Hi, yes most of the time osteoarthritis is part of ageing and sometimes our life style aggravates it or it gets aggravated in certain disease like rheumatoid etc. You can do few things to maintain good bone mineral density (by having adequate calcium & vit d level) & strengthing exercises for knee joints, by this you can reduce the risk of oa.
