Hi, looks like severe loss of calcium and vit d which may trigger arthritic pain, or som local inflammation in the joint. You must correct that with some good exs programme with a physiotherapist, weight bearing exs especially To begin with start static recliner biking for 10-15 mins.

I am asking this question regarding my mom's condition. She is having pain in her joints all over the body, the pain is there all the times. We had visited a doctor earlier and after a few x-ray scans, he said she might be having arthritis. But then we had another test (rheumatoid factor) along with other tests at Apollo hospitals (Delhi) where the test came to be negative, and the doctor (a gym doctor) said there were no signs of arthritis. What could be the problem then? Should we visit an orthopaedic? Condition: Pain is not severe but mild and continuous. And even after doing small routine work she starts feeling very tired.

Try some remedies for Joint pain: -Ice packs can be used to soothe hot, swollen joints. -Heat packs help to relax tense, tired muscles. -Splinting of swollen or painful joints may be helpful, a physiotherapist or an occupational therapist (OT) may provide temporary splints for you. -Pace yourself :Overdoing things can increase your pain, but so can not doing enough. Your physiotherapist can advise you on increasing your activity level at a rate you can cope with and on finding the right balance between rest and activity. -Take regular graded exercise :Graded exercise starts slowly and increases in small steps. This will help you to strengthen your muscles and joints and increase your fitness. Improving your general fitness and stamina will help you to increase your activity level without increasing your pain. -Mobilising, stretching and strengthening :Your physiotherapist will assess your muscle strength and the range of movement in your joints, and advise on techniques and exercises so you can keep your joints working as well as possible. Hi doctor I m suffering from rapidly hair fall since last 3 years and my hair are become very thin. I have used so many shampoos, oil, home remedies but not find any result, what should I do?

Commonly dandruff or any other infection and lack of hair nourishment are the main causes for hair fall. This requires both local application for dandruff or any other infection and local massage with oil to increase circulation and internal consumption of herbal preparations as nutrients for hair growth. In young age the results are more positive.

Get your HB checked. Do not do crash dieting if you are doing. Have healthy balanced meal. Do not skip your breakfast. Have green salads & fruits daily. Hair structure mainly consists protein. So take good amount of protein in your daily meal. Have sufficient sleep. Most importantly do not go for any hair treatments that can damage your hair permanantly. Check with your dermatologist that your scalp is healthy.

My mom is 53 years old and she feels a little pain in one of her hands. Also she feels like that hand has very little energy and finds it difficult to even use mobile using that hand. I undergone ACL reconstruction surgery in March 2013. I still have little pain near patella. After running my upper part of thigh of same leg pains. I am doing mountaineering hence I need total fitness. I am 171 cm and 81 kg. Please guide me about this problem.

You may be having low vitamin d or varicose veins. Get your vitamin d levels (blood test) and venous doppler both lower limbs and get back with reports.

Control Hair Fall With These Ayurvedic Remedies!

Hair loss can be harrowing for both men and women, especially if it tends to be above normal for extended periods of time. Losing more hair than that can signify problems within the body such as hormonal changes, ageing, lifestyle-related issues etc. 

Lifestyle change tips to avoid hair fall: Even before getting into Ayurvedic remedies to control the loss of hair, it is important to reduce the problems which may be contributing to the problem in the first place. Some of the things that you may be required to do are:

  1. Maintain or start of on a healthy diet and cut fatty, oily and processed foods from your diet.
  2. Start exercising to ensure that your body is in the best shape it possibly can be and thus everything within, is functioning optimally.
  3. Start doing yoga, breathing exercises and other meditative techniques to ensure that your stress levels are kept under control.
  4. Get head massages regularly as they improve blood circulation within the scalp 
  5. Quit smoking, excessive alcohol consumption and inculcate good sleep habits which help prevent hair loss problems. 

Controlling hair loss with Ayurvedic tips:

  1. Indian gooseberry or amla: A pack of amla, bramhi and henna powder can be made with curd and water. Apply it and keep it for a couple of hours and then wash it off. Amla juice mixed with lemon juice can be massaged on the scalp after the wash. This will make the follicles on your scalp stronger. 
  2. Ritha: An age old solution to hair problems, Ritha is also known as soapberry as it contains naturally foamy and cleansing agents. Crush the Ritha seeds and keep them soaked in water overnight. Wash your hair with the mixture in the morning and continue for a month to see visible results.
  3. Aloe vera with cumin seeds: Mix about one-third cup of aloe vera juice with a little bit of cumin or Jeera powder. Use this mixture at least twice a day, for a few months to see results in the prevention of hair thinning.
  4. Bhringaraaj: One of the most effective Ayurvedic herbs used in many medicines, it can be taken internally to help the system repair the hair related problems, or applied externally as Bhringaraaj oil to encourage hair growth and stopping hair loss.
  5. Brahmi oil: Considered brain food in its herb form, Brahmi oil is known to be very good for hair-related ailments and is very effective at stopping hair loss and help new hair growth. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult an ayurveda.
