eyes from right to left and vice versa for at least half a minute at a time, and do callisthenic exercises with some form of counting, regularly. There is a new exercise called Super Brain Yoga, which is done by holding the right earlobe with your left thumb and index finger, and the left earlobe with your right hand’s thumb and index finger. In this position you must squat down and rise up and do this for five minutes every day. If your home life is full of distractions and stress, it is likely to affect your memory, adversely. In that case, I suggest that the family goes for counseling. The following foods do help too: Blueberries, walnuts, turmeric, Spinach, tomatoes, broccoli, acorn squash, green tea, oily fish, boiled egg, turkey, apples, oatmeal, leafy greens, lentils, pumpkin seeds, avocado, cinnamon, thyme, sunflower seeds, and red wine.

It is never advisable to take medicine right away for feeling low without consulting psychologist or psychiatrist. Many times these feeling low. Is part of life's normal ups and downs and we all have ability to bounce back. So I would suggest you to talk to a professional adviser first. If yoh would like to try something on your own then exercise is the number one mood lifter. Physical activity at least 30 minutes a day will help you change the chemical imbalance and lift your mood. You may also try simple meditation or chanting etc for 5 minutes daily. Engaging yourself in music either playing music or listening to music, reading a good book, gardening, coloring those adult color books etc will also help. Do let me know if I can help you in any way. Hope this helps wishing you very best.

General Physician,
I can give you study tips to study well. 10 Study Tips to Improve Your Learning Study Tip 1: Underlining Underlining is one of the simplest and best known study tips. It’s easy to highlight the most significant parts of what you’re reading. One key sentence per paragraph and a few important phrases here and there. You can only retain a certain amount so it’s best to retain the most important information. Study Tip 2: Make your own note and taking notes is one of the most widespread study skills out there. Essentially the aim of note-taking is to summarise lectures or articles in your own words so you can easily remember the ideas. Study Tip 3: Mind mapping A good Mind map can save you many hours of study and further consolidate your knowledge for your exams. Mind Maps are an extremely versatile tools. They can be used for brainstorming, outlining essays or study topics and for general exam preparation, ExamTime offers the ability to create Mind Maps quickly and easily which makes them the ideal tool when it comes to exams. Study Tip 4: Flash cards:- Using these are a particularly effective method of learning when trying to assimilate different facts, dates, formulas or vocabulary. Subjects such as History, Physics, Maths, Chemistry, Geography or any language are made much easier if you incorporate Flashcards in to your study. Study Tip 5: Case Studies Sometimes it can be difficult to grasp the implications of some theories. This is where studying case studies can be a big help. Case studies can help you visualise a theory and place it in a more familiar and realistic context. This is especially useful in business or law subjects. Study Tip 6: Quizzes are an excellent way to review study notes in the weeks and days before an exam. Quizzes can show where your strengths and weaknesses are, so it allows you to focus your efforts more precisely. Moreover, if you share your Study Quiz with your classmates and test each other as much as possible you can discover even more details and areas you may have overlooked. So before any exam, make sure you create and share a bunch of different Quizzes with your Friends. Study Tip 7: Brainstorming This is another study technique that is ideal for studying with friends and/or classmates. Brainstorming is a great way to expand every possible idea out of any topic. Just get a bunch of friends together and shoot the breeze, there are no wrong answers when brainstorming – just talk and capture the ideas, you can review afterward. Study Tip 8: Mnemonic Rules Mnemonics are especially useful when memorising lists and sets. Mnemonics rules basically work by associating certain concepts with other concepts that are more familiar to us. There are many different ways to make mnemonics and these can be individual to the person. Study Tip 9: ORGANISE your study One of the most effective study skills is also one of the most often overlooked; this is organising your study. Creating a TIME TABLE gives you goals and a time in which to achieve them. Having a study timetable as you study is greatly motivational Study Tip 10: Drawing Many people find it easier to recall images rather than text that is why they are better able to memorise concepts if they associate them with pictures or drawings.
