Home remedies for back pain

1. Tie a cup of uncooked rice inside a cloth and heat it for 30 to 60 seconds on the microwave in low setting. Then keep this on the back for relief.

2. Take fresh ginger into pieces, place in the cup of water and boil it for 30 minutes in low flame. Cool for 30 minutes after boiling. Consume this solution with honey.

Consult for Ayurveda tips and treatment.

1. Take a plastic bag with few crushed ice cubes and place it on the painful area.

2. Massage the painful back with castor oil.

3. Consume warm water mixed with 1 tablespoon of honey.

4. Mix equal quantities of cuscus grass and sugar then consume 5 grams of it twice a day with warm milk.

5. Soak wheat along with 1/2 quantity of cuscus grass is mixed with 1/2 quantity of coriander. Mix it with boiled milk 4 times of that wheat. When the milk is left 2/3 of the original quantity then consume it.

6. Take warm water in bath tub and soak in it for some time.

7. Massage with garlic and eucalyptus oil on the painful area.

8. Take 8 to 10 glasses of water daily.

9. Increase the consumption of Vitamin C in diet.

You should take bed rest plenty of oral fluid and paracetamol tablets 500 mg 3 times a day for 2-3 days. If no relief see your doctor.

Backaches in your age is mostly mechanical pain. If the pain is not radiating to your thigh or leg then it can be effectively treated by a course of Analgesics and Back and abdominal muscle strengthening exercises. Hot water fomentation and analgesic gel will also help. Please consult with X Rays if symptoms persist

Do contrast bath therapy Take hot water in one bowl & cold water in another bowl. First dip your hand in hot water for 3min then in cold water for 1min, keep repeating for 20min, twice daily. Finger splints are available, stationary splint will give your finger complete rest whether with dynamic one you can do work as well

Hello lybrate-user, pain in leg is common at all ages. There are various causes of leg pain- cramps muscle spasm muscle fatigue nutritional deficiencies dehydration standing for long hours injuries medical conditions like arthritis, gout, dvt, restless leg syndrome, varicose veins, etc. One should try and find out the real cause of it for early treatment and control. Some temporary relief majors are - # ice fomentation - if leg pain is due to physical exertion or fresh injury. You can do it with an ice pack or put ice cubes in a normal plastic bag or zip lock bag n then cover this with a piece of cotton cloth for fomentation. # hot fomentation with hot water andhalf cup of epsom salt. It is a muscle relaxant and regulate nerve signals. Massage with hot oil is also relaxing. Regular exercise will also help. Advice on calcium intake is possible only after detail case history. Calf Stretches Standing calf stretch Stand away from a wall and.put your fight foot behind you and be sure your toes are facing forward. Lean forward at the ankle while bending the right knee and keeping your heel on the ground. Hold this for 30 to 60 seconds. Repeat 10 times a twice a day.

IN HYPOTHYROIDISM:--- where there is deficiency of thyroxine hormone leading to sluggishness, tired feeling, weight increase, slow heart beats, intolerance to cold, swelling of legs, feet and face, difficulty in concentrating and at times in speech. Treatment for hypothyroidism is giving thyroxine tablets. And dose are according to level of thyroid for life time. Avoid bad habits . Avoid stress. Some Relax during work. Go for walk, Take plenty of water, high-carbohydrate foods such as potatoes, rice, pasta and bread. Nutrient-rich foods that improve your health may also benefit your thyroid gland, antioxidant-rich fruits and vegetables more plenty of water: Blueberries, tomatoes, bell peppers, and other foods rich in antioxidants can improve overall health and benefit the thyroid gland. Eating foods high in B vitamins, like whole grains, may also help. flax oil, Selenium: Tiny amounts of selenium are needed for enzymes that make thyroid hormones to work properly. Eating selenium-rich foods, such as sunflower seeds or Brazil nuts, can be beneficial. Tyrosine: This amino acid is used by the thyroid gland to produce T3 and T4. Taking a supplement may help, avoid oily foods,junk foods, go for walk. Do Tests every 3 to 6 months. And consult doctor on time.
