Hello doctor, What is the approximately cost of an ACL reconstruction surgery in India? Doctor has said Rs. SIXTY THOUSAND excluding hospital charges for the surgery. At this price range, what kind of graft would be used? If it is a synthetic graft which has used, what is the pros and cons of this type of grafts. What is the life span of synthetic grafts? Kindly help me. Thank you.

All things depend on your choice of hospital and city in india. As you go through expert you new to pay more amount. It will expense around 1-2.5 lakh all including hospital and all. 3-5 day stay in hospital needed.

Dear lybrate-user, average cost for arthroscopic acl surgery with imported implants vary from 70k to 3lk depending on the hospital. Cost goes up if we use lot of disposable items. It can be as less as 40k with locally made implants in a smaller hospital with open technique. Synthetic grafts are not commonly used in india and its no longer preferred worldwide. Regards.
