I have bad anxiety and it affects my sleep. I tried taking melatonin but it doesn't work on me. I end up sleeping less when I take it. What else can I use to help me sleep at night?

Dear Lybrate user Taking Medicines for over a longer period of time. Try avoiding these medicines. These shortcuts lead to long term and life long damage. Instead Try include some physical activity in your daily schedule. Physical exercises releases chemicals in brain which will help you in sleep, in turn reducing your anxiety. You can go for brisk walk, workout at gym. Involve your friends and family members in your exercise routine so that it will help you in keep going. You can also take one on one sessions with a Psychologist. Take Care.
