Hi, As you have been facing hair fall for such a long time you need to undergo some investigation to exactly find out the exact cause of hairfall. If you treat the cause then your hairfall will completely stop. Hair Thinning is a developed stage of hairfall. Causes of hair loss 1. Nutritional deficiencies It could be possible that essential nutrients may be missing from your diet such as iron, copper, zinc and proteins. Deficiency of vitamin D is another cause of hair loss. In order to avoid this, make sure to get out and soak up some sun. 2. Hormonal Imbalance After the age of 30, women can experience hormonal imbalance which can cause hair loss. This is usually caused by excessive dihydrotestosterone (DHT) conversion. Even though estrogen is the main hormone that women produce, testosterone and other androgens such as DHEA also occur in the female body. As women reach a certain age, they may begin to convert these androgens to DHT. 3. Thyroid issues If the thyroid gland, which is at the front of the neck, produces excessive or an insufficient amount of the thyroid hormone, then the hair growth cycle may change. However, if you do have a thyroid issue, you will notice other symptoms along with hair loss such as weight gain or loss, sensitivity to cold or heat, and changes in heart-rate. 4. Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) Women with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) have a hormonal imbalance which creates higher levels of androgens than normal. This often causes hair to grow on the face and body, while hair on the head grows thinner. PCOS can also lead to ovulation problems, acne, and weight gain. 5. Birth Control Pills Birth control pills can cause hair loss. The hormones in the pill that suppress ovulation can cause hair to thin, especially in women with a family history of hair loss. Sometimes hair loss can occur when you stop taking the pill. Other drugs associated with hair loss are blood thinners and medicines that treat high blood pressure, heart disease, arthritis, and depression. 6. Stress Extreme stress can cause sudden hair loss which could last for several months. Minimizing stress through exercise, meditation yoga and massages will reduce your chances of experiencing hair loss. 7. Hair styling products Over-treated hair can lead to hair loss due to the toxic chemicals found in dyes and styling products. Similarly, almost all shampoos contain Sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS) which has a toxic effect on your immune system and has been proven to corrode hair follicles and impede hair growth. It is advisable to stick to natural shampoos and dyes. 8. Medical Conditions - Telogen effluvium general shedding from all over the head. We typically lose some 100 hairs a day but sometimes shedding accelerates due to stress, illness, medication or hormones. Hair generally grows back within six months. - Androgenetic alopecia in women, hair generally thins in the top, frontal area, just behind the hair line, but stays thick at the back. An enzyme causes conversion of the male sex hormone testosterone to another hormone, dihydrotestosterone (DHT), causing the hair follicles to produce thinner hair until they stop. - Alopecia areata an autoimmune disease that affects up to 2% of the population. It causes round patches of hair loss and can lead to total baldness. In many cases, the hair regrows. - Ageing As we age, the rate at which our hair grows tends to slows down. Hair strands get smaller and have less pigment, and hair becomes thinner, finer, and grey. In order to keep your hair healthy, eat whole foods which help to keep your body youthful, as well as your hair. If you have premature grey hair, you can find here natural supplements that can help you. - Genetics Hair loss that is genetic is known as androgenetic alopecia and is known to be the most common cause of hair loss. The gene can be inherited from either your mother's or father's side of the family, though you're more likely to have it if both of your parents had hair loss. Tips for controlling hair fall 1. Shampoo It is extremely important to understand your scalp type and choose the right shampoo. Also, you need to wash your hair depending upon your scalp. For instance, over washing hair with dry scalp can lead to hair fall, or not washing oily locks thrice a week can lead to the same. Further, make sure the shampoo is not loaded with chemicals including sulfate, paraben and silicone that can make your tresses brittle and hence, prone to breakage. 2. Conditioner A good conditioner can work wonders for your locks. It contains amino acids that help to repair damaged hair, and also helps to keep them smooth. 3. Diet and Exercise You need to feed your hair all the right nutrients particularly plenty of protein and iron. However, along with eating a balanced diet ensure you are exercising side by side. Yoga and meditation are effective in reducing hair fall. 4. Chemical Treatments Undergoing rigorous hair treatments like straightening, perming and colouring are definitely not kind to your tresses. Further avoid using blow dryers, curling rods, especially on wet hair as they actually boil the water in your hair shaft and make them brittle. If you really need to use a blow dry, then keep it on the lowest heat setting. If using other products that heat your hair, start with a fortifying leave-in conditioner and finish with a protective spray. 5. Oiling Oiling improves blood circulation and nourishes the roots. Make sure to massage your tresses once a week with oil that suits your scalp. Cover it with a shower cap and wash it off with a mild shampoo after two hours. 6. Too many styling products Using too many chemically laden products on your hair could prove harmful in the long run. It’s best to give them a break and try natural home-made recipes instead. Harmful fairness creams Did you know that most fairness creams have active ingredients like mercurous chloride, which acts as as a bleach and causes all the harm to your skin. Moreover, the high levels of steroids in fairness creams can cause sensitivity, redness and thinning of skin. Constant use of these fairness products can harm your skin and make your skin sensitive to light that cause blisters, sun burns and itchiness whenever you go out in the sun. Caution: fairness creams can only work to a certain extent. The fact is fairness products can only reduce tan and and restore the natural skin tone. Overuse of some skin-whitening products can also lead to severe skin damage. PIMPLES-An inflammatory disease of the sebaceous glands and hair follicles of the skin that is marked by the eruption of pimples or pustules, especially on the face. A comedo is a clogged hair follicle (pore) in the skin.[1] Keratin (skin debris) combines with oil to block the follicle.[2] A comedo can be open (blackhead) or closed by skin (whitehead), and occur with or without acne.[2] The word comedo comes from Latin to suggest the worm-like look of a blackhead that has been secreted.[3] The plural of comedo is comedones.[3] The chronic inflammatory condition that usually includes both comedones and inflamed papules and pustules (pimples) is called acne.[2][4] Infection causes inflammation and the development of pus.[1] Whether or not a skin condition classifies as acne depends on the amount of comedones and infection.[4] Comedones should not be confused with sebaceous filaments. When the sebaceous glands in the skin produce excessive sebum (oil), the skin becomes excessively oily and you will develop acne, pimples, pores, white heads, and black heads. Oily skin can be caused by genetics, dietary choices, too much stress or hormone changes in the body, during menstrual cycles, pregnancy, or menopause and while taking birth control pills. Those who have this condition usually have shiny skin and large pores. Homoeopathy has good treatment for your problem without adverse effects. Sweat moisture is one of the major reasons for causing fungal infection. So, please ensure that your sweaty clothes are changed at the earliest and have bath thereafter. *. If you are exposed to direct sun or hot humid weather, it is all the more important. Avoid exposure to sun from 10 am to 4 pm as far as possible. *. Taking bath twice a day is better. We have to make it a point not to neglect cleaning any part of our body, particularly folds, narrow gaps between fingers and the like. *. If you wear synthetic T-shirts without a banyan, the T-shirt may cause you skin allergy. Please wear hosiery cotton banyan which absorbs your sweat. *.Banyan also helps in absorbing sweat which is necessary so that the sweat moisture does not cause skin problem. If you observe all measures of hygiene, treatment of skin disease will be effective. We have effective treatment in homoeopathy. Growth-- Take protein rich food ---eggs, milk products, dry fruits, seeds, pulses, mutter, soya bean. Cereals, potatoes, sweet potatoes, plantains etc. Can be useful for gaining weight. Also take vegetables, greens and fruits. Have vigorous physical exercise to improve digestion and absorption of food as well as blood circulation. Eat at regular intervals. Threptin biscuits will be helpful. Homoeopathic treatment will be beneficial to you. Proteins- Proteins are required- * to build and repair muscle. * to revive fat-burning metabolism and reducing the hunger * to slow the release of carbohydrates into your bloodstream, which can prevent the sudden spikes in blood sugar that are thought to encourage fat storage and sagging energy levels. *Biological value—a measure of how much protein from the food can be incorporated into proteins in the body * The biological value is largely dictated by the amount of essential amino acids a food possesses *Better to go for natural proteins than processed foods High protein foods- Eggs-Milk and cheese Soy milk—Nuts/pulses/ lentils/beans and green peas- Growth question answered--- For growth, you need proteins. Milk and cheese Soy milk—Nuts/pulses/ lentils/beans and green peas-all have proteins. As vegetarian, you can have all these items. You have tur dal, moog dal, udat dal, chana dal, mutter, rajma--and many other such proteins. In winter, you can have dry fruits which are seeds. Proteins are required- * to build and repair muscle. * to revive fat-burning metabolism and reducing the hunger * to slow the release of carbohydrates into your bloodstream, which can prevent the sudden spikes in blood sugar that are thought to encourage fat storage and sagging energy levels. Next question is---How much protein from the food can be incorporated into proteins in the body. The point is --you may eat lots of proteins. Are sure all these proteins are absorbed into your body? If you have adequate physical exercise, your digestion and capacity to absorb the proteins into the system will greatly improve. Then only, the real benefit of taking proteins will come to you. Eating proteins is as important as vigorous exercise to absorb the protein. *Better to go for natural proteins than processed foods. Processed foods have chemicals added in the process, preservatives, colouring chemicals to make them attractive. These chemicals are not friendly to your system. SKIN Treatment--The skin disease is tenacious and takes some time to start the curative process. Needs close monitoring and review of prescriptions from time to time based on the response One of the reasons is wetness due to sweat in the area. This, in turn, is due to hot humid weather and tight clothing. Frequent washing, cleaning, light clothing and ventilation to the area helps. Another major reason is allergy due to handling and exposure to many allergens. This is to be treated with proper homoeopathic medicine. Homoeopathy has good treatment for your skin problem without adverse effects. The medicine tackles the root of the problem, acts internally and gradually expels the toxins from the body. It heals from inside out unlike superficial treatment of an ointment. With homoeopathic treatment, it softens and pain reduces. Then it opens up on maturity and pus comes out on its own without any incision. It will heal thereafter. You may consult privately Over time, the area becomes firm, hard, and increasingly tender. Eventually, the center of the boil softens and becomes filled with infection-fighting white blood cells from the bloodstream to eradicate the infection. This collection of white blood cells, bacteria, and proteins is known as pus. Finally, the pus "forms a head, which can be surgically opened or may spontaneously drain out through the surface of the skin. Pus enclosed within tissue is referred to as an abscess. A boil is also referred to as a skin abscess. Boils can occur anywhere on the body, including the trunk, extremities, buttocks, or other areas. We have good homoeopathic treatment without adverse effects. The medicine acts internally, tackles the root of the problem. If the boil is about to form, it will subside. If it is fully formed, by taking the medicine it gets softened, opens up on its own without any need of puncturing. Pain and swelling will recede and gradual healing takes place. Scabies Scabies is an itchy skin condition caused by the microscopic mite Sarcoptes scabei. It is common all over the world, and can affect anyone. Scabies spreads quickly in crowded conditions where there is frequent skin-to-skin contact between people. Hospitals, child-care centers, and nursing homes are examples. Scabies can easily infect sex partners and other household members. Sharing clothes, towels, and bedding can sometimes spread scabies. This can happen much more easily when the infested person has crusted scabies. You cannot get scabies from a pet. Pets get a different mite infection called mange. Symptoms are •Pimple-like irritations or a rash •Intense itching, especially at night •Sores caused by scratching

Pressure upon the arm nerves or vessels causing numbness, tingling or temporary paralysis of the arm may result from: Sleeping with the hand under the head Sitting with the arm hanging over the back of a chair Wearing straps or carrying a bag or rucksack Inflated cuff during measuring blood pressure Raising the Arms Above the Level of the Heart Keeping the hand (s) above the level of the heart during work or sleep can prevent appropriate blood perfusion of the hands, and cause numbness, tingling or partial paralysis of the hand (s) within few minutes. Cold In cold weather, narrowing of the arteries in the hands and fingers can prevent appropriate blood supply and thus numbness, tingling, pain or temporary paralysis of the hands and fingers. DISORDERS OF THE NECK (CERVICAL) SPINE Cervical Disk Syndrome Degenerative disc disease (DDD) or injury, like hyper-extension injury in car accidents (head moves rapidly toward the back), can result in bulging or herniated disc (s) pressing upon the cervical (neck) spinal nerves, thus causing symptoms of cervical disc syndrome: Position/movement dependent pain, tingling or numbness in the neck, shoulders, upper back, arm, hand or fingers (when the roots of cervical spinal nerves are compressed) Stumbling gait, difficulty with fine hand moves, tingling in the body or legs (when the cervical spinal cord is compressed) Symptoms can appear immediately after the injury, or develop slowly over the weeks or months. Diagnosis is made by a CT or MRI of the neck spine. Therapy includes immobilization, cold therapy followed by heat therapy, cervical traction, analgesics, muscle relaxants, physical therapy or surgical decompression of the nerve roots or spinal cord. Cervical Spondylosis Cervical spondylosis is an age-related deformation of the cervical spine; deformed vertebra or discs can press upon the spinal cord or nerve roots in the neck and cause chronic symptoms, like in the cervical disc syndrome (see above). INJURIES Disorders of the Brachial Plexus The brachial plexus is formed by the cervical nerves C5-C8 and thoracic nerve Th1. The plexus extends from the lower part of the neck to the armpit. From brachial plexus all main nerves to the arm (axillary, musculocutaneus, ulnar, radial, and median nerve) arise. Brachial Plexus Injuries Most of brachial plexus injuries usually occur in car, motorcycle and sport accidents, during birth, or in bullet or knife injuries. Symptoms and prognosis depend on the nerves involved and extent of an injury: nerve stretching, scar tissue (neuroma), partial or complete nerve rupture or tearing of the nerve from the spinal cord. A limp or paralyzed arm, severe pain and numbness, especially in the neck and shoulders, and weak arterial pulses in the arm are main symptoms. Some brachial plexus injuries may heal without treatment. Many children who are injured during birth improve or recover by 3 to 4 months of age. Treatment of brachial plexus injuries includes physical therapy and, if necessary, surgery. Thoracic Outlet Syndrome Thoracic outlet is the space between the collar bone (clavicle), first rib and corresponding ligaments through which nerves and vessels travel from the base of the neck toward the armpit. Thoracic outlet syndrome (TOS) results from a compression or extension of the subclavian artery or vein, or brachial plexus (nerves), commonly occurring in motorbike accidents, athletes, swimmers, weight lifters, etc. Symptoms include: Muscle wasting at the base of the thumb, numbness, feeling of pins and needles, or pain in the shoulder, armpit, arm or hand (when nerves are compressed) Pale, cool arm with weakened arterial pulse in the arm, numbness and pain (when vessels are compressed) Radiation-Induced Brachial Plexopathy Radiation-induced damage of the brachial plexus can follow radiotherapy of the chest, axillary region, thoracic outlet or neck. Symptoms may appear months to years after radiation therapy and include numbness, swelling, weakness or pain in the arm. Broken Shoulder Blade Shoulder blade (scapula) is the bone in the upper back that connects the collar bone (clavicle) and arm bone (humerus). Broken shoulder blade, usually from a car or motorbike accident, can result in pain, swelling, bruising or deformation of the shoulder blade area, and weakness, numbness or tingling in the shoulder or arm. Broken Arm, Wrist, Hand or Finger Symptoms of broken arm (the arm bone â humerus, elbow, and bones of the forearm â radius and ulna) include: Severe pain increasing with arm movement Obvious deformity, swelling, tenderness and bruising over the site of bone fracture Stiffness or inability to move your arm, hand or finger Weakness, numbness or tingling in the arm, hand or fingers Cubital Tunnel Syndrome or Ulnar Neuropathy The ulnar nerve arises from the brachial plexus in the neck and travels under the collar bone, downside along the inner side of the upper arm, behind the inner part of the elbow (Latin cubitus), where it can be felt as a âfunny boneâ and then down to the wrist, hand and little and ring finger. Ulnar nerve entrapment usually results from an elbow injury or constant pressure upon the elbow, like in cyclists or typists. Symptoms, known as cubital tunnel syndrome, include: Pain on the inner side of the elbow or electric shock sensation after touching the elbow The hand, ring and little finger are numb and falling asleep, especially after bending the elbow Limited movements of the ring and little finger (âhandlebar palsyâ in cyclists) Hand (on the little finger side) sensitivity to cold Prevention of ulnar nerve entrapment is by avoiding excessive elbow use. Treatment includes special arm exercises, anti-inflammatory drugs, like ibuprofen, and wearing an elbow splint. DISORDERS OF THE SPINAL CORD AND BRAIN Multiple Sclerosis Multiple sclerosis is a disease of an uncertain cause affecting the nerve tissue of the spinal cord, brainstem or brain. Symptoms can appear suddenly or gradually, âtravelâ among various body parts and include: numbness or tingling in one or both arms (or any other body part), blurred or double vision or blindness, weak or paralysed limbs, problems with urinating or defecating, difficulty maintaining balance, tiredness, etc. Symptoms can last from few weeks to several months, disappear completely and appear again, and, in general, worsen with time. Diagnosis is with MRI of the brain and spinal cord, and examination of cerebrospinal fluid obtained by lumbar punction. Apart from treating symptoms, there is no treatment for multiple sclerosis at the time. ACUTE BRACHIAL NEURITIS Acute brachial neuritis is a rare, supposedly autoimmune inflammation of brachial plexus, occurring at any age, but primarily in young men. Symptoms include severe pain in the upper arms and shoulders, followed by numbness and weak reflexes; the disorder resolves in few months on its own. WRIST DISORDERS Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS) Carpal tunnel syndrome (Latin carpus = wrist) is a painful condition of the wrist, hand and fingers, caused by repetitive use of the wrist, or swelling of the tissues in the wrist, resulting in a pressure upon the median nerve. CTS is a common problem in assembly line workers, computer workers, musicians, mechanics, tennis players, etc. Bone spurs in rheumatoid arthritis, or fluid in hypothyroidism, kidney disease or menopause may also press on the median nerve. Symptoms usually start gradually and include: Tingling or numbness in the thumb, index, middle and ring finger and related part of the hand Pain in the wrist, palm or forearm Difficulty grasping small objects or gripping Hand pain at night Ganglion Cyst Ganglion cyst (Greek ganglion = tumor, cyst = fluid filled sac) is a soft lump, usually appearing on the back of the hand in some people between 20-40 years of age. It is a noncancerous fluid filled sack arising from the tendon sheets or capsule of the joint from an unknown reason. Ganglion cysts may not be always seen from the outside. Gymnasts often have them. Symptoms include: A soft lump or lumps of various size (may exceed an inch), on the back of the hand, inner side of the wrist, base of the finger, or on the last finger joint. Pain or numbness in the wrist, hand or finger (s) DISORDERS OF FINGER ARTERIES Raynaudâs Disease Raynaudâs disease is a painful finger condition due to spasms in the finger arteries. Disease may also affect toes or, rarely, nose, ears, lips and nipples. The cause is not known. Symptoms are triggered by cold (even short term cold like taking something from a freezer) or strong emotions, and appear in the following sequence: Fingers (one, more or all in one or both hands) become pale, numb or cold due to lack of blood flow, then bluish due to a lack of oxygen, then red, with throbbing pain and tingling as blood returns to the affected area. Attacks can occur daily, weekly or occasionally and can last from less than a minute to several hours, usually about 15 minutes. Different areas can be affected at different times. Severe, although rare, attacks can result in finger sores or tissue death (gangrene). Raynaudâs Phenomenon Raynaudâs phenomenon is a term used for the same finger symptoms as in Raynaudâs disease, when the cause is known. Causes include: connective tissue diseases, like scleroderma, systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), Sjögrenâs syndrome, dermatomyositis, and polymyositis, carpal tunnel syndrome, obstructive arterial disease, anti-hypertensive drugs, ergotamine (used for treating migraine), chemotherapeutic medications, etc. In workers exposed to vinyl chloride, using vibrating tools, typists and pianists, Raynaudâs phenomenon also commonly occurs. DIAGNOSIS OF ARM NUMBNESS OR TINGLING History of arm numbness. Knowing an exact time course of tingling or numbness, and eventual arm weakness, head or legs involvement, history of arm or neck injuries, repetitive elbow or wrist use, reactions to cold, hypothyroidism, diabetes, menopause may give a strong evidence about the cause. Neurological examination. Testing of sensitivity of a particular arm dermatome can reveal which nerves are involved. Imaging. X-ray may reveal arthritis in the neck spine, or a broken arm bone. Myelography can reveal herniated disc or narrowed spinal canal. MRI and CT show soft tissues like tumors. Electromiography (EMG) and nerve conduction studies can show the nature of the nerve damage. Together with imaging they are important to evaluate the extent of brachial plexus injury. Blood tests can reveal diabetes, abnormalities in serum levels of sugar (diabetes), calcium, potassium, sodium, magnesium, vitamins B6 or B12, thyroxine (hypothyroidism), sex hormones (menopause). Cold simulation test can reveal Raynaudâs disease or phenomenon. TREATMENT OF ARM NUMBNESS OR TINGLING Firstly, the cause of numbness should be treated if possible. Non-steroid anti-rheumatic drugs like ibuprofen, or antidepressants, may relieve pain and numbness.

Head ache can be of many reasons and the commonest is visual refractive error of eyes, Checking eyes and correcting errors can cure headaches, similarly the cause can be migraine and tension. Tension relieving methods and migraine medication can sure these. This includes the blood vessels, muscles and nerves of the head and neck. They may also result from changes in chemical activity in the brain. Primary headaches can occur when pain-sensitive structures in the head do not work properly. Common primary headaches include migraines, cluster headaches and tension headaches. Headache is a broad term that encompasses many different things. Headaches are pains that occur in any region of the head; they can occur on both sides the head or be isolated to a certain location. Headaches can radiate across the head from a central point or have a pincering vise-like quality. They can be sharp, throbbing or dull, appear gradually or suddenly and last for multiple days or less than an hour.4 There are multiple ways to define headaches. The International Headache Society (IHS) categorize headaches as primary headaches or secondary headaches, depending on what has caused them 1) Primary headaches Primary headaches are stand-alone illnesses caused directly by the overactivity of, or problems with, structures in the head that are pain-sensitive. This includes the blood vessels, muscles and nerves of the head and neck. They may also result from changes in chemical activity in the brain. Primary headaches can occur when pain-sensitive structures in the head do not work properly. Common primary headaches include migraines, cluster headaches and tension headaches. Some types of headache can be both primary and secondary as they may be an isolated issue or a result of another condition or illness. Such headaches can involve: Direct physical stimuli, such as temperature and external pressure Pain over the scalp (epicranial) Physical exertion Other miscellaneous headaches. 2) Secondary headaches Secondary headaches are headaches that are symptoms of another condition that stimulates the pain-sensitive nerves of the head. There are a vast number of different conditions that can cause secondary headaches, ranging in severity from an alcohol-induced hangover to a brain tumor. Secondary headaches can be the result of serious conditions such as stroke, but can equally be a consequence of eating cold food too quickly. In addition to those two examples, the following list should serve to illustrate the variety of different conditions that can cause secondary headaches: Blood clots Brain freeze (ice cream headaches) Carbon monoxide poisoning Concussion Dehydration Glaucoma Influenza Overuse of pain medication (rebound headaches) Panic attacks Stroke. As headaches can be a symptom of a serious condition, it is important to seek medical advice if headaches become more severe, regular or persistent. For example, if the headache is more painful and disruptive than previous headaches, worsens or fails to improve with medication or is accompanied by other symptoms such as confusion, fever, sensory changes and stiffness, a health care provider should be contacted.

According to symptoms you you're narrating it is migraine headache for more details go through the article below and if willing can consult me A migraine headache is a primary headache disorder that affects approximately 12% of the population. It is a headache that tends to recur in an individual and is moderate to severe if left untreated. It can be one sided, throbbing and aggravated by routine physical activity. It can be associated with light and sound and even smell sensitivity and many patients will become nauseated with it.. In a minority of patients there can be visual or sensory changes before, during or after the headache, known as auras. What Causes a Migraine The exact causes of migraines are unknown, although they are related to changes in the brain as well as to genetic causes. People with migraines may inherit the tendency to be affected by certain migraine triggers, such as fatigue, bright lights, weather changes and others. For many years, scientists believed that migraines were linked to the expanding (dilation) and constriction (narrowing) of blood vessels on the brain?s surface. However, it is now believed that migraine is caused by inherited abnormalities in certain areas of the brain. There is a migraine "pain center" or generator in the mid-brain area. A migraine begins when hyperactive nerve cells send out impulses to the blood vessels leading to the dilation of these vessels and the release of prostaglandins, serotonin and other inflammatory substances that cause the pulsation to be painful. Certain brain cells that use serotonin as a messenger are involved in controlling mood, attention, sleep, and pain. Therefore, chronic changes in serotonin can lead to anxiety, panic disorder, and depression. What Triggers a Migraine Many migraines seem to be triggered by external factors. Migraine sufferers can help the physician identify these triggers. Possible triggers include: Emotional stress is one of the most common triggers of migraine headache. Migraine sufferers generally are highly affected by stressful events. During stressful events, certain chemicals in the brain are released to combat the situation . The release of these chemicals can provoke migraine. Repressed emotions surrounding stress, such as anxiety, worry, excitement and fatigue can increase muscle tension and dilated blood vessels can intensify the severity of migraine. Sensitivity to specific chemicals and preservatives in foods. Certain foods and beverages, such as aged cheese, alcoholic beverages, and food additives such as nitrates and monosodium glutamate may be responsible for triggering up to 30% of migraines. Caffeine. Excessive caffeine consumption or withdrawal from caffeine can cause headaches when the caffeine level abruptly drops. The blood vessels seem to become sensitized to caffeine, and when caffeine is not ingested, a headache may occur. Caffeine itself is often helpful in treating acute migraine attacks. Changing weather conditions such as storm fronts, barometric pressure changes, strong winds or changes in altitude Menstrual periods Tension Excessive fatigue Missing meals Changes in normal sleep pattern Are migraines hereditary? Yes, migraines have a tendency to run in families. Four out of 5 migraine sufferers have a family history of migraines. If one parent has a history of migraines, the child has a 50% chance of developing migraines, and if both parents have a history of migraines, the risk jumps to 75%. What are the symptoms of migraines? The symptoms of migraine headaches can occur in various combinations and include: Type of pain The pain of a migraine can be described as a pounding or throbbing. The headache often begins as a dull ache and develops into throbbing pain. The pain is usually aggravated by physical activity. Severity/intensity of pain The pain of a migraine can be described as mild, moderate, or severe. Untreated the headache will become moderate to severe Location of pain The pain can shift from one side of the head to the other, or it can affect the front of the head or feel like it?s affecting the whole head. Duration of pain Most migraines last about 4 hours, although severe ones can last up to a week. Frequency of headaches The frequency of migraines varies widely among individuals. It is common for a migraine sufferer to get 2-4 headaches per month. Some people, however, may get headaches every few days, while others only get a migraine once or twice a year. Associated symptoms Sensitivity to light, noise and odors Nausea and vomiting, stomach upset, abdominal pain Loss of appetite Sensations of being very warm or cold Paleness Fatigue Dizziness Blurred vision Diarrhea Migraine with aura Migraine without aura "Aura" is a physiological warning sign that a migraine is about to begin. What are the symptoms of migraines with aura? Migraines with auras occur in about 15-20% of migraine sufferers. An aura can occur before, during, or after the pain occurs and last from 15 to 60 minutes. The symptoms always last less than one hour. Visual auras include: Bright flashing dots or lights Blind spots Distorted vision Temporary vision loss Wavy or jagged lines There are also auras that can affect the other senses. These auras can be described simply as having a "funny feeling," or the person may not be able to describe the aura. Other auras may include ringing in the ears (tinnitus), or having changes in smell (such as strange odors), taste, or touch. Retinal migraine: temporary, partial or complete loss of vision in one eye, along with a dull ache behind the eye that may spread to the rest of the head. Basilar artery migraine: dizziness, confusion or loss of balance can precede the headache. The headache pain may affect the back of the head. These symptoms usually occur suddenly and can be associated with the inability to speak properly, ringing in the ears, and vomiting. This type of migraine is strongly related to hormonal changes and primarily affects young adult women. Status migrainosus: a rare and severe type of migraine that can last 72 hours or longer. The pain and nausea are so intense that people who have this type of headache often need to be hospitalized. Certain medications, or medication withdrawal, can cause this type migraine syndrome. Ophthalmoplegic migraine: pain around the eye, including paralysis in the muscles surrounding the eye. This is an emergency medical condition, as the symptoms can also be caused by pressure on the nerves behind the eye or an aneurysm. Other symptoms of ophthalmoplegic migraines include droopy eyelid, double vision, or other vision changes. What are the symptoms of migraines without aura Migraines without auras are more common, occurring in 80 to 85 percent of migraine sufferers. Several hours before the onset of the headache, the person can experience vague symptoms, including: Anxiety Depression Fatigue or tiredness How are migraines treated? Many medications are available to treat migraines. Homeopathy Management Homeopathy has always cured so many cases of migraine I have my personal experience in curing migraine so nicely with homeopathy In other systems they called it incurable but in homeopathy its curable.Migraine is one of the diseases for which homeopathy can positively do something. Here there is another special significance. In Allopathic medicine there is no remedy for this disease. So it is common to find patients coming for homeopathy treatment after suffering for 10 to 15 years, despite allopathic treatment. And Homeopathy does wonders for the migraine, where patient has no other option. For chronic & acute conditions patient needs constitutional treatment to reduce the recurrence of attacks and pain here few therapeutic index i had taken from Nash which really helped me lot in acute condition, but remember its constitutional which works well .
