My mother was suffering from pain in the left leg since 1 year. She is a diabetic. She suffered a massive heart attack and collapsed in the hospital after a day of admission. She was 88 years old. Angioplasty was suggested but due to her age it was deferred. Please let me know if the leg pain would have been a pad or dvt which caused the acute MI. Her lipids were within normal a month back before her death. If pci was done would she be saved.

Causes And Treatment Of Infertility!

Causes And Treatment Of Infertility!

Infertility is a condition where a couple, trying to conceive in a natural way is not able to do so even after one year of trying. It is also a matter of worry for patients who are over the age of 35 years and those who are not able to conceive naturally even after 12 months of trying constantly.

Causes: There are many causes of infertility. It may be down to a condition present in one or both partners. Ovulation and fertilisation are the main elements of the conception process and any condition in the female or male can upset either function, which can make it difficult to conceive.

While abnormal sperm production and transport may be a common condition that leads to infertility in males, other factors like side effects of cancer treatments and too much exposure to toxins and chemicals can also play an important role in this regard. For females, the causes of infertility may range from ovulation disorders, uterine and fibroid tumours, uterine and cervical anomalies, damage to or blockage of the fallopian tubes, endometriosis, primary ovarian insufficiency and pelvic adhesions.

Treatment: Female patients can turn to medication that will stimulate ovulation, intrauterine insemination, and surgical processes to correct a uterine septum and remove endometrial polyps, or even a hysteroscopy surgery. Male patients can go through a treatment for any existing infections, hormonal injections and medication, surgical options like vasectomy reversal and art or assistive reproductive technology.

If these methods fail, the patient or the couple can always turn to methods like in-vitro fertilisation. For other mild reasons, lifestyle changes along with a stress free environment can help in increasing the chances of conception. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a Gynaecologist.

I am suffering from Hypothyroidism. I am taking thyroid (50 mcg) daily as my TSH levels were diagnosed to be 35 in the month of february. I am very frustrated with the my double chin was has raised with the weight gain caused by the disease. Its not reducing, it looks very odd and embarrassing and even my body fat is not recovering. The doctor I took prescription from did not suggest me anything but this medicine. Is there any specified diet or living style I need to follow in order to recover from my disease. I stay lethargic almost all the times, my exams are going on, but I can barely remember anything and feel sleepy all the time. I can not write or do any physical work continuously for long, just half of the minute and I will feel pains. My hair are greying alot. Hands and feet look like they have swelled. My memory is not good anymore. I forget things easily. What should I do? I am very stressed.

Lybrate user. You have to continue the medicine as prescribed by the physician. The symptoms of lethargy and dizziness will disappear gradually. And you have to focus on life style modification to reconstruct your fatty fever. Do regular exercise, morning evening brisk walking for 30 min. You can join gym. You should avoid fast food, red meat, panner, spicy oilly food as far as possible. Take more amount of fibre rich diet, fruits, vegetables, egg white and fish. Do TSH estimation in every 3 to 4 months. For hair greying treatment you can consult homeopathic medicine.

I am diabetic takes insulin so please prescribe me some medicine so I leave insulin.
It's very essential to have a blood sugar level that can be controlled by oral medicines. If you're taking insulin it means your sugar is not under control. Get hba1c levels checked and also fasting and post prandial blood sugars at regular intervals. If the range is coming at an acceptable level you can be put on oral medicines.

Please suggest me I have Low blood sugar and blood pressure from past two months.
Please go for regular check up with your doctor. Please eat only healthy food (home made and wholesome with fruits and vegetables everyday ). Start exercising (begin with walking for 20 - 30 mins ). Read more about health and healthy lifestyle and adapt all the good habits that you are comfortable with. Yoga can also be very beneficial if you do it every day for a few minutes as it harmonises all the organs of the body to work in coordination.
