Avoid strain to back, avoid lifting any weights, avoid bending forward, hot fomentation to back (make sure no burns. Do back strengthening and core activation exercises with a physiotherapist. Consult an orthopaedic surgeon if needed.

Hi lybrate-user, don't worry it can be cure easily, if the condition is acute and yours slr test is poitive you can do extention types of exercises only, in chronic case with slr test negative you can switch in to flexion based exercises. Or you can visit near by physiotherapy center ,physiotherapy treatment has been shown to help with pain from sciatica by reducing inflammation and relieving muscle tension. Adjust your eating routine. Try to eat when you have good muscle strength. Take your time chewing your food, and take a break between bites of food. It is suggestible to wear lumbo sacral belt which would help you to build the abdominal muscle tone which itself would make you feel better. You can also wear mcr chappals which would help you to have less weight falling in the painful back.
