Dear Lybrate user, the growth of child depends upon the mother's diet during pregnancy and also after delivery of feeding milk by mother. And if baby seems to be very weak and not so much active then you should take homoeopathic treatment and for best homoeopathic treatment you may contact us.

My wife, age 27 year undergoing ocd treatment since our marriage about last 3.5 years. She was taking sertraline .we are not planning for baby for this medication, thought once medication stops or reduced we will plan for a child. In the mean time I change my job and move to new city. We approach a new doctor, we explain all things to doctor, doctors advice’s to postpone our child planning for few months, and doctor wants result and wants to change medicine, prescribed flunil 40, clonil 25, rospitril 0.5. Last 20 days she was taking this medicine. Now problem is she missed her period and we check for pregnancy and found positive. Consult gynecologist, and gynecologist said it has been 34 days she pregnant. Please suggest what to do now, should we continue pregnancy? Or abort it and continue medication? As the medicines are not safe for pregnancy and it is going to our first child, I do not want to take any risk.

Hi, data on use of these medications in pregnancy is limited but studies have not found an increased risk of malformations in the baby with their (fluoxetine, chlorpromazine and risperidone) use in pregnancy. A detailed scan to look at the baby’s body parts should be performed between 18-20 weeks of pregnancy. The medicines should be switched to single instead of multiple if possible after review by the psychiatrist. Also, the baby needs to be observed after birth as it may show withdrawl symptoms (irritability, increased body tone and crying) after birth if the mother is taking the medicines late in pregnancy.

There's no test to definitively diagnose pcos so far, we need to discuss your medical history, including your menstrual periods and weight changes. A physical exam will include checking for signs of excess hair growth, insulin resistance and acne. Post studying your case i'll be able to come to the conclusion whether to go for pelvic examination, blood tests and ultrasounds. Pregnancy tests are accurate when they’re used correctly. It's possible to have a false negative, which happens when you’re pregnant but the test says you aren't. There are various methods to check whether you are pregnant or not. It may includes home pregnancy test, clinical urine test, blood test. One can go for a pregnancy test if symptoms like sensitivity increment, swollen breasts, nausea, vomiting are noticed.

Pls let me know r der affects of thyroid on my pregnancy? Pls reply mam/sir? I am worried.

Normal level of thyroid hormone is desirable for pregnancy, its maintenance and proper development of fetus. You have not mentioned your tsh level.in first trimester it should be kept around 2 and in second and third trimester it should be kept around 3.it should be tested every month. You should be under supervision of a physician/endocrinologist throughout pregnancy and thereafter.

Anti pregnancy pills may have some serious side effects that can affect your menstrual cycle in a negative way. If you are a regular consumer of anti pregnancy pills then it may cause some serous headache, nausea and some other problems. Especially if you a have bad medical history in your family I might become more severe. Unintentional weight gain occurs when you put on weight without increasing your consumption of food or liquid and without decreasing your activity. This occurs when you’re not trying to gain weight. It’s often due to fluid retention, abnormal growths, constipation, or pregnancy. Unintentional weight gain can be periodic, continuous, or rapid. Periodic unintentional weight gain includes regular fluctuations in weight. Changing food habit and regular workout may help you to lose your weight effectively.
