This is a large no. I must say and you have to be careful that it does not increase further. And for that you should consult an opthalmologist for better advice.

My eyes have a alergitic condition, so they are always red. How I can determine the allergy.

My eyes have a alergitic condition, so they are always red. How I can determine the allergy.
Hi. Hello, Bloodshot eyes appear red because the vessels at the surface of the white portion of the eye become swollen. Vessels may swell due to: Eye dryness Too much sun exposure Dust or other particles in the eye Allergies Infection Injury Eye infections or inflammation can cause redness as well as possible itching, discharge, pain, or vision problems. Other causes of eye redness include Colds or allergies, Acute glaucoma, Corneal scratches: Injuries caused by sand, dust, or overuse of contact lenses. Sometimes, a bright red spot, called a subconjunctival hemorrhage, will appear on the white of the eye. This often happens after straining or coughing, which causes a broken blood vessel on the surface of the eye. Most often, there is no pain and your vision is normal. It is almost never a serious problem. Because the blood leaks into the conjunctiva, which is clear, you cannot wipe or rinse the blood away. Like a bruise, the red spot will go away within a week or two. Management: - Try to rest your eyes if redness is due to fatigue or eye strain. No other treatment is needed. - Wash your hands, hold clean water in your hand, keep your eyes closer to the water and dip the eyes by blinking the eyelids frequently in the held water in hand. Repeat it for 3-4 times again. - Avoid watching T.V., working on computer or mobile, reading or frequently keep blinking your eyes to avoid dryness. Take frequent breaks in between. - In case there is itching, use a clean napkin or a tissue to wipe the tears and cleaning the eyelids gently. -Wear an UV-rays protected sunglasses while you are out in sun. Medication: Take homoeopathic medicines - Schwabe’s Belladonna 30 and Euphrasia 30 - both thrice daily for 4 days. Use Euphrasia Eye drops twice daily. Revert back thereafter.

When you look on bright scenes like laptop or mobile you have to give rst to your eyes often by looking far ahead and washing eyes with cold water And by keeping eyes closed every 10 minutes of looking at glowing screen

I will suggest you to go for LASIK surgery for complete removal of spectacle because we won't be able to reduce the eye sight problem with home remedies.

Hello, Get your eyes tested from an Opthalmologist. Include the following for getting better vision: Vitamins A, C, E, and minerals like copper and zinc are essential to eyesight. Get the antioxidants from dark leafy greens, egg yolks, yellow peppers, pumpkin, sweet potatoes, and carrots. Include garlic and onions. Blueberries, grapes as they have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties that can help improve your vision. DHA is a fatty acid found in coldwater fish like salmon, sardines and mackerel. Exercises for eyes: Warm your eyes. Rub your palms together to create heat, and then place them against your eyes for five seconds. Repeat this three times. Roll your eyes. Start by looking up and then slowly circle 10 times clockwise and 10 times counterclockwise. Focus. Hold a pen at arm's length, focus your eyes on it, and slowly bring the pen closer until it's about 6 inches away from your nose. Then slowly move it back, keeping your eyes focused on the pen, 10 times in all. Massage your temples. Using your thumb knuckles, massage your temples in small circles, 20 times in one direction and 20 in the other. Repeat the same actions above the mid-point of the eyebrows at the forehead, then below the eyes on both sides of the bridge of the nose. Take a mini-nap. Put your head back, close your eyes, and relax for 3 minutes. Insufficient sleep may weaken your vision, so shoot for 8 hours of sound sleep a night. Rest your eyes 10 minutes for every 50 minutes spent reading or in front of the computer. If your eyes feel overly tired, lie down and place cooling cucumber slices over your eyelids. Medication: Take homoeopathic medicine which will help you in preventing first and reducing the power of your eyes. Take Physostigma 6/ thrice daily for 1 month. Thereafter, revert back for further guidance.

Get her power rechecked if that's ok then then get her muscles checked up. Mostly she will have weak muscles for which she should do eye exercises both at home and at machine. Give her good healthy food you can also add some supplements in milk like pediasure etc I hope this helps you.

Diabetic Retinopathy

Dermatologist, Delhi

Hello, I am Dr. Anisha Seth Gupta. Today I will tell you about diabetic retinopathy.

Is problem me retina me problem aati hai. Iske hone ka cause kya hai. Jab sugar upar jati hai to vo blood nerves ko block kr deti hai. Is reason se blood supply ruk jata hai. Kuch new nerves bhi develop hoti hai jise microaneurysm kehte hain. Ye nerves weak and kharaab hoti hain. Iski vajah se eyesight affect hoti hai. Ye sugar uncontrolled patient me zyaada dekha jaata hai. Timely treatment se isko roka ja sakta hai. Kaafi logon me late stage tak bhi is disease ko detect nahi ho pata hai.

Patient ko vision me ya to black dikhta hai ya red. Kam blood hone ki vajah se black clouds dikhte hain. Isay vitreous hemorrhage kehte hain. Hum is treat karne ke liye laser use karte hain. Is se blindness ka risk bhi badh jata hai. Agar eyes me kaafi blood aa gaya hai to humein blood clean hone tak ka wait karna padta hai.

Doctors aapko injections bhi dete hain. Or agar blood nhi jaata hai to operation ki requirement hoti hai. Is stage mein patient ki eyesight ko normal karna kaam possible hai. Diagnose karne ke liye angiography ki jaati hai. Humein laser bhi karna pad sakta hai taaki hum excessive blood and water ko band kar sken.

Is treatment ke liye bahut important hai ki aap apne sugar pe bahut dhyaan dein or overall control rakhen. Sugar ko jitna hum rok sakte hain ankhon ke liye, utna pura treatment ke time pe roka jata hai with the help of the injections, laser and surgeries. Agar aapka sugar, BP, cholesterol control me nahi hai to treatment itna successful nahi hota hai. Isliye sugar control pe aap dhyaan dein.

Agar aapko 5 years se diabetes hai to specialist se mil ke eyes me medicine zarur dalvayein taaki sugar ka asar starting me hi detect kiya ja sake. Sugar ka effect aapko blind bana sakta hai. So, timely treatment se isay roka ja sakta hai. Because with modern techniques we are saving many patients. Thank You.

Hi, Mobile use karne par meri ankhe(eyes) bahut dard karti hai. Please suggest what is reason.
Hi lybrate-user The term eye strain describes a group of symptoms which occur in some people after extended use of the eyes. Extended computer use or mobile inadequate or excessive lighting may cause eye strain, but there are no permanent consequences of this. Common precipitating factors for the onset of eye strain include extended use of a computer or video monitor, straining to see in very dim light, and exposure to extreme brightness or glare. Many people will blink less than normal when performing extended visual tasks. This decreased blinking may lead to dryness of the ocular surface and symptoms of dry eyes. Regards.
