Certain medications such as oral contraceptives, anti-depressants, and certain heart medicines, can affect your periodontal health. It is important to inform your dental care provider of any medications you are taking, as they could potentially be a risk factor for developing gum disease.

You shouldn't take more antioxidants in the form of fruits mostly juicy fruits like orange musammi pineapple grapes which are the seasonal fruits are always available. Apart from this you should take antioxidants capsules containing lycopene Alpha tocopherol and beta carotene because it is a good combination for treating the Oral Submucous Fibrosis and other oral cavity problems consisting of mucosa. Moreover you can use black tea which is the best antioxidant available at home and apply some turmeric powder to your inner aspect of the cheek.

If you leave the edentulous space as it is there is a chance of you getting a pathological migration which is drifting of the adjacent teeth in the area of lost tooth. It is better to replace with either an implant or a fixed prosthesis.

Hi lybrate-user, teeth that assume a new position under the force of braces have a tendency to move back to their original position with time. To prevent this, after fixed braces have played their role, patients are provided with a temporary/removable appliance that serves to strengthen the bone and helps teeth be in their newly acquired position. It appears that you have not worn your retentive appliances (the temporary appliance) regularly.

We need more investigations with clinical examination to decide upon treatment. You may need deep cleaning along with surgical curettage or gum strengthening procedure. Rinse your mouth thoroughly with a mouth wash after every meals. Use pepsodent tooth paste & gum paint for 2 to 3 weeks.
