How to gain weight?
I am a registered dietitian and a doctor who will help you in managing your weight. You need to provide me your daily food intake details. There are many lifestyle and dietary guidelines that can be followed: take high protein prescribed diet, have paneer, eggs and potatoe daily. Incorporate dry fruits in your diet on a daily basis. Your condition of Prolonged bleeding is called Menorrhagia, also known as abnormal uterine bleeding (AUB, and it is a menstrual period that is abnormal in its quantity, timing, or duration of bleeding. In some cases, the cause of heavy menstrual bleeding is unknown, but a number of conditions may cause menorrhagia. Common causes include •Hormone imbalance. In a normal menstrual cycle, a balance between the hormones estrogen and progesterone regulates the buildup of the lining of the uterus (endometrium), which is shed during menstruation. If a hormone imbalance occurs, the endometrium develops in excess and eventually sheds by way of heavy menstrual bleeding. •Dysfunction of the ovaries. If your ovaries don't release an egg (ovulate) during a menstrual cycle (anovulation), your body doesn't produce the hormone progesterone, as it would during a normal menstrual cycle. This leads to hormone imbalance and may result in menorrhagia. •Uterine fibroids. These noncancerous (benign) tumors of the uterus appear during your childbearing years. Uterine fibroids may cause heavier than normal or prolonged menstrual bleeding. •Polyps. Small, benign growths on the lining of the uterus (uterine polyps) may cause heavy or prolonged menstrual bleeding. Polyps of the uterus most commonly occur in women of reproductive age as the result of high hormone levels. •Adenomyosis. This condition occurs when glands from the endometrium become embedded in the uterine muscle, often causing heavy bleeding and painful menses. Adenomyosis is most likely to develop if you're a middle-aged woman who has had children. •Intrauterine device (IUD). Menorrhagia is a well-known side effect of using a nonhormonal intrauterine device for birth control. When an IUD is the cause of excessive menstrual bleeding, you may need to remove it. ue to a miscarriage. If bleeding occurs at the usual time of menstruation, however, miscarriage is unlikely to be the cause. An ectopic pregnancy — implantation of a fertilized egg within the fallopian tube instead of the uterus — also may cause menorrhagia. •Cancer. Rarely, uterine cancer, ovarian cancer and cervical cancer can cause excessive menstrual bleeding. •Inherited bleeding disorders. Some blood coagulation disorders — such as von Willebrand's disease, a condition in which an important blood-clotting factor is deficient or impaired — can cause abnormal menstrual bleeding. •Medications. Certain drugs, including anti-inflammatory medications and anticoagulants, can contribute to heavy or prolonged menstrual bleeding. •Other medical conditions. A number of other medical conditions, including pelvic inflammatory disease (PID), thyroid problems, endometriosis, and liver or kidney disease, may be associated with menorrhagia. So a thorough physical examination is required to know the Amount and Nature of bleeding and to reach to a diagnosis and treatment be given accordingly as prolonged bleeding can lead to Anaemia, Fatigue and shortness of breath in females So, I would suggest you to Undergo Abdomen Ultrasound to rule out any Medical conditions and following Blood tests Empty stomach to reach to a diagnosis of your problem CBC, THYROID PROFILE, PROLACTIN, LH, FSH, CREATININE, LFT

Dear lybrate user, *do not take more stress. *practice yoga, breathing exercise, meditation to relax and detoxification. *do proper sleep of 6-7 hours. * add protein containing items in your foods for healthy hair growth such as take a bowl of cereal daily and a glass of milk or 100 gm cheese or 1-2 eggs. *apply and massage your scalp with mahabringaraj taila for 10-15 minutes/day, it increases blood circulation and enhance hair growth. *avoid hair colors. * take vitamin-e rich foods like dry fruits (almonds, pista etc) daily. * take 1/2 teaspoon of amla powder with water once a day. *avoid more salt, dry, maida related junk foods. *avoid more coffee, tea, alcohol, smoking.

Take rest avoid strain full activity and take muscle relaxant medicine and heat fermentation twice a day if it work then ok otherwise take physiotherapy treatment. Precautions are. Avoid long standing, sitting, toward bending, lifting heavyweight. And do spine extension exercise in daily routine.

You have not mentioned your age, but if you are young then testicular torsion is a possibility. Testicular torsion is an emergency and you must go to a surgeon immediately. Hi, oats can not help you tremendously in weight gain as it is full of fibre. But taking oats everyday boosts your digestion and helps in better absorption of nutrients that leads to weight gain. You can eat soya bean daily. Half a cup of soya daily is good.

We all are aware of the fact that our height increases up to a particular age and then it comes to a halt. Height increases up to the age of 18years in women and up to the age of 20 years in men. Increase in height is attributed to the production of growth hormone, called the HGH( Human Growth Hormone), which is secreted by the pituitary gland called the master gland of our body. It is rather difficult to increase height after reaching adulthood as the production of these hormones slowly stops. In most cases, the epiphyses of the long bones are fused as the last bits of cartilaginous tissue in the bones turn into solid hard bones. This prevents any further growth in longer bones. However, if the hormones are released naturally, increase in height can be observed.Certain Homoeopathic medicines acts as a catalyst in the production of these hormones even after age of 20. But on the other hand these organic protein powders contains protein which i the building block of our body.These powders provides us all the neecessary body proteins and aminoacids which help in muscle building and they rarely participte in increasing height but I cant comment on the effect of Steroid based Protein powders on height as these are a complete health hazard.

Hello lybrate user. Not feeling fresh after getting up from sleep, feeling less energetic and tiredness throughout the day may normally be present if they are occasional once a while in a person's life. But if this is the story which is being repeated almost everyday for atleast 2 weeks or more than it needs a close evaluation. At your age having persistent pervasive low mood and lack of interest, lack of concentration, forgetting things, lack of concentration, constant tiredness with having headache or head heaviness may be signs of depression. Other thing which we neet to rule out here is any organic cause for the symptoms. So I suggest you to get your thyroid function test, hemogram and mri brain done. You need to get evaluated closely by a psychiatrist and if there are other signs of depression present you may be started on anti-depressants with expecting good amount of improvement in a month of start of medications. Hoping the best for you. Take care.

Dear lybrate user, first of all let me make it clear that you may experience nightfalls for twice in a month if you do not have a habit of masturbation or if you do not indulge in any sexual intercourse. However, if you experience nightfalls for more than twice in a month then it is surely abnormal. Every person experience an erection after a sleep of 6-8 hours. Such an erection during waking up from sleep is a typical characteristic of normal sexual system. An uninterrupted sleep of 6-8 hours pacifies the nerves which get hyper-activated after a long day's work & results in a sexual arousal by channelising the blood flow towards the male sexual system. But an erected penis cannot ejaculate involuntarily unless it is being rubbed as it undergoes during masturbation & sexual intercourse. Involuntary ejaculation of semen indicates that the internal muscles of your pelvic region are not strong enough to control the outflow of semen. However, nightfalls indicate that you are having a normal erection as well as it also proves that there is no deficit of sperm production in testis. Nightfall implies that there is only loss of control of the pelvic muscles. It is often observed that an unmarried person suffering from nightfalls complains of premature ejaculation after marriage if his problem of nightfalls is left untreated. The cause behind such quick discharge during sex is same as it is in case of nightfalls i. E. Loss of the control of the muscles of pelvic region. To get rid of nightfalls carry on the following medication as directed:- 1) soak 5 grams of fennel seeds (snouff) & 5 grams of rock candy (misri) in a glass of water before going to bed daily. Hi, from your question I could understand that you want to increase your body weight and muscle. We can increase our body weight by taking any foods but it should be healthy. So you should follow a healthy food and lifestyle. So you should include a balance diet which contains fats, carbohydrates and more proteins. Take food 4 or 5 times in a day that include snacks, drink lots of water and try to get proper sleep of 8 hrs continuously. Also make sure that you are doing some physical activities like regular exercise or involve in sports and games.
