The foul smelling flatus or flatulence is mainly and usually because of infection of the intestines or constipation. Both the conditions are easily treatable by a family physician. But when you are not responding to the treatments, then some other pathology should also be thought. Colonoscopy i.e. examination of colon by inserting a tube will be required.
