Cost of the treatment will vary according to your choice that is metallic braces, ceramic braces or Invisalign. Cost also depends on severity of your problem, your place of living and skill/ expertise of the operator. Your age is fine for the treatment. Regarding extraction, if there is less space between your teeth than required to move your teeth into desired position after treatment, extraction is done (1 to 4 teeth) to create space. This space is occupied by tooth movement during the procedure. If you have any other doubt you can contact us personally. Hope it will help you. THANK YOU.

Dear lybrate-user, Opening up of gaps may take place after orthodontic treatment if you are not regular with your retainers, as prescribed by your orthodontist. It is best to consult your orthodontist again who may still be able to close the gaps using the retention plates you have with you. Post closing of gaps, your orthodontist may choose to pur a fixed retainer on the back side of your teeth to prevent opening up of gaps.

Dear lybrate user! It is must to wear retainer after dental brace removal for adequate time. The main purpose of using orthodontic retainer is to stable the teeth moved in new place with the help of orthodontic braces. So don't use a repaired retainer due to loss of it's ability to perfectly retain your orthodonticaly moved teeth. Ask your orthodontist for new retainer. You can also ask your orthodontist for wire free retainer with teeth slot in it. It is more comfortable than wired retainer.
