Removable braces (clip) can do only minor dental movements. Teeth rotations n major tooth movements can best b achieved with fixed braces n would require about 14-18 months fr completion. Cost depends upon the dentist n location of clinic. Fixed braces costs 18000 inr onwards.

Thank you for the query. Computer programmers are very prone to develop a condition called Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. This occurs due to compression of a nerve called median nerve as it passes through a tunnel in your wrist (carpal tunnel). The main symptoms are pain, numbness and tingling, in the thumb, index finger, middle finger, and the thumb side of the ring fingers. The symptoms may be worse at night. Clinical examination and nerve conduction velocity test confirms the diagnosis. However, other causes like degenerative wrist joint changes and tendinitis may also be a cause. Please get a X ray of the wrist joint done (AP and lateral). It is difficult to comment on the exact cause without examining. I would suggest you to consult an orthopaedic surgeon. Meanwhile you can take Calcium supplements and apply ice pack locally.

Dear Lybrateuser, give rest to the part, do not bend, lift weight or exercise till pain subsides - do hot fomentation of the area twice a day - apply pain relief gel lightly three times a day on affected area - take a pain relief tablet after meals.

Hi, I am 30 years old and I have knee joints pain since last 8 months. The pain starts the moment I start running or put some stress on my knees by excercise. This pain started when I joined gym and started running on treadmill. Please help me to cure this problem. Many thanks in advance for help.

It is called muscle cramps. In such case I would advise you to take some precautions and start taking the physio treatment to get it completely cured. Take some alum mix in hot water and take fermentation thrice a day along with calf stretching and strengthening exercises. Make a habit of brisk walking daily for 20-25 min atleast. This will give you some percent of relief. Start exercises one or two days after hot fermentation do no start immediately. Make sure not to sit in one position for long time with knee bending. Avoid prolong standing as gravity creates a downward flow so you may face pain. So avoid against gravity positions. Using your thumb massage your calf area as it will increase pump action and release all toxins from your body by reducing pain and gives you relaxation for any doubt please contact. Regards.

You need to do regular stretching exs specific for the tight muscles in your back, hamstrings and calf muscles. Also core stability exercises can help strengthen you back and abdominals so the degeneration stay in control and does not progress. A customize exercise plan can help keep your pain symptoms in control.

Hello, Lybrate user, She should consult a physiotherapist apart from medication, please. Give her homoeo medicine:@ Colchicum 1000-6 pills, wkly. Should drink lukewarm water. Her diet be easily digestible on time. Avoid, cold intake, dust ,jerks, lifting weight. Report fortnightly. Tk, care.

To remain healthy and Fit ,you should follow 3 steps in your life 1.BALANCED DIET 2.EARLY MORNING BRISK MORNING WALK for 30 minutes and 10 minutes evening walk after Dinner 3.DRINK 6-8 Glasse of water daily. As 60% of our body is made of water, it acts as a carrier of essential nutrients inside our body. Loosing as little as 5% of body's weight as water can cause headache, fatigue and lower your muscle strength. To stay healthy, an adult should drink at least 8 glasses of water everyday. Balanced Diet= 60% Carbohydrates + 20% Fats + 20% Proteins 1. Carbohydrates: Our main source of energy. Stored in liver and muscles. Carbohydrates are used the most by our body duringexercise. Hence, it is important for people who exercise regularly to consume a diet rich in carbohydrates. (a) Instant/rapid carbohydrates energy sources: Banana, Milk, Sweets, Sugarcane juice. (b) Slow carbohydrates energy sources: Beans, Bread, Cereals, Potato, Pulses, Rice. 2. Proteins: Essential for growth, repair of muscle, skin, hair and body tissues. Hello. Maintain a right standing and sitting posture, keep your back always straight, avoid carrying weight on back. Hold or carry weight divided equally in both the hands or shoulders (to avoid over straining on one particular hand or shoulder). Lie down on bed on your back without pillow. Exercise: Practice Shavasana or Corpse Pose as it looks like a dead body. If practiced correctly and with full efforts, can relax every body part, relaxing not only the body but also the mind: Spread the legs one to two feet apart, the toes are turned outwards, the heels facing each other, a comfortable distance apart. Bring the arms a little away from the body, palms turned upward. Relax the neck and allow it to turn to the side if it is more comfortable. Close the eyes and focus the attention on the body, breathing normally. Medication: Take homoeopathic medicines - Arnica 200 and Rhus Tox. 200 - take both of them thrice daily for 1 week. Also, apply Schwabe's Topi-Arnica and Topi MP Gel on the affected area in circular motions gently thrice a day. Get back to me thereafter.

You should prefer Homeopathic medicines....surgery is the last option. Give her Mag Phos 12 x - thrice daily for next 2 weeks. DO give hot and cold compress alternately for acute pain when required. For further queries get back to me.

Use lumbar belt for transportation time only otherwise it may reduce your strength of back muscle. Do regular stretching and strengthening exercises under close observation of physiotherapist only. You may also take electro modalities therapy by physiotherapist with his therapy protocol. Not to worry about this problem. It can be treated conservatively too.
