I have a spiltants and hairfall in my young age it self I am having an white hair can you please sugest me in this case.
1.Use amla (gooseberry) juice on scalp and also to drink. 2.Mix curry leaves with coconut oil and heat up and let it cool. Wheat Germ oil to massage your head at night. You can also put some fenugreek powder in the oil, heat the oil a bit and apply it on scalp for hairfall, whitening and dandruff. 3.Apply hair packs like Egg with Yogurt, Banana. 4.Have lots of green leafy vegetables and fruits rich in Vitamin C. 5.Protein is the most important element for maintaining hair health. Make sure your diet in protein rich sources like eggs, fish, chicken, soyabean, sprouts, pulses and grains 6.Zinc, iron & copper promote healthy hair. Some sources of this are – eggs, whole grains, all types of seeds like flaxseed, sesame seeds, sunflower seeds, Dry fruits and nuts etc.

Do daily massage over head with medicated oil,Take proper diet, stress free life, keep cows ghee in regular diet, take milk & milk products daily,take seasonable fruits, green vegetables, dry fruits, calcium & protein rich food, do regular exercise, yoga ,pranayam daily, take proper care of hairs during travelling, avoid excessive use of shampoo,hair conditioners, avoid excessive salt intake, dry foods,chilled water, oily,spicy ,fast,bakery foods,food/water kept in fridge, excessive tea,coffee,cold drinks, hot drinks, preserved food,canned food,tobacco,smoking,alcohol etc.if any of these addiction... I'm unmarried and my weight has gone up to 80kgs and my age was 31. I have irregular menstrual problem and my doctor declared that I have a PCOD. Doctor suggests me to use Bigomet 1000mg & All9 pills until I got a pregnancy. So I would like to reduce my weight. Now i'm taking my diet, Yoga, walking half an hour, 17mins cycling and also I started to go slim clinic to reduce 20kgs weight. In my diet, I can't take green tea due to ginger& garlic flavour added. Due to that i'm getting allergy and getting itching & pimples.(Recently I had a skin problem) So can you suggest me which foods that I reduce heavy weight loss through foods & drinks. How many litres of water should I drink for a day? please help me out.

You need to have diet plan based on your BMI & activities. Whatever we eat is metabolised by the body for the energy needed to do daily work and the excess is stored as fat. Abdomen is the first place to gain weight and last to disappear. In brief, Weight reduction can be achieved only by reducing the intake of food 1/3 of what you take now. And by appropriate exercise plans for each part like belly, thighs, legs / chest etc. to burn off fat. Some tips 1) Drink three or four cups of water whenever you feel hungry and just before eating food 2) Take boiled or raw vegetable like cucumber, carrot etc. as half of your diet. Then take 1/2 of your total diet as sprouted pulses / proteinaceous food like roti, cooked pulses and remaining with rice or other carbohydrates. Oil or ghee etc. should be just bare minimum. And do aerobic exercises, running, jogging or at least walking briskly 3-5 KMs and swimming if possible, and in a gym if feasible. The most important is to burn off the energy intake by exercises. There is no short cut or medicines without exercise & dieting to take just as mush food as needed for your activities. The food we eat is utilised for our energy needs and the remaining will be stored as fat which leads to obesity. It is better to do some tests. A DIET CHART Timing Foods To Eat Calories Early Morning Lukewarm Water with Lemon 1 glass 0 Tea without Sugar + 2 Biscuits 90 Breakfast 2 Rotis + 1/2 cup Paneer Curry 330 OR Brown Bread Upma 1 plate + Milk 1 cup 300 Mid-Morning 1 Banana/1/2 cup Melon/20 Grapes 50 Lunch Brown Rice 1 cup (195 gm) + Mixed Vegetables 1/2 cup + Salad 1 bowl + Raita 1 small bowl 345 Evening Butter Milk 1 cup 35 Dinner 2 Rotis + Vegetable Soup 1 bowl + Salad 1 bowl 370 Total 1220/1190 Cal YOu have to drink 2-3 liters of water and boiled water is enough

hello poonam...both things are important for reducing belly fat ..1st its 30 to 45 minute cardeo exercises preferable brisk walking and 2nd its taking healthy nutritive diet.. drink warm water with lemon and honey early in the morning.. dinner it should be light maximum till 8 pm.. maximum intake of water and green tea.. avoid fatty refined processed food...

People who have diabetes know the disease can harm the eyes, nerves, kidneys, heart and other important systems in the body. Did you know diabetes can also cause problems in your mouth?

People with diabetes are at special risk for periodontal (gum) disease, an infection of the gum and bone that hold the teeth in place. Periodontal disease can lead to painful chewing difficulties and even tooth loss. Dry mouth, often a symptom of undetected diabetes, can cause soreness, ulcers, infections, and tooth decay. Smoking makes these problems worse.

Q. What can I do?

1. Good blood glucose control - people with poor blood glucose control get gum disease more often and more severely than people whose diabetes is well controlled.

2. Daily brushing and flossing

Q. What happens if I have plaque?

Plaque that is not removed hardens over time into tartar and collects above your gum line. Tartar makes it more difficult to brush and clean between your teeth. Your gums become red and swollen, and bleed easily—signs of unhealthy or inflamed gums, called gingivitis.

When gingivitis is not treated, it can advance to gum disease called periodontitis. In periodontitis, the gums pull away from the teeth and form spaces, called pockets, which slowly become infected. This infection can last a long time. Your body fights the bacteria as the plaque spreads and grows below the gum line. Both the bacteria and your body’s response to this infection start to break down the bone and the tissue that hold the teeth in place. If periodontitis is not treated, the gums, bones, and tissue that support the teeth are destroyed. Teeth may become loose and might need to be removed. 

Q. How will I know if I have mouth problems from diabetes?

Meet your dentist
Some of the first signs of gum disease are swollen, tender, or bleeding 

You may need to postpone any nonemergency dental work if your blood glucose is not under control.

Q. How does smoking affect my mouth?

 Smoking raises your chances of getting gum disease, oral and throat cancers, and oral fungal infections. Smoking also discolors your teeth and makes your breath smell bad.

Q. How can I keep my mouth healthy?

Follow these steps:

1. Keep your blood glucose numbers as close to your target as possible. 

2. Eat healthy meals and follow the meal plan that you and your doctor or dietitian have worked out.

3. Brush your teeth at least twice a day with fluoride toothpaste. Fluoride protects against tooth decay. Aim for brushing first thing in the morning, before going to bed, and after each meal and sugary or starchy snack.

4. Use a soft toothbrush. Gently brush your teeth with the toothbrush angled towards the gum line. Use small, circular motions. Brush the front, back, and top of each tooth. Brush your tongue, too.

5. Change your toothbrush every 3 months or sooner if the toothbrush looks worn or the bristles spread out. A new toothbrush removes more plaque.

6. Use fluoride mouth rinse to prevent tooth decay.

7. Use dental floss to clean between your teeth at least once a day. Flossing helps prevent plaque from building up on your teeth.

8. Use a dental pick or brush—thin tools designed to clean between the teeth. 

9. See your dentist twice a year for a cleaning and checkup. 
Your dentist may suggest more visits if you need them.Follow your dentist’s advice. If your dentist tells you about a problem, take care of it.

start with any exercise. take banana and milk with honey in the morning include milk and dairy products in your diet. egg is also a good source of protein. take seasonal fruits and vegetables. try to have more of liquids and juices in your diet.

I am in fever for 15 days before dr. Advised for widal test it says s. Typhi -o and s. Typhi h positive I consulting dr. And taken medicine I m now ok but sometimes not feeling well what can I do ?

It can take time to recover from fatigue after typhoid. Nothing to worry about. Take as much rest as you can and drink plenty of fluids.

I am 24 years unmarried woman. I have pcod problem since my period has started. I had taken the medicine dronis 20 and 30 for 1 years and many hormonal med has taken. But none of these had regulate my period. If I don't take the med than my period comes in 2 se 3 mnth. That is too long. Usually I don't wait for the same and I take the tablet MEPRATE to occur period. Kindly suggest me what I can do for this problem. I have consulted so many Dr. But they always put me on the med. None of them is beneficial for me. Kindly suggest what I should do now so that my problem resolve. Pls help. :-(

Dear lybrate user, don't worry abt pcod. Change ur life style, diet and it ll come down. Morning walk, walking bare foot on grass helps. Avoid oily, spicy, fried, junk food. Eat seasonable fresh fruits. Take adequate rest. Stress and strain of any type_mental, emotional, physical leads to these type of diseases. Hi Sudhir., most hair loss is not associated with systemic or internal disease, nor is poor diet a frequent factor. Hair may simply thin as a result of predetermined genetic factors and the overall aging process. Several health conditions, including thyroid disease, iron deficiency anaemia, protein deprivation (during diet, and hormonal changes may cause reversible hair loss. Dos:- 1. Regular oiling is basic step, use brihat bringaraja taila of guduchi pharmacy every alternate days. 2. Preferably use Guduchi Anti Hairfall shamppo or natural wash, blot your hair with towel n donnot rub. 3.Tab Abhra loha-1tab twice aday after food. Hello, only tkg of rich food will not suffice your need. To gain weight & energy you need to follow the under noted tips. Hello. One can increase your stamina by including a well-balanced diet by adding low-fat products, plenty of fruits and vegetables and lean meat. So,increase intake of healthy food (food having anti-oxidants like green vegetables, nuts, salads, fruits, fish, green tea; food rich in calcium like milk & milk products; flaxseeds, poppyseeds), avoid alcohol & smoking, drink lots of water (10-12 glasses per day), take sufficient sleep (6-9hrs per day), avoid taking unnecessary stress/ tension, sports like football, basketball and all other sprinting games will help strengthen your heart so that more oxygen reaches all parts of your body, include cardiovascular exercises like running, swimming, jumping etc. and exercise daily for 30-45 minutes (brisk walk is the best exercise to increase the circulation of the whole body), later you can increase the duration as per your stamina. (Do the above slowly and gradually). Medication: Take Schwabe's Alfaalfa Tonic and Five Phos./ thrice a day daily for 4 weeks.

Using a moisturizer greatly reduces the chances of split ends and promotes hair growth by diminishing breakage. However, to avoid overtly oily hair, use only a little moisturizer or try lubricating your hair a couple of hours before hair wash. Moisturized hair will attract dust if you go out.

There are urine pregnancy test kits available in the chemist shops you can get one like preg antes and get her urine tested and if it is positive then you will have yo get an abortion done from a gynaecologist or take medicine to abort.

Cough is a symptom of several diseases like allergy, asthma, chest infection, worm infestation etc to name a few. It cause chest pain, fracture of ribs, and very forcible coughs can cause giddiness, and hernias if cough is chronic. Heat stroke is due to exposure to high temperatures for example standing in hot climates for a few minutes to hours. You may experience tiredness, giddiness etc.

सायटिका (Sciatica)

चलने का नाम ही जीवन है, परंतु कुछ रोग ऐसे हैं, जिसमें रोगी का चलना फिरना दुर्लभ हो जाता है और वह दूसरों की तरफ सहायता के लिए दयनीय भाव से देखता रहता है। ऐसा ही एक रोग है ''सायटिका”, जिसमें जब मनुष्य को असहनीय दर्द होता है तो वह ईश्वर से मृत्यु तक की प्रार्थना करता है।

इस रोग का अधिक परिचय देने की आवश्यकता नहीं सामान्यत: सभी इस नाम से परिचित रहते हैं। यह कमर से निकलने वाली सायटिका नाड़ी (नर्व) की सूजन अथवा इस पर किसी प्रकार का दबाव पडऩे से यह दर्द उत्पन्न होता है, जो कि कमर से लेकर पुट्ठे (Buttock) से होता हुआ टांग के पिछले हिस्से से पैर के अंगूठे तक जाता है तथा इस दर्द के साथ ही प्राय: रोगी को सुन्नता अथवा सुई चुभने जैसी पीड़ा होती है। यह दोनों टांगों में हो सकती है, परंतु प्राय: एक ही तरफ के रोगी अधिक मिलते हैं। इस विशेष प्रकार के दर्द के कारण सामान्य व्यक्ति भी कह देता है कि यह सायटिका का दर्द है। इस दर्द से रोगी को न बैठने से राहत मिलती है, न चलने से और न ही लेटने से आराम मिलता है। इसलिए रोगी बैचेन होकर कभी लेटता है, कभी उठता है, कभी चलता है तो कभी बैठता है, परंतु उसे दर्द से राहत नहीं मिलती तथा फिर इस दर्द के डर से रोगी मानसिक तनाव में आने लगता है, जिससे इस तनाव से दर्द और बढ़ जाता है। इस प्रकार रोगी को दर्द के डर से तनाव और तनाव से फिर दर्द, इस प्रकार दोनों ही बढ़ते चले जाते हैं।

दर्द के इसी डर से रोगी चलते समय एक विशेष प्रकार की चाल से चलने लगता है, जो गिद्ध (गृघ्र - Vulture) की चाल जैसी होती है, इसलिए आयुर्वेद में इस रोग को “गृघ्रसी” कहा जाता है। आयुर्वेद के अनुसार वात दोष के प्रकोपक विभिन्न प्रकार के आहार-विहार के कारण यह रोग होता है। आयुर्वेद के प्राय: सभी ग्रंथों में इसकी विभिन्न प्रकार की चिकित्सा का वर्णन है, जिसमें विभिन्न प्रकार की औषधियों के साथ ही रक्त मोक्षण का भी उल्लेख मिलता है।

चक्र दत्त के ग्रंथ में पारिजात (हारसिंगार) पत्र के क्वाथ का वर्णन किया गया है। इसी उल्लेख के आधार पर हमने पारिजात, जिसे शेफालिका या हारसिंगार भी कहते हैं तथा जिसका वैज्ञानिक नाम Nyctanthes arbortristin है, के पत्रों का क्वाथ बना कर १८ रोगियों को एक माह तक प्रयोग करवाया, जिसके परिणाम निम्र रहे-

१. १८ रोगियों में से अधिकांश की आयु ४० वर्ष से कम थी।

२. महिला तथा पुरुषों में यह सामान्य रूप से पाया गया।

३. गरीब वर्ग के व्यक्तियों में यह रोग कुछ अधिक पाया गया।

४. शहर की तुलना में ग्रामीण क्षेत्र के रोगी कुछ अधिक पाये गये।

५. नौ महिला रोगियों में से सात गृहणियाँ थीं।

६. लगभग ९० (नब्बे) प्रतिशत रोगी हिन्दू पाये गये।

७. रोग के कारण को देखा जाय तो १८ में से ३ रोगियों के गिरने से चोट लगने के बाद, दो रोगियों को भारी वजन उठाने के कारण तथा नौ महिलाओं में से तीन को सामान्य प्रसव के पश्चात भी यह रोग हो गया।

८. एक माह तक पत्तों का क्वाथ पिलाने पर लगभग ८० प्रतिशत रोगियों को विभिन्न लक्षणों में लाभ देखा गया।

इसी प्रकार हमने कई अन्य रोगियों में विभिन्न वात शामक आयुर्वेदिक औषधियों के साथ ही रक्त मोक्षण की क्रिया की जो कि शीघ्र प्रभावकारी प्रमाणित हुई। हमने औषधियों के साथ ही कटि वास्ति, नाड़ी,स्वेदन, अलावू तथा रक्त मोक्षण आदि प्रक्रियाओं को किया, जिसमें से रक्त मोक्षण की प्रक्रिया से रोगी को शीघ्र परिणाम मिले।

रक्त मोक्षण आयुर्वेद की पंचकर्म चिकित्सा के अंतर्गत होने वाली एक प्रक्रिया है, जो कि जलौंका (लीच), शृंगी, अलावू, घटी यंत्र आदि के द्वारा प्रच्छान्न करके की जाती है। हमने इनका अत्यंत प्रभावकारी रूप में प्रच्छान कर एक कांच के ग्लास में नकारात्मक दबाव उत्पन्न कर रक्त मोक्षण (खून निकालना) की प्रक्रिया की।

Hi for gain weight_ foods like flour, rice, honey, raisins, figs, dates butter, suger, cream, jam can help increase weight. Sweet substance can increase weight better than fatty foods. Although fats are energy dense foods and help reduce the bulk of diet. Easily digestible protein of high biological value like milk, egg and a combination of cereal and pulses should be included in diet. Germinated wheat is also extremely beneficial if taken in form of gruel mixed with hot mik.
