I want to get the frenulum of my tongue cut so that I can stretch my tongue out more. How much will it cost me and how long does it normally take for it to heal? And what is the procedure? Local anesthesia will be applied?

Hello Mr. Lybrate-user, apologize for the delay. The frenal attachment of tongue can be cut by surgical means using blade and non surgically by use of lasers. Healing is comparatively faster with laser as there is minimal trauma to the tissues. You will be able to get back to your routine in a days time. The procedure is done under local anesthesia only and the cost varies with the extent of attachment. I would recommend a clinical check up if possible, to be able to discuss the procedure and treatment expenditure.
