Hello lybrate-user, please stop using melacare cream completely. It is a triple combination cream and is not to be used for long as it contains a steroid. After stopping itâs usage your skin can start showing signs of steroid overuse such as increased pigmentation, thinning, hair growth etc. Use a mild facial cleanser and a good moisturiser and a sunscreen for now. Consult a dermatologist for further treatment.

Hi! pigmentation can be due to multiple causes, like nutritional deficiencies like b12 deficiency, ferritin deficiency, hormonal imbalances like thyroid, pcod, sensitive skin, genetic factors, obesity etc .we should examine and find out the cause and prescribe accordingly. Most of the times, spots will respond to azaelic acid/kojic/ glycolic acid creams. But be sure to start the cream at night along with sunscreen application in the morning. Your skin seems to sensitive ,better you use mild cleanser to prevent from dryness and redness. Please stop using skinlite cream as it contains strong steroid which will cause serious side effects. Steroid induced pimples, photosensitivity that is sensitivity to sunlight, rosacea that is red face, atrophy that is thinning of skin, stretch marks, pigmentation, dryness, severe itching and increase hair growth on the face are many side effects of this. Reports of skin cancer are also there. Please don't use any such steroid containing fairness creams. You will require treatment to slowly reduce the steroid addiction of the skin. First of all for what indication melacare is used? First of all it's not a fairness cream it contains a combination of steroid /hydroquinone /retinoids so it can cause steroid dependence - means you can get colour changes /increased redness of face /skin rashes / thinning of skin if you stop it - there will be increased darkening of skin and burning sensation and redness during day time hydroquinone can cause long term side effects termed oochronosis-irreversible changes so no self medication! hope this helps.
