Hello 27f. Whenever I use ac I am feeling shortness of breath, itchy throat nose irritation. This never happened before. ...

Dear user, the ac seems to be a trigger for you causing allergic symptoms. It is mainly due to dust. I would suggest you clean the ac filter and keep it devoid of dust. If the problem still persists, you should avoid using the ac for a week and see if you feel better. For the itching of the throat, you can do a warm water gargling with salt as a home remedy. It helps with the itching a lot. The minimal pleural effusion could be due to a previous infection which may be the cause for the pain at certain positions. Good luck. You can consult me for more doubts and medications regarding this by clicking on my photo and booking a consultation online, however if you found my answer helpful, please leave a thanks /good feedback as it helps me with my practice. Thank you.

Hello lybrate-user. I understand that your mother is 52 years old and has got widespread pains (more in the hands) and has been diagnosed with arthritis and the routine painkillers are not helping. I need a few more answers before I am able to give a professional opinion on the matter: 1. How long has the problem been there and which all joints or areas hurt apart from her hands? 2. How was she diagnosed with arthritis and do you have any test reports to show (blood tests, xrays, old prescriptions) 3. Does she get any joint stiffness in the morning and if yes how long does it last? In the meantime I can only say that a couple of doses of painkillers will not harm her unless she already has a deranged kidney or liver function. She has probably got a rheumatoid kind of arthritis but I need more reports and answers to confirm. Thanks and regards.
