Liposuction - What You Can Do About Genetic Fat?

Your genetic background influences where your body fat is stored. In case, your mother or father has fat stored in the abdomen, hips, waist or in the thigh, it is likely for you to develop deposits of fat in the same regions.

Circumstances of Genetic Fat

  • You may have a proper or a balanced BMI (body mass index) but still tend to develop bulges in areas, which are likely to make you look disproportional.
  • You may become obese by development of excess fat accumulation in the lower abdomen region, referred to as pannus. Extra fat may accumulate in your lower back and hips as well, which cannot be lost in spite of taking weight losing measures.


Liposuction to get rid of extra fat:

  • Liposuction is a cosmetic surgery that allows you to remove genetic fat or any extra fat from the body, in order to change the body's shape. Liposuction does not remove cellulites and tightening of loose skin cannot be done.
  • Liposuction removes excess fat from the body by suction. Small, narrow tubes with blunt tips known as the cannulae are inserted through incisions in the skin surface. The tubes are moved under the skin to target the suction of fat deposits.

There are several types of liposuction techniques:

  1. Tumescent Liposuction: In this form of liposuction, a wetting solution such as lidocaine with a local anesthetic is injected into the patient before surgery. This causes the shrinking or constriction of blood vessels due to which it allows liposuction to be performed while the patient is under local anaesthesia. Blood loss and post surgical pains are reduced.
  2. Suction Assisted Liposuction: This mode of liposuction also known as SAL is the most primary form of liposuction. It involves drawing out of fat using a vacuum.
  3. Power Assisted Liposuction: This liposuction technique called PAL in short involves the process of SAL with an extra tool for increasing the motion of the cannula. The process is faster.
  4. Ultrasound Assisted Liposuction: This process (UAL) involves the transmission of energy via a specialized hand piece for loosening and melting of fat. A greater volume of fat can be removed via UAL.
  5. VASER: It is a variation of the UAL method where an ultrasonic cannula with grooves helps in energy disruption to improve removal of fat.


Laser Assisted Liposuction:
LAL is a newly developed liposuction technology where a laser works like an ultrasound for disruption and removal of fat cells. This mode is more efficient and involves less trauma. Liposuction is an effective way to remove unwanted, genetic fat from your body, which may be harming your body image. However, liposuction is associated with severe side effects. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a dermatologist.

How To Stop Food Craving During Weight Loss

Know the difference between real hunger and a craving: 

When you want to solve a problem you attack its roots. As mentioned earlier, hunger is your physical need, while craving is your emotional need and will die off in 10 – 15 minutes, you should never suppress hunger. But its best to suppress your craving if you are watching your weight. It is just a matter of 10 – 15 mins, then the cravings will wash off automatically.

Know the triggers: cravings are usually triggered responses. You need to know what makes you crave for a certain thing. Knowing the triggers and avoiding them can help you achieve the health goal. Ex – if you crave for sweets post lunch / dinner meals, chew on some fennel seeds / roasted sounf or chew on a sugar free gum immediately after the meals. Strong flavors of these foods will divert your mind and you will not crave.

Distract yourself: cravings are all in the mind, and hence the key to controlling them also depends on how well you distract your mind. We know that cravings don’t last long, hence when you crave for something, engage yourself in some work or call a friend or go for a walk. Don’t get into watching television. A lot of people tend to crave for food all the more while watching television.

Brush your teeth – I suggest this to a lot of my clients. And they benefit from it. If you crave for something while you are at home, it is best to brush your teeth with a minty paste. The strong taste of the paste will help you overcome all your cravings.

Don’t starve yourself: hunger can also trigger cravings. So if you are wondering about how to stop food cravings, the key is in your hand. All you need to do is eat! studies have confirmed that people who eat small frequent meals crave less for sugary foods than those who are stuck with 3 meal pattern.

Don’t skip breakfast: it is advisable that you do not skip breakfast. Consuming high fibre food with lots of liquid for breakfast will assure an energetic day ahead with no food cravings.

Get enough sleep: in a university of chicago study, researchers found that people who slept only four hours a night for two nights had an 18 percent decrease in leptin, a hormone that tells the brain there is no need for more food, and a 28 percent increase in ghrelin, a hormone that triggers hunger. This causes an increase in appetite and a preference for calorie-dense, high carbohydrate foods like potato chips, cookies, etc. So make sure you sleep well for a minimum of 6 hours at a single strech to have a healthy functioning mind and tongue.

Eat healthy food if you have craving: if you still are struggling with craving, try to go for healthy food rather than junk food. You can grab a carrot instead of french fries, eat an apple instead of a burger and have popcorn instead of potato chips.

Start gradually following 1.no alcohol 2. Reduce body wt 3. No smoking/ tobacco 4. Diet - no ghee/ butter, have mix of vegetable oils - mustard, til, ground nut, olive oil, have more green vegetables and fruits, have whole grain atta, no fried. Fast. Spicy / processed/ junk food. Less sugar, potato, rice 5. 30 mts brisk walk daily 6. Deep breathing exercise for 10 mts daily 7. Meditation daily for 10 mts. 6-8 hrs of sleep at night 8. Liposuction removes fat from your body using suction. During liposuction, small, thin, blunt-tipped tubes (cannula) are inserted through tiny cuts in the skin. Fat is suctioned out through these tubes as the doctor moves the tubes around under the skin to target specific fat deposits.

In recent years, improved techniques have made liposuction safer, easier, and less painful. These newer techniques include:

Tumescent liposuction. A local anesthetic is used to numb the area of your body where the tube will be inserted.

Ultrasound assisted liposuction. This technique uses ultrasound to liquefy the fat, which makes it easier to remove. This technique may be particularly helpful in removing fat from the neck, upper abdomen, sides, and back.

Laser-assisted liposuction. This technique uses low-energy waves to liquefy the fat, which is removed through a small cannula.

Liposuction is usually done as an outpatient  procedure in a properly equipped doctor's office, ambulatory surgery center, or hospital. In general, it does not require an overnight hospital stay unless a large volume of fat is being removed. Local anesthesia is used in some cases. And you may or may not be given a sedative to help you relax. If a large area or volume of fat is being treated, general anesthesia or deep sedation with a local anesthetic may be used.

Auricular Therapy is an ear based acupuncture therapy that can help in weight loss with the help of appetite suppression. Acupuncture helps in improving the serotonin level which works towards improving the smooth muscle of the stomach. This in turn helps in curbing one's hunger and appetite. The therapy is aimed at the vagal nerve in the ears.

This is also done with the help of herbal supplements that must be had at the same time.

Auricular Point Stimulation: The objective of this therapy is to stimulate those points in the ear which are known to have a deep connection with parts of the abdomen and digestive tract. This is especially helpful for those people who have an uncontrolled appetite and especially those who indulge in emotional eating. Some people may be put through a process of electrical stimulation in which the ears can be stimulated for prolonged periods of time. This is done by passing a high frequency electrical current in the needle that has been inserted in the point.

Safety and Warnings: While acupressure is considered as a safe discipline and practice, there are warning signs that one must look out for. Any undue pain, fatigue and stress should be warning signals that point at the fact that the treatment is not working as it should. In such a case, the therapy must be stopped on an immediate basis with the mutual consent of the practitioner and the patient.

Obesity and excessive weight gain can be fixed with a variety of natural methods including Auricular therapy, which gets to the root of the problem, namely uncontrolled appetite.

There are no shortcuts here. You have to focus on safety first and take the right decisions. The best option is to start exercising (go slow if you are beginning for the first time). Learn yoga as it will harmonise your metabolism in a gentle and yet effective manner. Do not opt for strict dieting as it can be harmful and can affect the hormonal system. Eat a balanced diet as it can help you reach your expected height. Consult a dietitian so that one can plan a diet regime which will be suitable for you. A proper keto cycle works for 4 weeks. Lets see the diet week by week

Week 1 –

You can alternate between or choose from the below mentioned options for entire week

Breakfast

  • Cheese pakora (fried in peanut oil / coconut oil)
  • Cheesy egg omlette with lots of cheese (cooked in olive oil and butter)
  • Cheesy scrambled egg with lots of capsicum (cooked in olive oil and butter)

Lunch

  • Simple salad (spinach, capsicum, mushrooms, stir fried in olive oil and butter, sometimes with chicken, sometimes with eggs and sometimes only veggies topped with lots of cheese)
  • Cream of palak soup with stir fried mushrooms / broccoli
  • Solkadhi and baked french beans (whole) with cheese
  • Cauliflower curry in coconut milk and coconut oil
     

Dinner 

  • Baked spinach with cheese and cream
  • Lemon chicken stew
  • Fried paneer pakora
  • Stir fried mutton with spices of choice
  • Cabbage salad / cabbage thoran with coconut (kerala style veggie)

 
Week 2

In this week we introduce a special mix of coconut oil, cream and butter. All you need to do is beat these 3 ingredients together and gulp it down. I know it is hard, but you will do it if you want to lose weight. If this sounds like a torture to you, mix it up with your tea or coffee decoction. Add whatever spice it takes for your tongue to accept this. Please dont add ay sugar, you can use artificial sweeteners like stevia and sugarfree natura. This mix will help a great deal in enhancing your fat loss. Lets call this coffee mix as bullet coffee.

Breakfast 

Bullet coffee (coffee / tea mixed with coconut oil, cream and butter mix)
 

Lunch 

  • Simple salad (spinach, capsicum, mushrooms, stir fried in olive oil and butter, sometimes with chicken, sometimes with eggs and sometimes only veggies topped with lots of cheese)
  • Spiced, fried paneer pakora
  • Red channa salad
  • Lemon chicken
  • Soya nugget curry
  • Stir fried lady finger with peanuts (maharashtrian style)
     

Dinner 

  • Stir fried french beans with cheese topping / cheese fondue
  • Cauliflower cooked in coconut milk and coconut oil
  • Cream of mushroom
  • Chicken stew
  • Cheese pakora
     

Week 3 

As the weeks progresses, keto diet is going to get tougher by each passing day. Week 3 calls for a fasting stage. So we are going to eat early breakfast, no lunch and after a 12 hour fasting, we will have a fat full dinner. This is called intermittent fasting. (read more about intermittent fasting)

Breakfast 

Bullet coffee

Lunch 

Fasting, just keep on sipping water and sugar less green tea / lemon water with pepper

Dinner 

  • 6-8 soaked almonds everyday for this week
  • Chicken in pesto sauce with paneer and spinach leaves stir fried in olive oil
  • Paneer chilly
  • Chicken barbecue with spinach and cheese salad
  • Spinach egg omlette with lots of cheese
     

Week 4

It really really getting very tough now. This week you are required to eat only dinners. While fasting for the entire day. Yes you can have green teas, lemon water (with salt and pepper), green teas (without sugar), and yes lots and lots of water. If fasting this strictly seems difficult to you, you can go back to week 2 and start following from there on again.


Breakfast

  • Black tea / lemon tea / peach tea (without sugar)
  • Black coffee
  • Lunch 
  • Green tea (without sugar)
  • Lemon water (without sugar)
  • Lots and lots of water

Dinner 

  • Stir fried green beans with coconut and peanut
  • Shezuan chicken
  • Spinach cooked in milk, cream and cheese
  • Stir fried veggies with spicies and cream dressing
  • Chicken stew
  • Thai chicken
  • Lemon chicken
  • Stir fried paneer with spinach and bell pepper
  • Almond flour pancakes

Well its summer now and I think we all have put on enough weight by gorging on hot, spicy and oily food during the winter. Well it is said that winter makes people hungry, I do not know about you but it surely made me hungry and it also made me put on a few kilos. Now the main problem is to how to lose the winter fat as summer is here and of course, you want to flaunt your perfect swimsuit body on the beach, don’t you? However, the major problem is the few pounds of flesh on the love handles, which is making all the women worry to death.

Well but don’t worry because I am going to give you a few workout and diet tips, which will make your body slim and trim again.

Therefore, the first summer diet tip is cut down the food you eat and go organic. Organic in the sense means eat more of salads, fruits, and vegetables. Avoid oil, butter, ghee, paneer, cheese, and other fattening dairy products. Switch to green tea, mint tea or lemon tea, any tea is fine as long as you do not add milk to it.

The best green tea can be prepared at home and the directions are given below:

  • Boil water in a vessel
  • Add Tealeaves, Lemon Grass, Tulsi / Basil Leaves, Lemon Juice, Elaichi / Cardamon   Lavang / Clove to it.
  • Boil the tea for 10- 15 minutes
  • Strain the tea in a cup, and add Jaggery / Gur or Honey as per your wish and mix well.

This is the recipe of healthy, tasty, aromatic, homemade green tea.

Work out regularly and make sure that you hit the gym daily. Unless you work out you will not be able to lose weight.

Every morning on an empty stomach, drink a glass of warm water mixed with a teaspoon of lemon juice and honey.

This is one of the easiest ways to reduce weight.

Control your diet - Remember weight loss plan is made up of 80 % diet plan and 20 % workout plan. Therefore, you ought to control your diet. Eat a light dinner in fact you should only eat salad and soup at night. Make sure that you eat your dinner at least 2 hours before you go to sleep.

Get good sleep, if you sleep well, then the metabolism of your body will be good which will in turn help you to burn your extra calories faster.

Hence, these are some of the tips you ought to follow to reduce weight this summer.

Hi Anamika Excess fat deposit on tummy area is due to insulin and glucagon hormone imbalance. To lose tummy fat you should avoid starchy and sugary food exm. chapati, rice, bread, potato. U can use high protein diet exm. pannier, egg, chicken. Take lipolyzer tummy tablet after lunch and dinner.

I had gone through your question and i can understand your concern I don't think it is a difficult task to loose weight . So don't loose your mind. In my opinion you should follow these guidelines strict dietary restrictions and make a chart of what you are eating and follow it very religiously. 30 to 45 minutes daily exercises, slowly start with brisk walking or jogging and gradually you can build your stamina. You should also include muscle building exercises for additional benefits. Have plenty of fruits vegetables and dietary fibers Take plenty of fluids 3 to 4 liters a day. Medicines are not recommended in your case. But if you wish to try them under strict medical supervision, you can discuss about appetite suppressant drugs like phentermine or sibutramine and lipase inhibitors like orlistat with your local doctor. There is huge infection problem in my legs It increases while I work in water more I have use betnovate cream Prposolic cream to reduce that affected area. It helps me in curing that infection. Bt still it become new infection occurred on the same place. Several times it happening Because of my small kids I can not go nd consult properly. So please help me which ointment is better suits for my affected skin area. I have that problem since 7,8 years. Please give me best suggestion.

Don’t worry. You can lose weight easily if you are patient and determined to shed those extra kilos. You just have to alter your daily routine, watch what you eat and be physically active. This requires you to be on your weight loss commitment for quiet long. As soon as you start seeing the results, you will be surprised as well as motivated to go beyond your weight loss and adopt a lifelong healthy attitude. For a start please follow some instructions as stated below: 1. Watch what you eat – Are you eating too much junk, drinking excessive alcohol or eating too much white food and sugar? Please cut it down to as low as you can from tomorrow. Cut down tea/coffee if you are too addicted to it. It is creating havoc inside your body. 2. Alter your lifestyle – Are you a late sleeper and late riser? You can’t imagine what this schedule of yours is doing to your metabolism. It is degrading your digestive system from inside and your looks from outside. Try to go to bed early (before 10 pm is ideal) and wake up early as well (between 5 am and 6 am is good for a start). 3. Be physically active – If you are a couch potato who loves to watch TV whole day then throw that couch of yours in the street and get yourself a treadmill tomorrow. Yes it is as simple as that. Who is stopping you? You have to be physically active all day long if you want to burn those extra calories. Do daily brisk walk, Pranayam, atleast 20 surayanamaskar everyday to start seeing the results. Take break between office work to walk a little or rather just climb some stairs to get that food you ate in lunch have space and heat to digest and absorb. What’s the harm in using your washroom to do a little middle of the day squats. Do that – No one is watching you. The key is to stay physically active all day long, no matter what. 4. Try to eat healthy and eat on time – Not only eating healthy is important but also eating at the right time is equally important. Have an early breakfast and early dinner and have 4 small meals between breakfast and dinner. To guide you a bit, here’s a sample diet you can follow: A. Breakfast (Between 8-10 a. M) – Have oats/porridge or brown bread with milk and nuts. B. At 11 a. M - Cup of Green Tea C. Mid day meal (around 12 p. M) – Have a bowl of fruits. Citrus fruits are best taken during this hour and absorb well in the body. Have oranges, amla, pineapple etc during this hour. D. Lunch (between 2-3 p. M) – Daal, roti, mix veg, buttermilk and salad. You can also take brown rice with daal in lunch. Try to get your food cooked in olive oil. Lace your salad with apple cider vinegar, black pepper and seeds like flaxseeds or chia seeds to make it nutrition packed lunch. E. Between 4 p. M – 5 p. M – Cup of Green Tea F. Evening (4-6 p. M) – Have some nice sprouts with tomatoes and cucumber. G.Dinner (2 hours before sleeping, preferably before 9 p. M) – Paneer & veggies salad with olive oil, Roti or brown rice with Daal. H. Have a glass of warm milk. Weight loss is 80% about what you eat and 20% about exercises. That said, both the things go hand in hand. If you want to lose weight in a more healthy way than be patient and just follow the regimen every day. Slow and steady wins the race.
