Our Daily energy requirements for proper functioning of our body is 1600-2200 K cal of Energy if we want to remain fit and healthy.But there is a misconception that weight is reduced by dieting.But weight is not reduced by only skipping our meals or prohibition from sugars but until we are not aware what are our body energy requirements ,it will be difficult to loose weight.If we restrict ourself from taking daily diet to 1100-1200 Kcalories ,and increases our workouts,only then we can think about reducing our weight and for that we must obtain proper knowledge of exact energy levels in a particular dish we are eating,only then we can achieve our target of reducing weight by means of simple mathematical calculation. Hye. Thanks for ghe query. Hiccups are involuntary contractions of the diaphragm — the muscle that separates your chest from your abdomen and plays an important role in breathing. Each contraction is followed by a sudden closure of your vocal cords, which produces the characteristic" hic" sound. Sometimes we face a bout of hiccups. It can be irritating, may disturb our concentration or just plain tire us. Most common reasons for hiccups are- -Stretching of the stomach after eating or drinking  -Sudden emotional excitement -Sudden change of air temperature (eg. Cool shower) -Very hot/cold food or drink -A large meal -Alcohol or excess smoking. Here are some remedies you can try out to stop the hiccups. - Cinnamon powder is an effective remedy for hiccups. Boil 1 ½ cups of water and add a teaspoon of freshly ground cardamom powder in it. Allow the liquid to cool and then strain the liquid and drink. This remedy helps the muscles of the diaphragm to relax and this will stop your hiccups. - Chew and suck on a piece of fresh ginger. - Place a teaspoon of sugar below your tongue and let it gradually melt. This is a good remedy for kids who won't try the other methods. -Drink a glass full of iced water. This sudden strong temperature can help the diaphragm muscles to relax. If the hiccups persist for more than 3-4 hour, you need to see your physician to detect other more serious underlying medical conditions.

Dear lybrate-user, Here are tips to increase potassium levels. Eat atleast two fruits a day, as fruits are good source of potassium. Include 200 ml og curds a day. Include green leafy vegetables on a daily basis. Include dal on a daily basis. Dark chocolate, coffee, jaggery, mushroom are other food that can be included to boost potassium. Prevent yourself fron diarrhoea and do not take diuretics, as they increase the excretion of potassium. Take care. Warm Regards, Uma.

Yes it is alright to take isabgol as it is only husk. However it is better to get regular motion daily by drinking 3-4 liters of water, having a high fiber diet and exercise. If you have any further query please ask.

i think your posture may be the problem. check your posture: *both shoulders are at level. *both elbows are at level. *your hip curves at level. *the gap between your hanging upper limb and hip curves are equal. *your knees at level. * your ankle joint is at level. * your feet placed properly at ground with V shape. it should be done before mirror. then monitor your walking style: * bending to one side. *placing irregular steps with irregular length. if not try to correct the wrong segment. if everything is correct, consult a qualified physiotherapist for more findings.
