Hello, thanks for the query. I have seen the details given. From the information given it is clear that she has uncontrolled blood glucose (hba1c%11.9%) & high fasting glucose. The condition is t2 diabetes. Usually when hba1c% goes beyond 9% on detection, a doctors advise insulin initially for a period of 3 to 4 months along with some oral antidiabetics. Once glucose levels are brought in good control, then patient can be shifted to only oral drugs. As regards dyslipidemia (high cholesterol), that will get corrected with appropriate treatment and diabetes control. From the query I am not able to place where are you based. According to me there is no reason to do any other tests. Priority is to get her glucose levels under control. Since this is an open question, here we are supposed to give only general advise. No drugs can be prescribed or recommended. Water can be taken. Post-prandial blood glucose (ppbg) 2 hours after eating either breakfast or lunch. Random blood glucose (rbg)- this is done any time of the day. Another important aspect with regard to your weight and height with a bmi (body mass index) of 28.67 kgs/sq meter (normal < 23 kgs/sq meter) you have an excess of over 15 kgs. This causes hindrance in insulin action and hence bad glucose control. So there is a need for reducing the weight to desired level.
