Hello doctors! I am16 years old boy and I am going to US .approx 3 months back a well known psychiatrist, after hearing my problems prescribed me olanzapine ip 2.5 mg and clomipramine hydrochloride tablets for 6 months. But after a month I stopped taking it due to its side effects .now it has been approximately 8 weeks that I am not consuming it. After knowing the consequences of suddenly stopping psychiatrists drugs and not getting well at some extent I want to restart the medicines. Due to some reasons I cannot contact the psychiatrist. So I need advise from you. And if there are some consequences regarding retaking of such drugs then please let me know. Hoping to get reply from your side. I would be very thankful to you. Thank you.

These drugs are important for your treatment and recovery. Instead of stopping on your own you should have consulted the doctor and described the side effects. You should have also combined medication with some counseling for the best results. Now you have lost that opportunity and because of your age, it is important to restart only with a medical prescription and evaluation. Do not self-medicate and also you have to be carefully monitored during use for exactly the reason you quit: the side effects. Please take your complete medical history and prescriptions and meet another doctor near your place and go back to medical and therapeutic support immediately.
