Do brisk walk and strach exercise daily. Do surya namskar daily. Take luke warm water with lemon juice early morning empty stomach. Take luke warm water before nd after meal. Avoid sugar, potatoes, white rice, mango, fried food, junk foods.

I m type 2 diabetic. I take glimperide metaformin 0.5/500. After meal my sugar level gets normal after 2 and a half hour. Is it OK. Also I have lost too much weight. What should I do to regain it

Its important to follow a healthy lifestyle to lose fat .As fat loss is a gradual process. There is no quick fix approach. Following a healthy diet which has optimal amounts of first class proteins (dairy products, eggs, chicken etc) reduced carbohydrates (white rice, poha etc) & healthy fats (almonds, walnuts etc) along with a structured exercise program that is balanced with weight training and cardio will surely help. You cannot target specific areas, fat is lost uniformly, but it may appear to go faster from the areas where you store less than the problem areas. Be consistent and patient. Since my glucose level corrected to 100 and 140. Also Hb1Ac is 5.8 and serum creatinine is 1.08 endocrinologist asked me to stop the medicine. Continuing diet and exercise. Daily 2 hour exercise leading to low sugar at 12 am. So I reduced my exercise to one hour to avoid low sugar. My age is 64. Can I take little extra diet or reduce my exercise. Pl give some ideas.

Hi, Eat small frequent meals. Take a fruit or a glass's of milk at 11 am so that you don't go for low sugar at 12noon. Time your food every two hours. Eat little by little. Include protein rich snack like Sprouts, boiled grams, grilled Paneer (made from skim milk), grilled mushrooms, roasted legumes. Regards
