This question is for my 3.5 years old baby girl having squint in both eyes, Doctor applied glasses accordingly and suggests surgery then after diagnose of 1.5 years, as my baby girl is just 3.5 years old as a parent I do not want her to operate at this age, can we wait? And if yes then how many years we can wait. 2nd) is this a minor surgery like laser or sesame. 3rd) after this surgery can we think for lasik laser at the age of 16, 4th) if surgery is necessity now, then its surety that squint will never appear in future.

Ophthalmologist, Rajkot
If squint disappear with glasses, not to worry. If eyes remail sqinting, must go for surgery to avoid permanent one eye vision week. It is not an eye operation and nothing to do with vision loss in surgery. It is an external surgery and quite safe. You must get op. At the age 5 to 6.If done late ,vision will be less in one eye for ever.

Glaucoma is a condition where eye pressure remains high, cause damage to your vision and if not treated ,blindness occur. The pressure is diagnosed by measuring with insrument. Either you have to put drops for life time to get pressure under control or surgery is other option. Regular measuring tention by doctor is a must.
