Mouth ulcers mouth ulcers can vary is size, shape and number. Mouth ulcers are self limiting, which means they heal naturally by themselves. The medications are only to ease the pain and burning sensation during the course of the healing. Please do not self prescribe any medications as it might at times delay the healing of the ulcer. Please visit the dentist to know exactly the type of the ulcer and its treatment. To ease the pain you cud by a topical anaesthetic gel and apply it before eating anything spicy. Try to reduce the stress, avoid long exposure to sunlight, avoid carbonated drinks and citrus fruits and juices containing citric acid, avoid lemon with food and keep urself hydrated. Please visit the dentist for exact diagnosis and treatment. I hope I have answered your question. Feel free to contact me if you need more clarification. God bless and good luck.

Nutritional deficiency, excessive stress & debilitating disease can cause ulcer. Exercise regularly. Eat lot of fruits & green leafy vegetables & drink plenty of water. You may need Coronoplasty (smoothen teeth edges) along with Multivitamin cap, for five days in the morning after meals & antiseptic ointment or gel on the area of ulcer until then. Rinse your mouth thoroughly with a mouth wash after every meals.

Hi. I have cracks on my teeth. Front teeth. 2 upper and 2 lower. I'm so worried. Please tell me any solution.

Hi. I have cracks on my teeth. Front teeth. 2 upper and 2 lower. I'm so worried. Please tell me any solution.
Dear Lybrate user, are those cracks due to any previous or recent injury or trauma to the teeth or otherwise? If the cracked teeth are not hurting, no need to worry. But at times, cracked teeth are prone to sensitivity because of damaged enamel in the area. You can get it examined at your local dentist. If there is no proper fracture of teeth, you can just use any anti-sensitivity toothpaste like colgate or sensodyne in that area. If you're not satisfied with the appearance of cracked teeth, they can be easily amended by using tooth colored filling/composites, laminates or veneers. But a thorough dental checkup with an xray is required.

Hi, your teeth may have stains from food, drinks etc, a cleaning by a dentist will remove it. If you want to whiten your teeth do a professionally suoervised teeth whitening from a dentist.

1. Sleep on your back sleeping on your back is a good idea because it helps saliva settle right at the back of your throat, which eventual drains down. It is a good idea to tuck yourself in so that you don't change side while sleeping. Start sleeping on your back and you will notice a substantial improvement in your condition. 2. Prop your head up propping your head up may also help when sleeping at night. Propping yourself in a vertical position will help keep your mouth close, which will prevent drooling.

Loose Teeth? It might Indicate Much More Than You Know!

Loose Teeth? It might Indicate Much More Than You Know!

You know you're suffering from loose tooth if it moves when you brush or while eating. In fact, loose tooth is an indication that you may suffer from an underlying dental problem. Thus, it's vital to be aware of the problems that may cause you to suffer from tooth mobility.

Here are some of the culprits behind your loose teeth.

1. Periodontal disease - Loose teeth problem can occur if you suffer from periodontal disease. This oral condition causes the bone and ligaments that surround your teeth to get weakened. The problem begins to occur once plaque begins to form on your teeth, more specifically around the gum line, leading to the formation of tartar. Eventually, the gums become inflamed causing periodontal pockets to form around the affected tooth or teeth. The result is bone loss and damage to the connective tissues.

2. Osteoporosis - The condition of osteoporosis sees the bone density around your teeth decreasing, resulting in the problem of loosened teeth. Women with osteoporosis are known to be three times more prone to tooth loss than women who don't suffer from this problem.

3. Pregnancy hormones - High estrogen and progesterone hormones during pregnancy can influence the bone and ligaments surrounding a tooth to loosen. If not accompanied by any other dental complication like periodontal disease, it only causes the problem of tooth mobility.

4. Traumatic injury - The connective tissue and the periodontal ligament that keep your teeth in place can become stretched if extreme pressure is placed on them. Whether it's an accident or a fall, any kind of strain to your mouth can harm the bone and ligaments that surround your tooth. Even grinding your teeth or clenching of the jaws can cause the periodontal ligament to get stretched, causing the loose tooth to occur.

The reason for broken Crown plus other reasons for establishing the support of inclusion of other teeth are important. Then, a good quality Crown will seldom break. Only will wear and tear with the time and usage.
