Dear Shubam, You are young and intelligent. This obsessive thinking is making you worry about the friend and create headache. Once you are treated, you can spend your mental energy for the future. Paxinet and fluvoxamine are given in low dose initially so that you don't get side effects. It needs to be increased according to the improvement and side effect every 2-3 weeks. Along with the tablets, you need to undergo ERP (exposure and response prevention) therapy. It may take many months - but you have to take treatment to make a career.

Hi, clomipramine is known to cause dry mouth, drowsiness and sexual dysfunction. Clonazepam might be having an additive effect on drowsiness. You should discuss with your psychiatrist to consider decreasing the dose of clomipramine and gradually tapering off clonazepam, it might help, if it doesn't then you will have to stop clomipramine.

Dear lybrate-user, as you have rightly pointed out fluvoxamine does have side effects of drowsiness which is why you may probably feel lethargic & sleepy. Keeping your age in mind I suggest you start with therapy along with medication. cognitive-behavioral therapy (cbt), a type of psychotherapy, is effective for many people with ocd. Exposure and response prevention (erp), a component of cbt therapy, involves gradually exposing you to a feared object or obsession, having you learn ways to resist the urge to do your compulsive rituals. erp takes effort and practice, but you may enjoy a better quality of life once you learn to manage your obsessions and compulsions. There are multiple issues like ocd, depression and obesity. All these are interrelated. I would like you to add 'walking _ brisk walking'to your treatment regimen. In 2-3 months you will see a much better. Version of yourself. Regarding medications, I would like to modify few things like add on a beta blocker and ssri with better side effect profile. I think we make some small changes in your medications after knowing detailed history. Hello It is essential to assess your condition regarding Obsessive Compulsive disorder if any, or any other problem. Avoid jumping to tablets before proper evaluation. For eg Porno addiction and compulsion are different phenomena. There are good psychological therapies like CBT, whether it is OCD or addiction. Take care
