Yesterday my father checked his blood sugar. Fasting -160 and post lunch -227, he is known diabetic n he will do exercise like treadmill n skipping n yoga 2 hrs in a day. But it is not in control. Yesterday he got a prescription like zorylM1. Should he take full tab even if he was fasting in a day. Kindly tell me.

yes. medicines have to be taken as proper diet as well. I'd the sugar is not in control, it won't come much down even with fasting .Moreover sugar is also made by Liver through a process called hepatogluconeogenesis. so kindly continue

Fasting is not allowed. He should go for medicine. Avoid sugar, junk food and fried food and fruit juices. Continue exercise daily.
